Well people who have followed the Half Life series and the story, the day has finally come. Marc Laidlaw, the story writer of HL, resigned by Valve and 10 years after the creation of this story (now his secret holding contract has ended), has released the story of the never by Valve created HL3. I bet anyone knows the popular "Half Life 3" hype/memes, but for those who really know the prior HL story, it means more. Like I said before, Valve has not created this game. For some reason, they stopped continuing the HL series, and abandoned this HL3 story. During the awfull long period of Valve's radio silence ever since the release of HL2 ep2, Marc Laidlaw has exc…

After e3 today, I have thought up a decent game idea (not the best lol) that would probably be fun. Here it is: Setting: Pre/During/ and After the time of WW1 Background: Mr. Adam Topo, an American foreigner, is at the forefront of French business, as with the rest of the world. However, he's quite a deceiving businessman. He rips off millions of customers, yet they keep buying. No one can ever get in the market either, because he'll have them assassinated, and pay off the police. He gets away with so much evil in the comfort of his American mansion. He's kicked out his family. Abused his workers. Even killed off his own mother because she showed up on Christmas, whe…

The world's most popular game, over 27 million people play it. It is the pioneer of eSports, and I am obsessed. I have spent way too much time and money on it, and I am just about to get into Ranked (which is the thing where you can get better and prove your worth to the world in the ultimate manhood display of a video game). Anyway, my LoL name is Ehjookayted if anyone plays on the North American server. Would be happy to duo with people and/or create a CoDz ranked team to smash up the noobs. As we say in the League, SEE YA NERDS. A fellow nerd~

Well, Here we are, many are getting hyped about advanced warfare while others just shrug it off and stopped giving a shit. so now I ask a question....Is Hype good for Games? There are 3 levels of Hype when it comes to games No Hype - The " I don't know what that is and I don't care" type of hype Interested - The " This game might be good, let me try it out" kind of hype and of course. Over Hype - The " HOLY SHIT THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE SO AMAZING GOTY!" type of hype. In my opinion I believe over hyping a game can actually make a Good game look rather Shitty. A good Example is Titanfall. by itself it's a pretty good game. However before the game's…

What's up guys, I decided to set up a thread about my favorite game series of all time, Jak and Daxter. I've been watching Let's Plays of the series lately, and the nostalgia is killing me! I'm going to have to buy PS2 wires and all the games again lol. It's also gotten me mad that the series hasn't been brought back. So yeah, are you a fan? Hate it? This thread is for people to talk about the series, think up new game concepts, bring up news about the series, anything you want! Personally, I'm going to say what so many of us fans agree on: The Lost Frontier isn't canon.

Do we have any tekken players here? Chances are if you were growing up in the playstation era, you played this game, or you were ungodly lucky and had an arcade in your town. I thought this would be a good spot to look back on some great memories playing the game, and talk about your favorite characters. This was the first game that I considered "social gaming" because my brother, his 4 friends and myself would sit around the room trying to do victory laps ( beating everyone in the room consecutively) and talking some of the craziest smack talk I ever heard. Back then I was all about Law, the Bruce Lee character, he was easy to play so before I actually le…

Now, not much is known about this game yet other then it is BEAUTIFUL in scenery and will feature Link and a horse... And probably zelda... We don't even know when in the zelda timeline this takes place. (not that we ever do) Right now there are 3 big theories: 1: The game takes place AFTER skyward sword, but BEFORE the minish cap. 2: The game takes place after "Adventure of Link" 3: The game could take place before the unification war (before Ocarina of time) Each of these have their own perks and a few downsides. For instance, if it is directly after skyward sword, we KNOW the end result is that hyrule will come out of it. The unification war wil…

Recently I got the Mass Effect Trilogy, and I've never played any Mass Effect games before hand. I've started the first game, and I would like to ask for some advice, things I should look for, etc. So, any Mass Effect players out there?

So I was looking at games in the playstation store a while ago and noticed that this game was on sale like -60% and I had thought of buying it before and now with a cheap price I decided to get it. And oh was it worth it! This game is the best game I've played on PS4. It has interesting storyline, lot of sidequests and collectibles and the gameplay is quite well carried out. The combat system reminds me a bit of Assasins Creed 3 but feels like it's so much better. The game rewards you for being stealthy (especially in some parts of the game) but getting caught doesn't instantly mean failure but rather a sword fight or running away. There's a lot o…

Anyone excited for this game? It's pretty much Mega Man (those boots!) But look how prettttty it is lol. I will be buying this game as soon as I get the chance, I'm not sure if it's considered an indie game as it's being made by the creator of Mega Man, but regardless I will own it.

So I wanted to open up a general topic post for the arrival of the newly ported version of Minecraft. I only played it for a lil bit last nite after downloading it and already I can see a big difference in the frame rate. I am a big fan of the game what do you think? Violent Professional

What songs do you like to listen to while you're playing video games? Do you have a mix specifically for a game/genre? I'm about as ignorant as they come when it comes to music, but when in doubt, I always play wrasslin' themes. Who wouldn't want to jam out to Real American while savin' the USA: or when I'm plain just kicking ass I put on some Stone Cold to fit the mood?

Sup Guys, so I just can't get into zombies really anymore. TBH I haven't had time to play much of anything recently, but the last time I sat down to play it I just couldn't. Today I bought myself Dishonored and Dark Souls 2, with Dragon Age Origins coming tomorrow. Any suggestions on what to play first? I'm looking to lose myself most of this weekend, what do you guys think?

Has anybody here been playing Overwatch? I've kind of become obsessed with it recently because it's one of the best multiplayer games I've played in so long (sorry cod!) The game is kind of flawless in my opinion, I don't really see any problems with it except Bastion but that's simply fixed with a nerf. Overwatch is so fun and I haven't touched BO3 since I got it, It just has so many great characters and maps plus it the matches are really short and don't last forever which is amazing. The games also not competitive which was shocking to me, a lot of the people who play are really nice and most people just want to have fun playing it, the community is just fu…

Has anyone played, or heard of this game? I've been doing walkthroughs of it since it's release, and never thought to ask anyone here if they were playing it. This is a Konami "game" that places you in the scene of a murder, the only thing is, you're not here to catch a killer, you are somehow pulled into the murderers version of Silent Hill. The husband was possessed by some unknown force and killed his wife, son and daughter. You learn a long the way all though the husband murdered his family against his will, he wasn't the nicest man to begin with. Liquor bottles and pills scatter the L shaped hallway giving hints to the lifestyle of the husband. A lone radio pla…

Hey guys, this is a topic that I come across on many boards over the net so thought I would put it here and see if anyone has any thoughts or opinions to add to the discussion. I appreciate that it's been around a lot longer on PC, but this written with consoles in mind. PATCHING . . . Is patching a game a good thing or a bad thing in your eyes? Like I said it's a topic that I see on many boards over the net and I thought I'd put my thoughts down here. Let's look at the console scene Pre November 2005. Internet capabilities were first seen on the Sega Dreamcast (correct me if I'm wrong) and was the only reason I bought one. Heck, by the time I did…

Well I figured another strategy game involving zombies would be appreciated on this site. Any points to make about the game please feel free to share: This includes strategies, opinions of plants and zombies and mechanics (the game mechanics not the zombie that's not included into the game yet), and any future ideas you have.

Well, have you guys played it? what do you think about it? I have personally been a fan of pokemon and pokemon games since generation 1 and as the pokemons in Pokemon Go are currently 1st Gen I thought I'd give it a go. And damn I like it! There's still a lot it can improve but I find it very addicting and fun. I like how it basically forces you to go out and search for the pokemons. Just be careful and look where you're going so you don't end up in dangerous situations. The tracking system doesn't work at all at the moment which is a bit shame, but they'll probably get this fixed at somepoint. Also I think the pokemon spawn rates are a bit dumb...…

You wake up as chell, you're in a forest, far away from any civilization. There's a wheat field behind you. You will begin having flashes of aperture's horrors. You will be given some simple tasks to do to learn basic training: Carrying fire-wood, jumping up roots and branches to trees, and melee attacking the badger trying to make off with your meal. At this point I should mention controls: Done by Xbox-one's buttons. X: Use/pick up highlighted item Y: Target/Highlight an object (Co-Op only) Hold to activate motions and gestures. A: Jump B: Crouch Start: Pause Select: While held, activates the character's special ability RT: Lighter color portal RB: …

What are your opinions? Which will you be choosing? Playstation's presentation focused much more on games, while Xbox focused more on how it's a home entertainment console. And while that's not bad, I really wanted to see more games. I still haven't decided. E3 will be big for me. I want to see the games for Xbox One and the announcement's close proximity to E3 definitely was a reason for the lack of games. Whichever I get, I plan to get Destiny for. What does everyone else think?
