  1. I promise everyone that there will only be more questions than answers once we get the cutscene. It's like Buried only telling us what the Rift was...in a very broad image too. Where one question was answered, 10 more arose.
  2. I know it's a long stretch, but hear me out on this. We know the eye color dictates the controller in either the Aether or MPD or wherever an entity may control the zombies from. It's already been said that yellow is the default color, but what if the eye color never actually changed when Samantha took control? By this I mean that no actual color was attributed to her in any way. Lucifer would be signified by a red-hellish color. Richtofen is signified as well but with a blue color. Samantha, however, is not signified by any color at all. Misty (the member above, not character ) made a really good point about her not understanding her true potential; the other controllers know what they are capable of doing in terms of ability and power. Tl;dr: Samantha has no relation to the eye colors.
  3. I think the same might apply to the zombies as well. They also carry the same damage counter based on where you shoot them and with what weapon. Anything from the chest and up can be lethal, whereas a shot outside the said region doesn't receive the same multiplier. The damage a gun can do remains constant but the multiplier does not.
  4. Trench knife is absolutely amazing. It would probably just hold the same animation of a Ballistic Knife minus the extra knife of course. Any form of a rifle would work for me. WWI, WWII, I don't care - throw us a curveball and surprise us in your weapon selection (as if you didn't already), Treyarch.
  5. Non-cannon as to what weapons are in what time period. They do not follow correctly when it comes to why a certain weapon is in a pre-dated map. Wonder Weapons, however, do have a strict reason in being shown. If the Ballista comes into play legitimately here (none of the Ak-47 in Call of the Dead crap), I will be happy. I love playing with the DSR in Zombies, but nothing spells infinite love for sniper rifles than a solid shot with that gun. Such precision yet makes you feel overpowered to an extent...just imagine that Pack-a-Punched or with Double Tap II. Priceless.
  6. The first thing that came to find was a remote-controlled C4. That just sounds like torture to be honest, but hey - just letting my imagination flow here. But indeed, it does look very much like a supply pack. I've never seen it constructed that way, however. Me thinks it would be a remote control...possibly for the giant robots. If it is, then I will eat my shirt with a spork.
  7. Yum to hearing Avenged Sevenfold once again. Favorite band playing my favorite style of music is obviously going to be even more of a favorite once I hear their masterpiece. If their track is going to be involved in the opening cutscene, then I agree we will encounter an additional song throughout the gameplay as well. If it's Elena, awesome. If it's Clark/Malukah, then still awesome.
  8. This is the first perk-related glitch when Black Ops II was released. If you snag your Turbine at a precise moment upon purchasing a perk-a-cola, then there is a slight chance the game will quirk and treat your perk as if the machine were still on; only for you.
  9. I'm assuming this was done in Custom Games, right? The blue light should be on once you start a new match on Buried. It won't exactly display int he same match which you completed the Side Mission/Achievement.
  10. I thought it was to channel more energy to the entity giving the instructions. Each mode had their own variation of a tower. Tranzit transferred the necessary energy to gain more power via 115 or electricity. Die Rise used elements from nature in some fashion. How this works exactly, I'm not too certain. Buried involved the wisp for either side. Maxis seems to use it as a double, hence using the Time Bomb to relay the step twice whereas Richtofen uses the 115 or substances from the zombies to increase the magnitude of the original wisp.
  11. We won't know until we see everything once the DLC drops. To say that there's a connection between MotD and Origins would take more than just a few numbers. In 1917, the MotD crew were not inmates at Alcatraz yet. It's impossible for it to be their blood vials. Speaking of MotD, it was more of a safe-guarded prequel to what we knew had occurred (Der Riese onwards). Origins is yet another prequel but to the entire storyline. Hell - it might even force us to rethink what we know about Zombies. Mob of the Dead gave us better insight on what else can control the zombies and what was going on outside the perspective of what we know.
  12. I think it was already mentioned beforehand, though I don't exactly recall if any topic was made about it. Seemed more likes a tease towards us. I would even go as far as saying that Jimmy agrees with Shangri-la being on Mars, but that isn't a very definite answer to our questions. You could take this two ways: "Seems like paradise...Shangri-la IS paradise so therefore..." "Seems like paradise, BUT..." Definitely worth noting. Thanks to bringing this up (and having it revived), friendos. :)
  13. 1) This has been discussed already, but there is the possibility that these zombies are just...zombies. They have no controller at this moment and will hunt you down for the sake of eating you or whatever it is you believe natural zombies tend to do. 2) Supposedly, this is the unearthing of Element 115. Even if this is not true, we know that zombies can arise through any sort of power given that there is any (i.e. Mob of the Dead). I'd rather stick with the primary reason. 3) A very large loophole indeed. But I would believe that Treyarch would not screw up this badly just to throw our favorite crew into a WWI era. Could it be possible that they met here, yet went separate ways only for Richtofen to locate them afterwards and utilize them knowing they are the potential test subjects? We'll have to look into that more, I'm afraid.
  14. Be careful not to mistake the Mystery Box light for the other beams of light, which seem to erect from certain areas of the map. They can all light up at once according to some of the trailer frames and the poster.
  15. Changing weather could be something to that of an alert. Y'know, like how the air turns musky and fog kicks in as the Hellhounds spawn? Or it could retain the Call of the Dead effect and block your vision or distant objects (like the robots).
  16. Members are the members group. Donors are those who have donated money to help support and keep the forum running. Affiliates are those who help support CoDz through ways of media or other external resources. They are typically big-name YouTubers that act as our partners. UOTM are users that have been declared the User of the Month. Legends are those who have given a great amount to the community through their services. Consider it the Hall of Fame. Dwellers are the new additions to staff that act as community leaders and role models. Moderators are staff members who patrol through the forum and clean-up the forums as well as maintain a balance in the discussions. Administrators are the head administration staff who oversee all the functions of the forum and make changes where it is necessary.
  17. Riding on top of a tank? I'm down for that. In that case, I don't think zombies can reach us from up there yet it makes us susceptible to the giant robots. There was a mention of using the tank for the Side Mission (Easter Egg), so we should be able to do something while we're on it. I definitely love the look of everything. Looks like we'll be dealing with very, very narrow passages that insist on heavy fire or transportation. My body is ready.
  18. Laser beams coming (or shooting) through what seems to be temples/ancient ruins. I wouldn't think that a zeppelin is capable of that unless there is a greater story behind that....which I'm sure there is. Welp, Treyarch took all my money now.
  19. There won't be any kind of persistent upgrades in this map, considering that those abilities were only given to the new crew. I've heard speculations during Mob of the Dead that what you do on there would still affect what upgrades you had if you played Die Rise or Tranzit, but I'm not very sure if that's true or not. The best thing we can hope for is to have every perk machine that we love in this map. (Don't expect all perks, though.)
  20. Probably so. Going through the trenches as your [co-current] option for traveling across the map while risking a giant robot making pancakes out of you...sounds like a reasonable trade to me.
  21. I'd have to say no. It makes the matches last longer than it should really be considering all the ammo you're taking in. A few zombies might drop one bullet or munition, but imagine what you could possibly do with it. Mule Kick didn't enhance anything groundbreaking other than allowing an extra weapon slot. That can easily become a waste if you are carelessly crawling all over the map.
  22. I had a feeling that if this were a prequel, then it could ultimately decide the fate of what has happened to the original crew. Either that, or we were left on another cliffhanger. Disappointing, but I think this is some kind of "break the cycle" ordeal as well.
  23. We more than likely will not get all the maps shown. As you stated, they were just displayed in the teaser to see how far we've come since Nacht der Untoten to Moon. Does this mean we won't see anything related to them? Absolutely not. There is always some kind of possibility. Shangri-la was not proven to be on Mars; it's just a popular theory that has been handed down for a long time now. If on the globe, it could be anywhere from the Himalayas to somewhere in Asia to wherever it may very well be.
  24. Almost like crop circles etched into stone or something. Even if you can put them together, they won't match up at all. I've tried flipping them vertically and horizontally, but you may at best get three or four that seem to fit (but not quite there yet). We are definitely missing some pieces.
  25. It's funny; we love the simplicity of World at War yet we demanded more because we were pulled into Zombies. Yet, we were given so much from our demands that we complain how we aren't keeping things simple like World at War. Break the cycle, folks.
