Stand at the left corner of the open barricade near Juggernog. Pan up and aim the Tomahawk crosshairs right at the light post directly above you on the hill. Just jump and at your highest point, launch that sucker. I would never recommend the Gondola because of timing issues.

Gaming routines, rituals, and superstitions
InfestLithium replied to Mr. Jay's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Sounds more suited for, say, a Search & Destroy match. Gives you more time to drink so you savor every drop of bliss. I dare you to try that in Domination, though. I found a new ritual that seems to give me the upperhand before starting a Zombies match: one Caprisun must be sacrificed and two Hot Pockets must reside within my belly immediately before starting. -
Gaming routines, rituals, and superstitions

1) I can't play with my shoes on. Socks is a must because they feel cozy. 2) I need to be within 5-8 feet from my TV. Maybe I just need glasses, because I can't see if I'm too close or too far away. 3) There always needs to be food next to me. Always. I usually roll with tortillas, pizza, or even some water melon. 4) Left-sided headsets are a must. There is something about hearing audio solely in my left ear that makes me at peace. 5) I like to snake. Black Ops II ruined that for me, but Black Ops is my outlet for my ever-so popular technique. -
Until those videos surface, I'm afraid I have to lock this thread. Vulgarity against other members is a clear violation of our Code of Conduct. There is no need to be obscene and act childish towards others. We follow a strict "no proof, no call" policy in terms of secret finds. i understand your concern that this may be something, but everyone who has posted in this thread has perfectly stated what occurred because it is what it is - a glitch. Once the evidence is sent via message to one of us (staff), this thread will reopen for discussion. Until then, this thread is under lockdown.

Mechanics don't always lead to Easter Eggs or hidden secrets. Yes, there's generally a backstory to the overall map/mode. A great deal of your answers can be found in MMX's video as posted above. A glitch doesn't create a "secret". Believe me - there are people who scrap every single little detail in each file of the game. Once those details surface, we have everything that can possibly exploited. For example, there were several bits of information in Tranzit files that suggested new modes along with a totally different look for Grief or whatever mode it proposed. This is not to say that we have discovered 100% of the secrets in Black Ops II. Hell - we may have left some in Black Ops as well. Until there is crucial evidence other than glitches, though, there really isn't anything "secrety" that's actually left to emphasize. But by all means, keep looking.

The problem lies with the the overall objective - powering the towers. Everyone knows that. Power this spire, power that tower, power the final tower, voila - all your hard work paid off in such a minimal way. And again with what DBZ said, what does standing on tiles have to do with powering a tower? The only honest one about this scenario was Mob of the Dead. While all you did was ride the plane several times before going into it as Afterlife, look how it genuine it was - no force into doing the Side Quest, uncovered more background information about the Mobsters as you progressed, and left you on a semi-cliffhanger to speculate what happened as a result of breaking/maintaining the cycle. Perfect way to do an Easter Egg in Black Ops II. You could easily see the dramatic shift from conspiracy-based Easter Eggs in Black Ops to power-driver Side Quests for Black Ops II. Should the conspiracies return, then we'll get right back on track.

I Have a Question About User of the Month
InfestLithium replied to MysteryMachineX's question in Questions
I think there's actually a mod for this called iPBBlock (or something along those lines). It essentially replicated the block style and you can add any custom information you want in there. It would mean manually inserting the info and everything else which may be a tad time consuming; however, it yields the desired result of a personal congratulations for UOTMs. http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/2447-e32-custom-sidebar-blocks/ -
Loose Ends - The Unsolved Mysteries of Zombies (W.I.P)
InfestLithium replied to Naitrax's topic in General Zombies Discussion
They knew that the N4 was an unpopular choice of people. I guess they wanted to throw a curveball one last time so we'd end up with more questions about Broken Arrow than his actual past. Looks like we're left to propose an answer for it. -
Loose Ends - The Unsolved Mysteries of Zombies (W.I.P)
InfestLithium replied to Naitrax's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I totally agree with MMX on the degree of knowledge. Some things we know about extensively, while others will only receive ambiguous answers. That's not to say theories can't be proposed, however, there's still an 80% chance (based on the degree system) of which the question isn't fully solved. In fact, more than 80% will not be satisfied since these are degrees of loose ends. Maxis mentioned something along the lines of "decades" from the last encounter he had with a survivor (Tranzit quote). It gets tossed around because Nuketown happens during Moon, yet Tranzit seems to follow directly after Nuketown with the appearance of Marlton's being in the fallout shelter plus the bus. 10+ years is still plausible, though. In fact, it is very plausible. Just follow me here, because it all bottled down to one point. Recall Tian Zhao? He is the leader of the Strike Defense Coalition (SDC) that was largely prevalent in the year 2025. The SDC is a Chinese-led military coalition in the campaign of Black Ops II that rivaled America. It is important to note that the SDC was largely of the Chinese because what zombie mode/map contains SDC zombies? That's right - Die Rise. Now let's continue on. We know that Die Rise takes place after completing the Tranzit Side Mission. Even if you approximate a day or week or month after it, you still get a relatively close date between the two modes. Therefore, we can assume that Tranzit = Die Rise (in terms of date proximity). Now that the connection between those two have been made, let's turn our attention to a particular box. This box can be found in the Multiplayer map, Meltdown in Black Ops II. Looks familiar? It is the same exact crate from Moon. Now some will call this a re-used texture, but it seems oddly peculiar to use the same crate on a different game only once. These crates - if belonging to the SDC - could very well be the link setting Moon/Nuketown/Tranzit/Die Rise into the same time zone. I had too much of a brain fart and will continue to elaborate the ending explanation later. -
I believe that the community can handle it correctly with no interference from the staff. As someone had mentioned before, it's not the staff's job to dictate the presentation of brains. Members were capable of using the system on a decently-fair level before, so let's continue that trust onto now. Let not the brains judge your reputation, but the content of your character.

Welcome back, Requix! Glad to see you've arisen from the undead once again! Perhaps a bit of 115 got into your system?

I have to agree and disagree, Mocking Me. Yes, you want to be better than the opposing team with your survival skills having to outmatch them in order to win. At the same time, you need to understand the concept of griefing. The goal is to play dirty in any way that doesn't include cheating [performing actions that are not initially supposed to be in a Grief match such as exploiting bugs]. This means forming team blockades or using certain items/power drops to hinder your opponents' performance. As for what gamechanger posted, I like the concepts of them but a few seem to be too OP. The Random Water Bottle, for instance, could be a huge bugger. Even if you have an in-game function to make them rare, just imagine how tough it would be to lose Flopper on, say, Cellblock when blasting rounds near your feet. Still, it would be pretty funny to see that ragequit commencing in a few seconds. They ought to have a de-Max Ammo that remove the enemys' current clips in their weapons so they are forced to reload.

I myself am a fellow Crafter (but on Xbox 360, unfortunately). Welcome to the family! And no, you can't use Gersch Devices to escape from our clucthes loving arms.

Welcome to the family, friendo! To be honest, I'm not all that great at Die Rise either, haha. Perhaps if I stopped screwing around with the Trample Steams, maybe I would actually be decent at it. Come for the zombies, stay for the fun (and more zombies of course). :)

Most of us have left Mob of the Dead alone in the dust since the Black Ops II finale. Some have given different perspectives of it in conclusion to Origins, while others hold it in contempt of disarray. There is not doubt that MotD alone ignited several questions along with some a few answers. Of the answers, however, lies key points that actually brought several factors of Zombies into question. Let's dive a little deeper into what insight the popular map has given us (instead of a debate on who created it). The Controller :: The More, The Merrier While it was fairly common that more than one deity could reside control over the zombies, Mob of the Dead delivered a long-promised concept that was discussed for years in the community - Lucifer/Satan (or even remaining as the Ancient Evil). That's right, friendos. A different entity reigns over the undead in the installment of the map as a result of satanic rituals within the prison. This is more than just claiming that there are several controllers; in fact, this gives us much leeway into knowing who had control prior to Samantha (which we'll actually cover further in a bit). The Demonic Announcer is Lucifer - http://callofdutyzombies.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?14673-The-Demonic-Announcer-is-Lucifer The Satanic Illuminati Involvement in Zombies - http://callofdutyzombies.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?5574-The-Satanic-Illuminati-Involvement-In-Zombies-Hot-Topic The Controller - for lack of a better name - can be heard via MotD Easter Egg, power drops, and also in the beginning/ending of a Cellblock Grief match. Some evidence of Satanic influence: Satanic Influence in MotD - http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/index.php/topic/154280-satanic-influence-in-motd/ Cerberus and the Portal to Hell - http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/index.php/topic/154617-cerberus-and-the-portal-to-hell/ The Dead Rising :: A Global Scale While we happily felt nestled in the knowledge of the Der Riese experiments, we assumed that the control of zombies was held within that specific location (or at least was conceived there). With the addition of Mob of the Dead, we were confronted with our new cast malevolently fighting through the undead horde in a penitentiary located on the other side of the globe. The introduction to the birthing of zombies was quite simple prior to Motd: As a result of Mob of the Dead, however, we realize that calling the experiments the birthplace of zombies isn't technically true. Satanic rituals were performed in the penitentiary almost an entire decade before the experiments took place in Der Riese. Here is an excerpt from MurderMachineX's A Zombie Trilogy. Yes, I understand that the night of the escape plan/morning of their execution doesn't equate to the exact date of the ritual practices. What must be understood, however, is that this is the initial time point where the rituals could have started from. This means anywhere between the years 1934-1944, the rituals may have taken place What is so important about emphasizing the satanic practices? Well, that is what brought The Controller into Mob of the Dead. Some say it involved the Warden is seek of power, others may disagree. Choose what you will believe. The presence of Satan/Lucifer is found continuously throughout the map, proving that while there may not be two controllers at the same time with power over the undead, the rising of zombies happened aside from the Der Riese experiments. Element 115 :: The Time Hacker Origins put this plain and simple: Element 115 is more than just a source of energy and reanimation. It has the power to displace objects throughout time into areas where they do not belong. As a result, objects - such as several perk machines in Mob of the Dead - flickers in and out of reality. They have been removed from their point of origin and while still functioning, are distorted. Some objects, however, can actually be plucked out of their respective timelines regardless their size. 481B & 386A: The Missing Blood Vials From MotD - http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/index.php/topic/157574-481b-386a-the-missing-blood-vials-from-motd/ Ala Origins, Element 115 has been confirmed to also navigate the Mystery Box through different time periods as well as the weaponry commonly found within the map. While these sources of information are slightly common knowledge now, this is a reiteration of what Mob of the Dead prepared us for. In a way, you could even say that it gave us new insight on Zombies as a whole - an alternate beginning, the control of power, what Element 115 has to offer, the very definition of Zombies. The mode explains the origins behind those broad questions like "how did the Mystery Box end up here" or "why would zombies be here". Of course, there are several questions left unanswered as well. Only time will tell, friendos.

Won't be on for a while, at least another hour. Don't think you guys will be on still, but yeah, I'll add you and we'll just take it from there haha.
And Jay, I might need a favour for Buried haha

It's also a pain in the ass when I'm already boarding up a barrier, only to have a near heart-attack from all the boards to smash against the barrier unexpectedly. Thanks for taking my points - I'd rather go easy on the 10's than a flat 200.

Black Ops 2, despite all the negativity floating around it, actually brought us some really awesome concepts that we would never expect. Sure, it was different from the classic vibe of pure survival in Zombies, but it really gave color to the mode with all the creative juices pulsating through it. Personally, I'd love to see more buildables. But rather than have one item depend on another to function, make them resourceful outside of pure killing. The Wind Turbine, Trample Steam, and Maxis Drone were perfect examples of that. It's clear we like buildables that not only kill, but give us some form of protection while making us chuckle (Trample Steams anyone)? It's already been said enough times, but Challenges were awesome in Origins. I want to say that even one standalone challenge really kept me playing. There is some Zombie mentality where I want to complete a given task if I know that the reward is...well, rewarding. Nothing gave me more goosebumps than obtaining the One-Inch Fist after killing tons of freakbags while avoiding the Giants and Panzer Soldats. The concept of challenge without an alarmingly impossibly difficulty really gave the definition of Zombies survival in my opinion. Let's see more of those, but don't force them onto players like the Side Quests. As much as I love cutscenes, I don't believe in them for Zombies. There is a golden nugget in terms of making theories when a map delivers a specific ending via Easter Egg completion. By not giving us a cutscene, we're allowed to form ideas, theories, and creative explanations to what just happened and what it will mean alter down the road. Interactive objects are always a plus for me. Some don't like the extra effort being made to avoid them at times, but I think it gives that extra danger element to playing. We all know how to hold ourselves down when training zombies. Knowing the map's layout and learning the best routes will come naturally over time but once it's learned, all that's left is endurance. Put something in there to benefit in which that object can help or hinder our performance. The bus in Tranzit is a prime example of just that.

Mics are just useful when you see everyone else with one. I tend to have mine plugged in all the time, but I don't really talk unless there is another person talking. I'd rather not use my mic when people cry over wanting to do the Easter Eggs. Some randoms are fun to talk to, others are just an annoyance when their vocal level is causing my earpiece to catch on fire from the high pitches.

Welcome to the family, garcia! It's great to have a fellow musician on board. I myself play guitar and some bass. Is there a specific genre that you enjoy playing, or is all freestyle? Enjoy your stay...forever.

[because I'm dying to give another answer to this although it was directed towards Shooter (who is free to kill me as he pleases).] The 1918 excavation mission is more than likely set in stone regardless how much you try to flop the timeline around. As Shooter said, there are two positions that include that objective - (1) where Group 935 set themselves up in Northern France and eventually found 115 + the Ancient ruins, and (2) the organization is swarmed by the undead which brings in four unlikely soldiers to fight together and open the gateway to Agartha. There is no designated evidence in any past maps that recall excavations in Northern France. We know that 115 has been available on Earth since 1908 ala Tunguska event. That alone gives us some confidence in the possibility of even unearthing Element 115 by then. But I must confess in that all this hype, there is one small problem - the powers of 115. According to the Origins that we play in, Group 935 unearthed the element and used it to create machines powerful enough to captivate the entire area. Think about it: giant patrol robots, Panzer Soldats, the upbringing of the Mystery Box through discovery of 115's distortion of time and space, the Pack-a-Punch machine (yes, it is related outside game mechanics as Richtofen even goes as far as explaining the origins of it and what it can be after building it). Had the Germans harnessed 115's abilities in reality, would they have not won World War I? That leads me to think that while Group 935 did start their excavation in Northern France, the reality was that they were unsuccessful in discovering Element 115 along with the Ancient Ruins. Thus, they did not have the power to push back the Allies and lost the war in 1918. I'm positive that finding the element would lead to the same result of obtaining such vivacious power beyond their wildest dreams. Sad to say, they didn't. Tl;dr: The 1918 excavation did occur, but only to a certain extent. It isn't until Samantha's existence within Agartha that the event is distorted into a new timeline and result.
