  1. That's awesome bbobs! This is what I got so far: l(em)t G(wo)a nnt n(em)(ow) (em)g(em) nn(em) ngo (em)ll w(em)g w(em)(em) tn(em) (em)nn let go ___ now ____ go 'A'll ___ ____ ___ ____. Instead of following from left to right, I did right to left because there are a few letters that we were provided with that do not show in the sequence ("m" and "l").
  2. Any greyscale images within the forum (not medals) display no unread posts within a topic. So for instance, the topic is considered unread if you didn't check every page of a thread. But if you do, then it is considered read and the grey flame will show that. It's a common forum mechanic that lets you know if you already read through that topic/read all the posts.
  3. It's for the same reason they took out the M27 Law, or the China Lake. They can't have every weapon from Black ops right back into the Mystery Box, or on the walls. For the current moment, it seems that the Acid Gat/VW make up for the crossbow anyways.
  4. That she blows. Smallest little critter you have ever seen.
  5. This is a problem that many people had. After you kill a certain number of zombies in the Buddha room, you should hear Maxis say "Enough!" followed by his "Resurrection is key" quote. When that happens, grab the pack-a-Punched Ballistic Knife and revive someone who is downed by zombies. Downing yourself with a grenade or self-infliction will not trigger the quote. You may have to do this step repeatedly in order to trigger the next quote. Sometimes, you may even trigger this quote outside the Buddha Room (but it's safe to stay in there).
  6. I loved using the CZ75. There was something about that tiny pistol that made slaying zombies feel so awesome. Turn that into the Calamity and Jane - you could get out of virtually any predicament without having to rely on splash weapons like the Mustang & Sally or Ray Gun.
  7. That's what I said in my other previous post, haha. I would kill AND survive a whole round using nothing but the Hell's Retriever on the Golden Gate Bridge. But the reason I do them both on the bridge is because it seems much more simple to me. Either way you look at it, there is a definite link between the number of kills obtained with the Tomahawk and killing on the bridge. This gives us a variety of options in completing the steps.
  8. That would make sense. I guess I've always done this step on the bridge to ensure that I get both steps done. It's not hard to do whatsoever, especially if you're on a relatively low round. ;)
  9. I'm not sure why people say that you need to kill zombies before you go to the bridge. I've played several games where I go directly to the bridge upon first obtaining the Retriever, and go my two full rounds there until I hear the sound. Once that occurs, I go back onto Alcatraz and toss that sucker into the pit. Never had to kill prior to the bridge, ever.
  10. This is what I firmly believe in. By allowing humans to be brought back once again, he can actually rule over the entire Earth and not just the zombies. The Flesh basically worship him, and Richtofen would love to have everyone praise him as some kind of sentinel being - or as a God. Powering the towers may allow him to harness such energy and actually give him enough power to fully resurrect the zombies back into their human state, or even reverse time without hindering his control in the Aether. Whatever it is, we know that he wants more than just the 115 as energy.
  11. I hope that wasn't directed at me. I had one as a result of running out of Gold for a month. Once I was able to pay for my online, I switched back to my main account. I play Grief the exact same way I play it now; dirty, but very aggressive. But yes; if you make another account primarily to only have shotguns, then you are not playing up to par like you should.
  12. Welcome to the community, friendo! Ah, my name is Danny as well. Finally - someone on CoDz who shares the same name as me, haha! Enjoy your stay, and slay on!
  13. I have with my secondary account. I must've played at least 4 Grief matches where I went down over 5 times per game. By the end of the last match, I went from Shotguns back down to the Knife. I saw it immediately and played vivaciously the next match with 0 downs but over 500 kills. I went straight back up to Shotguns. All this while I retained a 200+ K/D. I didn't go below it at all.
  14. The organization of medals has been updated with the new category "Game Achievements". All medals pertaining to any Zombie game has been placed underneath it.
  15. It's because, like Mix said, we have the clues everywhere. Before, we had a whole puzzle with just about all the pieces to put together. This time, we're missing a few pieces and some pieces that should match up to each other don't. Mob of the Dead really gave us the most insight out of all the maps, and all it did was explain how things were before Samantha's reign/Group 935 experimentation. The path Treyarch took with Black Ops II is so distorted because we are not being forced to focus on a new crew with a new agenda and we're left with questions like "what happened to the original crew" and "how does powering towers affect the supposed ending that we all perceive". Even in those, nothing will make sense. Watch - it will be just look Moon and we'll say "OH, now I get it". Until then, we can only piece together what has been given to us and do what we do best - theorize.
  16. 5. Call of the Dead Strangely enough, this is probably my 4th favorite map. But because of how squeezed my list is, it may as well fall into the least favorite category. Zombies can run at lightning speed towards you, even in the shivering waters. George is only a pain if someone shoots him or he yells for the other zombies to get pumped. Maybe I can deal with it more because I usually get my hands on the Scavenger to clear the hordes or because I always go for Stamin-Up, I don't know. The atmosphere is beautiful yet nothing like Tranzit's fog. You'll be running all over the place for something as simple as more ammo or to hit the Mystery Box. But there are a lot of great hold out sections, so a plus to that map. 4. Green Run I hate having to put Green Run on this list, but it's only because all the other maps are neck to neck, leaving no room for this map. It's a great area that offers so many different stations to utilize and firs introduces the modern weapons to toy around with. The Jet Gun is a bummer, but can be a life saver when used correctly and at the right time. While that is said, the expansive area of nothing but space really damages the credibility of Green Run. I know this is what the Bus is for, but there ought to be a few more areas to go around instead of lava and fog everywhere. The Denizens are annoying, but not really a huge disturbance if you know how to take them out before they are dangerous. 3. Shi No Numa Arguably one of the easiest maps to date, it's just not a personal favorite for me. The main gripe I have is the double - sometimes triple - slapping zombies who can karate chop you a thousand times in a matter of five seconds. The layout itself is wonderful along with the gondola and different traps. Once you hit past the 30's, it can get boring quickly if you don't have the Wunderwaffe on hand (then again, who goes that high without it?). There is no real strategy other than to train for your life, and believe me when I say that holding out is not an option. 2. Shangri-la The map isn't horrible for its layout like most slayers would say it is. I have more of a twitch about the mechanics for things like Pack-a-Punch and boss spawns than anything else. It is very similar to FIVE in its close-quarter areas, but at least you have multiple options in getting from point A to point B. The idea of the monkeys are great, but they can be the harbinger of death when you're hitting the redscreen of doom. The same goes for, oh I don't know, Napalm Zombies awaiting your return upon going into the geysers. The Pack-a-Punch machine is also a pain to some extent because the switches will often change locations. 1. FIVE It's way too complicated for a person who loves expansive layouts and interactive areas. This map is so rigidly tight and enclosed, you are forced to mow down any opposition that comes your way with no chance of turning back. The zombies in FIVE are relentless double-swipers and love to stand in between you and whatever exit you are heading for. It can be pretty exhilarating the first few rounds or if you have a heavy arsenal, but you'll find yourself stuck in every corner known to the Zombies world.
  17. We've been working on it, but there have many quite a few problems with getting it to start up again. We'll try and see if there is an alternative so we can have a mobile version of the forum.
  18. Actually, he says "Accept your fate - begin anew". The crew's demise is their death, and they must die in order to restart what they failed to finish. But it isn't to say that they may encounter the O4 in some fashion later down the line (preferably in the next coming DLCs). :)
  19. On my secondary account, I have shotguns. I don't consider myself to be an arrogant player; in fact, that account is strictly used for Grief. ;)
  20. I'd suggest taking down the harder parts, such as the ones in the Dock and the Warden's Office. Those definitely require some heavy usage of Afterlife and would work really well with one teammate activating the instances (power switch, generators in break room) while the other teammate picks up the part. Everything else can be done individually. In fact, you can probably hit all the parts in one round if you can open up all the way to the Docks.
  21. I think it's there to give further hints at satanic rituals going on within Alcatraz. It seems very interesting, considering that it's the only table with skulls and candles aligned as if something ought to happen. But nothing has come of yet in regards to any particular event with it.
  22. Campaign has been very, very relevant to Zombies in many ways - especially Black Ops. There are various allusions within the Campaign that may link some kind of characteristic, such as the Nova 6 in correlation to the Crawlers in Kino der Toten. It has even branched into Multiplayer (Launch = Ascension, Nuketown = Nuketown Zombies). It's not very prevalent in Black Ops II as much, but it still lies within Zombies a bit.
  23. I like to obtain the Hell's Retriever before Round 15 just to be safe. I'll keep the last zombie until I reach the Golden Gate Bridge, then kill him with it. Then, I only use the Hell's Retriever for all my kills (including Brutus) for two whole rounds. Once I've been past 2+ rounds using nothing but the tomahawk, I'll go back to Alcatraz. Go as if you were headed to the Warden's Office, but go underneath the stairway on your way down. If you look at the cells, you'll notice that one of them is not a cell, but just some tables and debris. Across from it you'll see the portal (looks like swirling lava). Charge you Hell's Retriever and chuck it in. If your tomahawk icon keeps flashing but never returns, you've done it correctly.
  24. Welcome to the forum, friendo! I wish I owned a PS3 so I could experience the other side of the gamin spectrum. Oh well, I'm sure you'll find a great crowd of PS3 slayers in this nifty community. Enjoy your stay, and slay on!
  25. Welcome to the community, friendo! I know that feeling of having college come in the way of slaying...it can be really tedious and irritating not to kill some freakbags. But if there's one thing as equally awesome as killing zombies, it's talking about them! I'm sure we'd love to see what you bring to the table. Enjoy your stay, and slay on!
