Hey friendo, welcome to the community! I'm glad you got back into zombies; it's pretty easy to stray away from it. But once you get a taste of it, you'll only want to come back for seconds. It's finally great to have you on board. :)

Rank System has change the game for everrr!!
InfestLithium replied to julpr's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The ranking system isn't necessarily bad; it's something that the community wanted to have implemented. So there it is - something to record every little detail of what we do and accomplish in zombies. Where there are numbers, there will be competition. People only care about stats for two things: emblem and leaderboard rank. Emblem doesn't reflect how good you are as a player; it just tells other people that you met a certain criteria of approved statistics to be considered as a different rank. It's just like Multiplayer; the emblem doesn't define the player. The same can go for stats. I know several people on my friends list who are up in the top 500 for leaderboards, but I know as a fact that they are anything but amazing at zombies. A true zombie slayer shouldn't be concerned with those aspects. Sure, having shotties and being seen as a big dog in the global leaderboards is nice; however, the game itself will test your ability to survive in zombies. Sooner or later, people will know what kind of player you truly are. -
There's a certain kill quota you have to meet; the first marker is at 15k kills. The more kills after that checkpoint, the more you must be careful of your ratio. For instance, I had shotguns for a while and recently was demoted back to the knife after playing a rather grotesque game with too many downs. I still had my ration of 211 with 20k kills. I played a game of solo Survival, grabbed about 210 kills, and got my shotguns back. Now my ratio is at 215.

From what the trailer portrays, it doesn't look that way. I feel that there will be some characteristic in which you can't define the player (zombie) against the other typical AI-controlled zombies. That way, whoever is the human will have a hard time distinguishing the actual player zombie, thus, making it harder for them as time goes on. Perhaps for every turn that rotates, there are more and more zombies to force the human in surviving against a horde of regular zombies and one player zombie.

Population Counter, Marlton, and The Nuke
InfestLithium replied to trevbo's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm assuming that further proves the idea of Marlton escaping via bus? Or at least someone got out/in the shelter? -
It would never happen; the consoles can barely manage loading one, large map filled with an assortment of objects. I highly doubt that teleporting into another map could be manageable. It's a decent idea, however, it just won't work out very well.

It looks to be more of an air-fighter than all the other shadows we've come across. But why would there be a jet? And who exactly is controlling it?

Population Counter, Marlton, and The Nuke
InfestLithium replied to trevbo's topic in General Zombies Discussion
This is a very nice and detailed post. Keep these types of things up friendo. But yes; you have the timeline correct. I'm not sure if you were regarding the Easter Egg as the timeframe (I don't own Nuketown - I wish I could actually see for myself). If that's the case, there isn't too much to explore besides the point of the Easter Egg being a time reference so we could be on the right path of discovering what era we are in (Moon and beyond). There could be a bit more to Nuketown than we imagine; but it seems that we're scrambling to find new discoveries. -
This pretty much sums it up in the end. In all honesty, creating a thread to call out trolls or people who claim to have found "the next step" was not the brightest idea. Who is anyone on CoDz to have the authority to deem someone's speculation/theory/idea "trollish" or "stupid"? This community was founded on the sharing of ideas by various users with the similar interest: zombies. If you have a problem with believing someone on a particular subject, then ignore it. If you understand their concept but have a rebuttal, then post it in positive context; insults put you on a lower level than everyone else. Whatever happened to "if you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all"? The problem on CoDz isn't the trolls. The problem is the members that are too ignorant and dignified to allow the expression of ideas. Shooting down new ideas (whether you think they're logical or not) is the wrong way to go. If there really is a troll, all it takes is one person to experiment a bit out of their day, think of a logical reply to answer the OP's question/challenge it. The staff will then handle any further circumstances if necessary. Simply put, don't reply to someone if you dislike their ideas. All of us have been a "noob" at one point or another. Nobody likes being insulted, so why should you suddenly have that power?

Tranzit easter egg continuation #11
InfestLithium replied to Multiplayernoproblem's topic in General Zombies Discussion
It's used to transfer points between players. You need to punch them while prone with the galvaknuckles in order to open it. Once opened, you can deposit how ever much you like (goes by increments of 1000 similar to the vault). A power drop in the shape of "$" will appear on the other side of the desk, and a player can obtain it. The drawer will close itself once the player has gotten the drop. -

InfestLithium replied to deathb4di2h0nor's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Funny you should mention that; nobody even remotely considered the box, power drops, and perk machines magic-related until we saw that the option could take them away from us. I want to saw that it's a quick attempt by Treyarch to let the average slayer know what is considered "magical" (drops coming out of nowhere, sodas that boost your abilities, a wooden box that can hold various guns and randomize them while 'teleporting' to different locations) and enable/disable them for a more difficult challenge. -
It's been brought up before, but it doesn't hurt to put a cork in it once and for all. YouTube users have gotten used to saying it because practically every video calls him T.E.D.D., and the Call of Duty Wikia even mentions it. It'll be a hard trend to stop so suddenly; however, I do hope people soon realize the mistake. Can I also point out that Him is NOT named "The Avogadro"? Just because it was mentioned in the leaked achievements and in a strategy guide does not make it official. I mean, Treyarch even changed the name to "Him".

[Q] Obtaining, Keeping and Losing Persistent Upgrades
InfestLithium replied to Tom852's topic in TranZit
You lose the quick revive skill when you fail to revive teammate who goes down several times while you're in the same vicinity as them. I remember losing mine at the Diner, where the random went down about 13 times and I couldn't revive them because I was running trains with a PaP'ed DSR and there were two others running around as well. Actually, I revived the guy about 6 times prior to the 13 streak, and once it hit approximately 22 downs for him, I lost my skill (I realized it when I went to revive him and it went back to normal reviving speed). Basically, you have to be a team player or else you are punished by losing your skill. -
Spleens and Cannibals
InfestLithium replied to deathb4di2h0nor's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I don't exactly think it would work very well; sure, the idea is pretty plausible for the time being. What you must consider is how the souls are absorbed when a zombie is killed. This is directly regarded when you fill up the soul canisters near the MPD on Moon. There's an energy transfer of 115 inside every zombie (hence why they are infected in the first place), so it become released the moment they are killed. Recall that any form of killing gives Richtofen power. I think Samuel has some kind of...well, appetite for zombies because he is delusional. When you're a conspiracy nutcase, you tend to create absurd comments, emotions, and strange traits. Richtofen speaking to only him doesn't help his case, so he is slowly going more insane over time just as Richtofen did himself. That's why Samuel was chosen; he would be the only one to listen because of his paranoia. Maybe he took a tasty bite out of a zombie before hand? -
The reason for the bus stop writing is because of the faded lettering and posts covering the outlines. I'm going to reference PINNAZ's image: Note that there is also a spot between the T and O. Since that's the case, I wouldn't exactly hold true to the whole "Stop Rus" idea. Also, the audio file you mention is the transcript from Jackass Flats. The survivors of the camp were pitted against one another due to Maxis and Richtofen intervening. When played, the audio describes how the camp has formed factions against one another, some people killing one another and others even committing suicide to escape the voices. In no way is this referenced towards our Tranzit crew. To go alongside Marlton not appearing in Die Rise, nobody knows what has become of him. Some say the map actually takes place before Green Run, others may say that he is indeed in the map, however, the reason wh he is not shown is unknown. It wouldn't be like Treyarch to kill off one of the major characters. I will admit, though - something is very fishy about Russman. He's not much of a talker like the others, and doesn't seem to have any huge role in the storyline. But that doesn't exactly mean he is useless; it's just very unlikely that he's a villain at this point in the story.

That's what I always assumed as well. I thought it was just some knock-off name for the ever-popular bus line. I did, however, check to see if the "Bloodhound" bus line exists in any way and got this: http://www.cdrex.com/bloodhound-bus-lin ... 64939.html Just a little history note here: the Consolidated Coach Corporation (now known as the Southeastern Greyhound Lines) started in 1926. The same group that formed the corporation also created The Motor Transit Corporation, whose name was then changed to The Greyhound Corporation three years later. It wasn't until 1936 when the Consolidated Coach Corporation became renamed as the Southeastern Greyhound Lines.

Hmm...that's not a bad perspective to look from. I'd have to say nay though, roughly because of one minor detail: how would they escape? Marlton seemingly left via the bus in the middle of the game, but how would the CIA & CDC travel? Any form of transportation that was originally there would be decimated by the impact of the missile. The only other way to end up in Green Run would be walking...but I highly doubt that's even considered a legit transport aspect in the world of zombies. Besides, there are many CIA/CDC operatives so it's rather simply to just send in more of them to any given location.

Just a slight correction: the hat says "Bloodhound 1104". Just adding that so nobody is confused. http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/ ... 01304.html I'm assuming you read this page, yes? It may have just been a nod to the guidance system. Kind of a GPS system when you really look at it. As far as planes crashing into meteors go, it could be looked at as an event that might have occurred in zombies much similar to that. The first instance I think up is Nacht der Untoten, but the plane did not crash into a meteor. Nevertheless, good research. :)

I don't think suicide would be the option to completing any given step. The tweet and your observation is a big juxtaposition. "Death is the most common ending, but it's not necessarily the only ending." It's a good observation; perhaps testing it out won't hurt. There is no winning in zombies (unless you do Grief, hehe), but I don't exactly think that downing in a particular spot will activate anything.

Persistent Perks: theory, test and misinformation
InfestLithium replied to jimmy020889's topic in TranZit
This has been brought up before, but a bit dusting won't do any harm. Some people believe that the multiple green puffs are indeed "level ups" for weapons. You can get the skills with any weapon; it's a matter of meeting a certain criteria. Try reading this thread: viewtopic.php?f=136&t=27477 When the stated tasks are completed, you obtain the skill. Perhaps it's only triggered by completing the objectives [if you notice the headshot one, there are actually three tasks to obtain the skill]. I think the headshot one in particular goes away much faster than the other ones, so you can continuously trigger the skills within a set of games. -
Nuketown Zombies occurs during the events of Moon. If you're talking about the condition it became, then yes; the zombie outbreak originally started before Moon. But when you finish the game (well, die really), the missile from Griffin Station impacts Nuketown directly. But yes; the missiles caused land formations to shift, thus creating the lava. A nice little observation you have there. ;)

Been there, done that; the EMPs have no effect on him whatsoever. Even if you toss it straight into the container.

Die RiZe -> DRZ ? Just one stupid thought...
InfestLithium replied to JustForFun119's topic in Die Rise
I don't think Die Rise will be about motorcycles either. Call it a hunch, but I'm pretty sure we aren't getting that. Would be nice, though. I think it's more of a play on words; it gives us that kick in for zombies in a title name. Just like there was TranZit, there should've been Die RiZe. -
Er...I'm 100% sure that the bus driver was never originally a human, let alone part of Group 935. He's nothing more than an automaton; animatronic robot if you will. Highway engineers first created the road text backwards in the same directions that people driver. You're supposed to see the first word, followed by the next as you go forward. In this case, we'd see BUS, then STOP. Though some people still claim that we are supposed to read it more importantly as "STOP RUS". Look - there are two dirt/blood splatters. One covering the bottom of the B, and one overlapping between the T and O. You can't automatically assume it reads "STOP RUS" because we fail to look at the rest of the design.
