How good is the EXTINCTION mode in GHOSTS! It's kinda like ZOMBIES, only it makes sense and there's a point to it all! Can't wait to see the DLC and level up further.

In the gamespot livestream today one of the Extinction devs told us there was an Easter Egg on nightfall that is related to a snowman, the only he hint he gave was "Find the sparks". There's multiple poles on the map that have lights on top of them, each has 2 metal tubes attached that spark and blow up when shot, it doesn't seem like they serve any purpose outside of something easter egg related. We shot what we thought were all of these poles in one game, but nothing happened. I know Extinction doesn't get much love here but Easter Eggs do and I really want to figure this out, does anyone have any ideas?

I got my sentry guns. I made it solo to the 11th hive. I was going strong until I derped off of the cliff while setting a sentry gun. Yup. Fail mode activated.

In Extinction mode, there is a "currency" called Teeth. You can earn teeth through various tasks: completing Extinction missions, using relics, playing in hardcore mode, helping other players complete a mission for the first time, and every 300 cryptid kills (also there is a "bonus pool" that refills every 24 hours giving you 1"freebie" teeth for simply progressing past the first area of hives on any map). There are many who believe Extinction to be a Simple Game Mode with a Simple Story which Pales in comparison to the Zombies Storyline.... I havent seen anyone else do this but me but thought i would share with the forum. The easiest way to rid yourself of a rhino and you can do this single handily. Is to put down a sentry gun let the rhino charge at you as he gets to the gun he will stop and start pounding the ground. Stand right by your sentry when u see him stop. Pick your sentry up move back as far as you want place it again and get a bunch of damage in while he is stopped. Just keeping doing it until he is dead. You take practically no damage and kill a rhino pretty fast with a fully upgraded sentry

I just wanted to air an issue i had with escapes in Nightfall. When i was playing nightfall, one had to fight the breeder at the end for a long time to get a platinum escape. You ran down on health, ran out of cash, but it was worth it for those platinum escapes. Then idiocyward says that was a mistake. The faster you got out, the higher level escape it was. Okay fine. Your mistake iw, we could forgive that easily. But then they took away our platinums and gave us bronzes. Wait. So we played the extra hard way just to get those platinums, then for them take those hard earned platinums away was completely unfair. That and the horrible kniving are wh…

Hi. I am a huge fan of extinction mode. I enjoy playing this with friends and or randoms. Currently I am 1 rank away from 4th prestige and I have beaten the game with 3 relics at a time with randoms. I highly recommend going for a grenade turret to take down the first 2 barrier hives in under a minute. Other setup includes: Medic, Pistol, Armor piercing ammo, Random supplies or Armor, Vulture, Grenade turret. I have 3 relics currently active. Pistols only. Inflict less damage to aliens. Take more damage. I plan on doing the smaller wallet for my 4th relic. Strategy: Armor is the most important thing. After that I'd say Medics are because…

Well, the title says it all. Who is your character when you play Extinction? Do you use a special character like Makarov? A clan character like the Body Count warrior? Or is your character something of your own creation? Feel free to share pictures as well if you like! Personally, my Extinction character is either the Hazmat or the recently released Astronaut, mainly because they both just fit in so well with the theme of the mode. Also, although I have characters like Zakhaev and Price, I just find it weird when I play as them and find that their voices do not match their characters at all. Zakhaev should never sound like a surly black man.
