  1. Don't get me wrong - I love Black Ops II at the moment. I'm not saying that the quality of the game is resonating at a low level until DLCs come along. I only try to see from where the OP is seeing things and attemp to justify the game itself. Of course it can survive without them. The only thin you have to consider is that we've gotten used to DLCs making the game better because of one thing: map and storyline. Just because a DLC rolls in doesn't mean that it will be at a better advantage that the older maps. I mean, look at World at War and Black Ops: there is always one or two maps that are most preferred than the map that is included with the game upon launch. Also, the storyline advances in DLCs as well, so it's definitely not a waste of $60. I'm not forming a position against you; I'm only defending the capabilities of DLC. The game is already great, but it's obvious there's room for potential for those future maps to impress us even more.

  3. The Aether is more of what is considered "the fifth element" - space. There is no construct or actual setting in there; rather, a small void that might even be considered similar to purgatory. It's been said that you can actually see the Aether in-game while you teleport in Kino der Toten and a split second of the Gersch Device. Probably one nice, little cozy place if everyone loves controlling zombies in it. Agartha is a very vast and expansive area (considering that it's nothing but the large center of the Earth). Many entrances can be found going into the Hollow Earth. It would be pretty amazing to step foot into the ancient civilization's land and possibly understand the conspiracies that may flourish into the zombies storyline. A man can dream, can't he?
  4. Rissoles makes extremely valid points. I understand that you are dissatisfied with Black Ops II at the moment, but you must realize that it is still in its infant stage. There will be so much more coming along in the future with new DLCs and such. I feel that people have gotten so used to Black Ops, that it's very hard to transition from so much greatness to a whole, new setting and feel.

  7. Yes; most people would only take a small footage of the last few rounds. If you want to avoid people flaming you or giving you crap like "you cheated in the beginning that's why you won't show the beginning", then it's best to record the whole game. Even splicing is not an option.
  8. Unfortunately, it can't be done without Him, since he spawns in the beginning of the round. Even if you flipped on power for a long time, you'd have to start the next wound for him to appear.
  9. Basically what Hunt said - it's all by trail and error. It's very easy to come across an object that is very out of place that will be accessible to players early on. This could be a radio, a button, some strange object that you can interact with. There are players dedicated to discovering nothing by Easter Eggs when DLCs are released, believe it or not. NGT makes videos about countless discoveries, whether they pertain to the objective or not (they make endless videos so they could be "first" in finding things out). Also, it's been said that some of the steps towards the Easter Eggs are leaked. I can't verify this claim, but it was mentioned upon the discovery of Moon's Easter Egg.
  10. You're shooting wrong. Sorry to tell you, but there isn't any leftover ammo in any of the guns. You probably reloaded when there was still a bit of ammo left over, or you received a Max Ammo, causing your current magazine size to be altered differently.
  11. He says that in reference to him not having any bullets. Hence, Atlantis (even if it were real) would not have anyone inhabiting it since it's underwater. It's not a bad theory, OP. I feel that the mention of Atlantis was only to add more elements to his conspiracy-deemed personality, really. He mentions many, many things that are superficial that don't make sense to what's going on right now. But Atlanta could have been a location that Stuhlinger has visited before, though I don't think they will be going to Atlanta anytime soon given what Tranzit's mode is based off of in regards to Easter Eggs. Nevertheless, a very nice observation. I'd like to see more input on this. :)
  12. I've had this problem quite often. It really is a pain, considering that you never know how long you'll actually go for until you're certain it can't be done. But have you tried hording up a very large group of zombies? Gather up, say, anywhere from 8-14 zombies under the pylon. Richtofen should say something along the lines of "yes, this is a big enough group". That's your cue to wipe them out with your Mustang & Sally (note: you don't need explosives at all; I've done with regular guns and it completes the step just fine).

  15. Hey hey, sometimes I train at Round 8 if I'm still rockin' my M1911. Randoms can be quite annoying at times. Very seldom have I came across an amazing group of randoms that soon became regulars for my zombie squad. As for the other times...well, let's just say I have raged endlessly on my own end. But hey - it's all a matter of understanding that every player is different.
  16. Sensor Grenades are only useful on Core; they detect any enemies in a certain life of sight (motion really). Once it has attempted to detect a figure, it will implode about 5 seconds later, making it a semi-lethal grenade. The only downfall is that it must be somewhere near the enemy. If you toss it on the first floor of the building and the enemy is on the second floor, it will not detect anything. It is good, though, if you want to ensure that nobody is in a particular area. Trophy System disable any and all electrical equipment within a given radius. It also disables their effects, as well as Sensor Grenades. From what I know, it also disables Hunter Killers when they are nearby. Think of it as the Jammer from Black Ops. It's just a huge, spinning machine that is very hard to ignore.
  17. Hm, this is actually a very nice read. Glad to see there are several connections to it rather than one, abridged version of what's already been hypothesized. Nice work. It does seem understandable that Marlton was part of some group related to the CIA/CDC. The only problem is that Marlton speaks of being "discharged" from a particular group and feels like he has been betrayed in some way. How or when he was removed from the group is questionable, but what matters more importantly is that he is separated from other contact. I'm assuming that he was inside the shelter some time before the agents came to Green Run; possibly with the old extraction team that died off from the nuke being dropped like you have stated. But why would he really be exiled from the group? At least him being left out resulted in his survival. The radio we hear in Green Run's Farm is actually giving us the coordinates to Jackass Flats. It is pretty close to Nuketown, as you can see the radio tower from quite a far distance (viewable both in the zombies map and the Black Ops multiplayer map). The events between the factions should happen before the ballistic missile from Moon impacted Nuketown. Maxis mentions not speaking to another human for "decades", so it goes along well with Green Run being some 20 years later. I'm not too keen on the idea of Marlton biking his way to Hanford, WA. It's a looong distance, but I'm sure if we are even to go along with your theory, he'd have to hop onto the bus at some point or another. But I am really liking your original route theory with the Bus Driver. Now the question becomes what was the original stop rather than Green Run...it's difficult to tell with he numerous locations that the Bus Driver points out due to the navigation error. Keep your ideas and theories comin', friendo!
  18. Just remember the weapons are non-canon in zombies. Wonder Weapons are excluded from this factor, since they are indeed crucial to the storyline and even have a backstory to them. Also, I understand that we are used to judging the timeframe based on our surroundings and what is given to us. But keep in mind that we cannot call Green Run as a 2025 map just yet. We have no proof that it leaped half a century from the events of Moon. The map seems to be more settled in the early to mid 1980's. Maxis states that it's been some decades since he has gotten into contact with human life. That, itself, makes it safe to believe that Moon occurred in the 60's while Green Run happened 20 years later. Things become confusing when you toss Nuketown into the picture because of Marlton's cameo. That douche totally screwed our timeline over.
  19. I'm not too sure if they'll add more emblems, considering that people are still having a difficult time figuring out the actual setup for ranking. It's hard enough achieving shotguns, let alone a skull w/ knife. Though I honestly wouldn't mind if they had emblems that personally matched the type of player you are (i.e. a person who revives others often earns a medic emblem, a player who uses tons of ammunition earns a gun emblem, etc).
  20. Well, that explains what that symbol comes from. I highly doubt it was re-used texture, seeing as those are the only places the symbols appear. Also, you can see the CCCP logo on the crates in Meltdown; they are awfully similar to the crates in the underground PaP room in Green Run. Very suspicious... Great connection Matuzz!

  24. First off, welcome to the community friendo! Samuel hears Richtofen because he is the perfect candidate to carry out his plans. A schizophrenic conspiracy nut-job who is extremely paranoid? Sounds like the perfect minion to me. Everyone else is too...well, normal to do such a thing. Hence, Maxis seems like the most reasonable choice. As for other voices, Samuel can hear him because Richtofen is in the Aether. Any other voices would not be possible unless they had some other form of communicating.

In fact, I didn't even know about the full setup for blockades until you pointed it out. I'm so used to having a 2-player wall, that I never thought of having at least one defender to watch our backs.
