  1. ^ Since Kino, most people assumed that the number 6 was in relation to Nova 6. Don't kill me on saying this, but if I recall correctly, it was also used as a by-product for a few zombies such as the Nova Crawlers (but not all). Over time, we began to see less and less of Nova 6's appearance.
  2. A bit of cleaning up.
  3. There are external factors, such as people getting in your way, moving the Box (not in your favor), cluttering areas that you are holding out/training in, and the list goes on. Communication could easily fix that, yes. But bear in mind that not every player you meet will be up for being told what to do or where to go. You just have to maintain a slightly altered mindset is all; the game no longer revolves all around you in Co-op sessions.
  4. It was a good while ago; I believe around December because I was in a lobby with some friendly randoms and we were all having a blast talking smack on one another. It was a public lobby, should I mention.
  5. I just want to say that Grief for sure affects your rank. I lost my shotguns once as a result of a poor match. About two matches later of hardcore Griefing, it went back up.
  6. Welcome to the community, friendo! Trust me when I say that we have all had that light bulb over our heads. When you come to CoDz, you begin to learn things that you never really took into account before and it just gets gears moving at supersonic speed. You'll become really interested in the storyline and start making some connections of your own. I hope that you might share some of those ideas. Enjoy your stay, and keep slayin'!
  7. The fact that they added a laser sight attachment to sniper rifles is baffling. At this point, it's no longer about aiming but hoping that your spray will take down the opponent. People actually play around with snipers more than they have ever before.
  8. There was a comment not too long ago that the Editor could've been Al every time he repeated the cycle. This does not seem to be the case at this point if Al knew the Editor prior to Alcatraz. The buildings shown in the image don't seem like to much at first because the common stereotype of a superhero is for them to reside/look after a bustling city filled with crime and such. Seeing buildings in the background don't come off too much of a surprise to me. Calling the "rift" the events occurring in Mob of the Dead is a rather interesting idea, I must say. When you break the cycle, that would seem to do just the opposite of mending. This may be the key to determining who's side is done in Mob of the Dead. Great analysis, friendo! I hope to see more details regarding this. :)
  9. I'd like to see an amazing weapon buildable/Wonder Weapon. Moon topped it off brilliantly with the Dual Weild Zap Guns/Zap Cannon. To this day, I cannot get over how awesome it is to have Zombies expand until they explode.
  10. Definitely looks the same, and it seems that the outline of said tower is a bit clearer than before. Then again, it seems that it's just resized.
  11. There has been some great detail lately in determining whether or not the Zombies universe resided in a comic book. I honestly wouldn't like the idea of finding out that this is all fiction within the game/"a dream", but the possibilities are endless at this point. The comic book appearance for the loading screens seems to convey a story and indicator of how far along we've come. At this point of Mob of the Dead, we are just barely in the middle of the comic book. viewtopic.php?f=149&t=32378 This thread has a good amount on the same idea that you're thinking in. A very good read, I must say. Dead Ops seems open to being canon, but there just isn't too much within it to make a large impact on the storyline.
  12. I don't understand why people need the Hell's Retriever so early in the game. It can still OHK up past 10. If you really dislike Brutus, however, then it is an enormous plus to have on hand. @BS: Getting it on Round 1 is by pure luck at this point. We're lucky that there's a Double Points drop in the spawn room. I understand that if you take the time to shoot the zombies numerous times before getting the headshot, you'll acquire another said drop within the round, yes? That would mean a secondary chance of an additional Double Points given that Brutus does not spawn in the showers.
  13. . http://gearnuke.com/call-of-duty-black- ... es-leaked/ not a leak because it is in no way confirmed, but could be a good indicator of the timeline for the remaining dlc's Yet the article says "confirmed". It's easy to presume the estimated week when a DLC drops. Every 2-3 months, we grab ourselves a nice little DLC drop. Now the question becomes when will we get some kind of trailer for the next map. ;)
  14. I've cleaned up this thread. Please refrain from comments outside these strategies (or whatever strategy is posted). If you have a problem, do express the concern in a PM or talk to us if it's really that detrimental. By the way perfect, I tried this strategy and it's absolutely brilliant. Got myself to the 30's in a matter of an hour. That almost never happens for me. :)
  15. I let the match tell me what rank a player truly deserves to be. An image on the screen means nothing to me if they can't prove it.
  16. Very, very nice explanation and thorough connection, friendo. I've pondered for such a long time about Element 115, but never would I have guessed that the science behind it was more than just "a fictional supernatural rock". +1 and beyond. :)
  17. In the original Samantha's Lullaby, you can hear the laughs, giggles, and reversed audio of a little girl. But in Mob of the Dead's version, those have been removed so it's just the lullaby itself.
  18. I think I'll stick with Option 2. I'm relatively good at cutbacks, but that staircase can be such a crapper if they spawn right in the dirt. Trains are not terrible at the docks. You can stay near the Beast spawn and run a few loops in that area without having to open the power generator room. Just keep a close eye on the zombies dropping form above. Cut-backs in that area plus in front of the cage (where you can pick up the air tanks) and you will have a glorious day.
  19. I believe so, but only in very minor detail. We know that we will encounter Samantha once more if she is indeed with the O3. There just wasn't really any way of speculating the find any further. But now that we have all these links, it's become a bit clearer.
  20. I'm glad you made the connection with them still accessing Area 51. So many people disregarded that and presumed they were stranded on the Moon. I understand that walking in a blown-up world with a hoard of the undead isn't exactly the safest option, but the fact remains that they still have entry to Earth. Nothing can escape Richtofen's sight. His quote about missing them refers to him not only abandoning his human body, but also betraying the ones who [kind of] entrusted him. Where have they gone, and what have they been doing since that event? We're only prepared to find out in possibly the next (or last) DLC.
  21. Samantha is just being involved heavily in Black Ops II. First we had her lullaby in Nuketown Zombies, then in the new discovery of Mob of the Dead's beginning gameover audio, anod now we're taking a closer look into the menu screen music. I guess it really does beg the question: will she ever get her body back?
  22. The nervous system (at least a part of it) including the brain and heart. I don't see any connection between Him and the Afterlife ghosts. One has their internal structure showing whereas the other is nothing but what most call "floating orbs/mists". People assume that there is a connection between both of these forms are supernatural and can produce an electric shock on command. Bear in mind that when someone is in Afterlife, they cannot harm the zombies; only teleport them.
  23. Absolutely great stuff here, friendo. Now I don't have to listen to video after video waiting for a specific quote when I can just come right back to here (not that the videos do not help of course). Something of great interest caught my attention. These quotes do show that Al knows a little bit about the cycle, but isn't it strange that everyone somehow remembers Al shanking Ferguson? It has been said that "killing" Ferguson is what caused the cycle to truly begin in the first place because they rewrote history in their own minds. Funny how they can't remember the things they built or the sights they saw, yet they remember that one particular instance. Also, these quotes prove that Brutus is some form of a reincarnated Ferguson. It almost seems like he is giving the crew a large guilt trip for killing him, even though none of it is real. Way to make them feel welcome to Purgatory.
  24. The Vector is also a great SMG to use in objective-based matches. There is very little original recoil and it has a quick firing speed. It also does a good deal of damage . :)
