  1. Hey friendo, welcome to the community! Ah, I remember the good ol' days of digging into a corner and surviving to the very last bullet. There are an insane amount of strategies that you'll come across on CoDz that you may or may not have known. Stay around, cause there'll me more to come along the way. Hope to see you around! :)
  2. Hey friendo, welcome back to the forum! It's great to have you back, and I can't wait to see you around more. :)
  3. It does not work. The EMPs will pass through him and explode. Even if you manage to toss one into the container that held him captive, it will do absolutely nothing to him.
  4. More than likely that this will be mentions/implemented either very soon or near future DLCs. If what you're basing off of is correct, we are definitely hitting the Atom Age and the disasters of many nuclear facilities or even questionable areas pertaining to it will be present. Already, Green Run and Nuketown follow this given "schematic". The events of the Fukushima would be a horribly distraught area for zombies...just the way we like it. It may be a little too soon for Treyarch to impose such an incident that has occurred only a year ago, but you never know.
  5. Moon. Moon. Moon. Moon. That is all. Names of a map do not give too much indication on anything other than the concept of understand the setting. All that we need to know is what the name of the map is, and if it lives up to its name. Simple, yet straight to the point and relates to zombies. It doesn't have to be in some language that we're used to seeing, nor does it need to be not cheesy. I could care less of the map was called "Zombies Invade Some Place That You Never Went To But They're Here Anyways Yet You Can't Stop Them + Easter Egg"; just as long as I understand it's a zombies map, that's my concern.
  6. This. We had the Space Race in Black Ops, and now we are dealing with something more extreme. When you think about it, the Moon was not a far-fetched idea whatsoever (although when we barely started playing Kino and Five, we never took the idea as seriously as we do now). After what we encountered with the ballistic missiles impacting the Earth, it forces us to shift our focus to a much larger scale. Not necessarily the Easter Egg, though. The Atomic Age is bound immediately after. To be honest, I too do not care exactly on what time frame the maps take place. We can figure those things out once we get all the kinks worked out when finishing the Easter Egg per map. The atomic bomb that hit Nagasaki (Fat Man Bomb) could have a particular twist ton it, after all. Who says there was no 115 infused in it by the Americans to test it? Now of course, we all know what happens when the Americans try these crazy things out (Nuketown anyone?), but who's to say this hasn't occurred to Japan as well? I feel somewhere along the lines, Treyarch will throw us a curveball using this assumption with, oh I don't know - the Chernobyl Disaster in 1986? Seems more likely to be a key event in out zombies story. Or how about the Three Mile Island incident (which actually occurs before Chernobyl but hey - it belongs to this particular time period of nuclear viscosity)?
  7. Sometimes the graphics will glitch on you and clear the fog a bit. This can occur every time when you are outside and someone leaves the game, causing a host migration. The sky will basically turn blood-red and little to no fog will accompany the map. Of course, you might have entered a "zone" in-game where the code keeps check in which you enter a different area and possibly ignored the graphics change. Keep in mind, entering new zones causes the fog density to change as well as the color palette of the environment. Also, Denizens may not spawn for a great deal of time. I don't know what the case of this is, but I feel there may be a limit as to the amount of Denizens in a given instance, or simply the area that your player is in. I've once waited around for almost 2 minutes trying to get a Denizen so I could teleport. Not a great way to begin the game. The bus driver in general is possibly my favorite character thus far. The amount of fun you can have with him are endless.
  8. The ranking system (and leaderboards) react in the same fashion. If a player drops out of a Grief match, sometimes the game will not count for any Win-Loss statistic. I know this is 100% true for rounds, but very seldom have I not gained any wins because my whole team would disappear yet I win the game as a solo gunner. Also, some matches do no register on the leaderboards until a certain time is met. As far as I'm concerned. 7pm EST is generally the time one would see posted stats if it hasn't been updated yet.
  9. If this map turns out to be future-based (which looks like will be the case), then perhaps we are getting introduced to a new group of characters? It doesn't seem like our oh-so favorite Green Run cast has any means of teleporting. May, just maybe, we may see the original four (well, minus Richtofen and replaced with Samantha). I put my money on a new group though.
  10. The only problem I see with this is that Nikolai is on the Moon with the rest of the crew (as where we last left off - who knows what's become of them). Perhaps you heard a different character in-game like Samuel or someone that mentioned the quote. In fact, I don't even believe there is such a quote similar to that in the audio files.
  11. Setting: Demolished city of Chicago - the Willis Tower Time Period: 1988 Country: America Characters: Misty, Marlton, Russman, Samuel Special Additions: (See additions) Special Boss: Dogs PaP Info: Turn on power, use FRG-Airave 62 near certain spot on top of the Willis Tower to create timed shock charge leading from the Moon. Drops PaP machine to Earth. Traps: Electric Trap, Sentry Turrets Perks: Juggernog, Stamin-Up, Speed Cola, Quick Revive, Double Tap II, Tombstone, Mule Kick, Phd Flopper Wonder Weapons: Ray Gun, Gershe Device, Thundergun New Additions: - FRG-Airwave 62 [Wonder Weapon that reverses gravitational pull on enemies, causing them to rip apart. Done via electric beam, can take down crowd of zombies.] - Links [small trains underground that will transport a player across the map. Zombies can break into tram.] I don't have any creativity in my bones, haha.
  12. You have to use a host like Tinypic, Photobucket, Imageshack, etc etc. Upload it, grab the Direct Link Tag and insert it between the tags.
  13. Please supply an image of this sign. I'm looking around with no-fog enabled and I see no sign anywhere between the said areas. Hugging the right side, you say? I followed all the way from Town up to the Tunnel just to make sure, and there is absolutely nothing - no sign, no brick, nada. I'm not saying that it's false, but something isn't right if I can't find it and it's nowhere to be seen.
  14. Just looked around in one of my clips with no fog. There is no pyramid in sight whatsoever. In fact, not even remotely close to any part of the map. Unless you can provide a screenshot of what you saw, of course. Also, where is this portrait of the "pyramid"? You sure you aren't mistaking it for the Tower of Babel painting?
  15. viewtopic.php?f=100&t=26010 This is how the ranking system works for the most part. It's not 100% official, but until Treyarch releases some information about it, this is the best guideline we have thus far. You can rank leaderboard as long as you are online. Once connected to Live, any and all stats will count in your again unless you encounter one of the following: - a player leaves your online match (disqualifies rounds but keeps stats) - Custom Easy Match is not counted to the leaderboards There is not particular amount of people you need to be in the ranks. Sometimes, your score + stats will not show until a given time. Sometimes, they won't even show at all.
  16. Hey friendo, welcome to the forums officially! I'm glad you enjoy this community, and I'm sure with your seemingly expansive knowledge of the CoD franchise, you can help us in the many ideas we post up. Don't worry about being a big-time poster; all we need is your commitment (AND BRAAAAINS). I hope to see you around! :)
  17. Welcome to the community friendo! I like your idea, although we've already completed the Easter Egg as is, it doesn't mean some elements to the map all aren't deemed useless. The whole story goes somewhat like this: the Tower of Babble is a reference to the biblical story, Tower of Babel like you said. In this story, humans only spoke one common language and were keen to construction. So forth, they began to create a tower to reach the heavens in order to make themselves known to God and prevent a diversification of their land. God, however, saw this as the absolute way of steering themselves from his wisdom, and confused their languages so they could not communicate with one another. To make conditions harder on them, he separated the people from the city all over the Earth. That is how diversification came to be (as a theological understanding). If you take the tower created into similar aspects of which the pylon resembles, the connection is not a way to take one person out of the Aether/replace him, however, it is more so utilized as a form of transferring energy. Note how Maxis forces you to use electricity for power, whereas Richtofen demands consistent 115. The reason behind the two different energies is simple - one would gain power against the other. Maxis can only communicate via electronics, so electricity would enable him to not only communicate more efficiently, but give him a steady source of energy (wherever he is at). Richtofen is in the Aether, and we all know that the 115 retrieved by killing zombies simply fortifies his power. The term "spire" is only used when doing the Easter Egg on Maxis' side. Richtofen calls it the obelisk. You are right though - a spire is the top of a church, which you can even see in the game in Town. I made this point some time ago where each "overseer" coins a particular term for the pylon where they see its role most fit. The spire for Maxis acts as a receiver, but the obelisk for Richtofen is a satellite. Maxis' intentions for it are unknown, but that is where the term "spire" becomes important. Also, the NavCard is not associated with net value. I know many, many people have come to this conclusion, but this is untrue. There is no net value anywhere within the game aside the bank (which also is not affiliated with the card). The other sites that Maxis mentioned are more than likely going to be located in different maps via DLC. We'll need to power up said sites similar to Green Run's. Paris, anyone? Keep up the awesome ideas!
  18. The fourth wall is an intangible barrier in which an object that is not a human entity reaches out to someone psychologically. Think of it as something that seems "alive" and feels as if they are actually in front of you. A perfect example is Deadpool. He is a now-popular comic protagonist that is self-aware of his surroundings as a comic book character and uses his dialogue and rather witty lines to make it aware to the reader. In other words, it messes with your mind.
  19. It's just an allusion quote; it reminds the player of Nacht Der Untoten immediately, so it's as if Marlton is breaking the fourth wall. Besides, he was probably not even born when Nacht made its appearance. And how exactly would he have worked on Nacht?
  20. This has happened to me an exasperated amount of times when I used to play Minecraft. What you can do is clear your cache on your harddrive. http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/ ... stem-cache This will not erase your data or storage, but clean unnecessary clogs of information stored on your Xbox. This can help with getting your console ready to read a game properly.
  21. Is this the structure? Right beside the pylon, that seems to be an oil refinery. You can't access it in the map because of the trains, but you can see just a little more of the train just at the base of it. An interesting site, though.
  22. Another pylon? They're all across the map, some still standing erect. That is, what you're pointing out, yes?
  23. I would wait on it. The Season Pass is way too costly first of all. Soon, they will release Nuketown Zombies as a standalone DLC/implementation like you said. I guarantee you that it won't cost you $50 then.
  24. I think there is a lapse in the system's upgrade trigger. It's supposed to rank a player up once a certain time of day and minimum kill set is reached. Maybe Treyarch lowered the set amounts so it's easier to rank?
  25. It's really hard to grasp the idea that Green Run happens near 2020, and that Maxis' quote about the two vertices meaning is correlating the two sides to the Easter Egg. Those are incorrect on so many levels. But for the sake of the argument, let's take your theory into consideration. The Samantha Easter Egg [hypothetical] seems a tad unlikely since she is no longer in the Aether; rather, she is just as screwed as our original four. But I think that would be what we needed - the original crew. So if I get what you're trying to say, we would need not to contact Richtofen or Maxis, but rather the original four in some way. No where are they mentioned whether they are dead or alive. I don't know how you perform Morse Code from another planet, but it might work out. Easy mode is only easy because there is a reduction in the number of zombies in a given instance. But since we don't typically play that mode, perhaps there may be something in store for us. A nice little out-of-the-box idea, friendo.
