  1. I might as well have said that. But still, I chose the image because it was the only one that was positioned in such a way that could open up my eyes a little more. I am tired of seeing the layouts in the horizontal manner which we all are familiar with. This image seems like the best directional choice in regards to a possible clock formation via streetlights.
  2. Perhaps setting the streetlights when accomplishing the Maxis side of the Easter Egg will trigger it? Everyone assumes it's only available w/ the Bus Depot and Diner because they are easier to get to and have no Denizens running around. Here is an image I found that strikes my interest: Notice how we are looking in the view of the pylon in the northern direction. We have been guessing which way we ought to be facing when dealing with what station could be considered 12:00 and what 6:00. When I look at this image, I see clearly two hot spots for the 7:49 clock: the light in front of the cornfields, and the light directly after Diner's lava pool. For 5:09, you can use the light a little after the cornfields (which the artist did not include by the way), and either of the three lights up "North" [for the record, I will assume it is the one after the bridge since the Depot is used for Maxis and the one immediately after Town is used for Richtofen). Of course, this is such a crude layout that it's not considered the most valuable piece of artwork, but I feel that the original creator of this layout was still right on track with where things are located.
  3. Glad to see you back, Dan - I knew you couldn't resist leaving us just yet. I have a hunch what's going on, and where we need to go. Call me crazy, but if you're right, I'll bake you a cake made of gold. As for everyone else, you guys had better listen to him. He certainly knows more than we could ever even theorize. We're already coming closer and closer to this "next step", so why not take it up a notch and close all loose ends with what he has to say? I know it wouldn't hurt. After all, we are the famous CodZ community.
  4. Welcome to the community! I found that the best way attracting him is watching the thunder storms. While most would say this is not the sure-fire way of attracting him, 7/10 he will spawn when the weather pattern differentiates. You can find him usually on Round 7 or Round 11 - but that's just by lots of trial and error on my part. That pattern may change for you. Also, try activating power on Round 1 to maximize his potential spawning. ;)
  5. I'm in for this. I might as well; this is our only chance in finding hope for the next step, and I'll be damned if I sat around to not accomplish anything while the community is hustling hard just to prove a new theory. I think that the most common permutation then would have to be the three turbine system. Why? Because when we think about it, we have a Maxis quote that refers to three points of an obtuse scalene system, a supposed whole-map clock that would generally have three points as well, and we can re-arrange faster with three people than two yet only a step down from four players.
  6. Welcome to the forum! I noticed that as well, but I assumed it was just there as some kind of background aesthetic...until now. Your idea does support how we can look at the map is one huge clock now given the dividend of time by a factor of three. This will make it a bit more difficult, of course, considering that the time many have been trying to go for is relatively 7:49 if I'm not mistaken [or close enough in regards to where the hands of the clocks are positioned]. But your theory should be kept in mind, and I will test that as well when I am able to. Kudos to you!
  7. If you have the Easter Egg already completed, having power on will do nothing. I believe that the only thing it will do is further the intensity of the energy flow throughout the pylon. This may differ according to what side you chose to do [in this instance, I use Richtofen as my prime example since his side was the most recent one accomplished]. It just feels as if the top of the Diner is meant for a camp-out place when you don't really feel like running so often and a good place to hide the best melee weapon in the game. The bird's eye view is very suspicious, as one could see all the way from the Tunnel to what looks like the lava pit near the exit of the Diner. The store closing times don't have too much effect, I'm afraid. Does it mean that it ought to be disregarded? Absolutely not. However, our most crucial suspicion when considering anything time-related are the clocks placed throughout the map. So far, it seems that we have to match the time on those close with the clock formation of the map. In this case, the obtuse scalene trichotomous system mentioned by Maxis via the streetlights.
  8. Welcome to the community officially! The red lights can often be regarded as orbs when not seen too clearly (not meaning vision-wise, just being able to define the two). Having the power on will not matter, because the red lights will still be on regardless. The orbs that are constantly mentioned on the pylon are the ones found at the very tip of the spire. This is generally found when one has completed either side of the Easter Egg, and can be seen as this: This is a screenshot that I took perhaps a few hours ago. Notice the little ball formation at the top. While it's not necessarily the orb everyone has been debating about, the "special orb" we seek will look awfully similar to this. I understand you do not have the pylon like this because you have not completed the EE. But as far as I'm concerned, the orbs naturally look more like sparks circulating around a given object rather than a still orb with just one color.
  9. Welcome back to the forums then lad! As usual, we're bustin' up many theories and things are only getting better and juicier. Glad that you could come back! :)
  10. The pylon in my game w/ Way was awfully bright and colorful. We constantly checked the laundromat doors, and I even experimented with the clock formations. Still, no NavCard is accepted yet.
  11. viewtopic.php?f=100&t=26010 The closet system we have so far in regards to how ranking works in zombies.
  12. My apologies - I wrote that in the middle of a game. What I'm trying to get across is that some of the clocks have a particular design. For instance, the two in the Depot have Sun rays around them, whereas the one in Diner has a Moon around it. I'm thinking ahead towards the idea of the Navcard's success and a transition in Day/Night.
  13. Call me crazy, but the clocks in certain locations have Night and Day symbols around them..
  14. The reason why this step was overlooked was because most people automatically assumed that setting Turbines down at Diner and Depot (including the two under the pylon) would have created that said triangle. Even more so, Maxis will say the quote about the obtuse scalene whether you did the steps in chronological order or not. Hell - he'll even state it before power is even on, so it threw off players even more. Either way it goes, i this is what leads to activating the acceptance of the Navcard, then so be it.
  15. I'd say it has to be the one at Bus Depot. If you place a Turbine down there, Maxis will speak up about the triangle formation. Judging by the picture of the map and how the triangle looks, I'd say that's the correct formation anyways from there.
  16. Also, do you remember after finishing the tower for the achievement, when you see orbs under the streetlights that protrude light beams towards the direction of the tower? If I recall, the ones that I find significant are the one immediately upon exiting Town and the Diner.
  17. I suppose in order to activate the "hands", one would have to create a portal under a streetlight.
  18. Could you post the clip with the siren sound?
  19. So would you say that getting the orb on top of the Tower is a result of having the correct Navcard, or vice versa?
  20. Hey hey - welcome to the zombie community! I'm glad you love the theories that we have thrown out into the public. Zombies is definitely a most interesting story, and many of the members here aim to fully complete the puzzle. I'm sure that as long as you stick around with us, you'll be able to share theories of your own. After all, it only takes one voice to spark millions. Gotta love those Aussies! I love you too already.
  21. Yes ; we had power on.
  22. I knifed the door for what seems to be like 10 minutes and the volume all the way up. Nothing was heard but the wind.
  23. I don't like the idea of high rounds playing a factor in this. Why? Well I actually have personal evidence of this. I call it rage quitting. What does that have to do with ranking up? Well, Prodigy said that rounds will make some kind of factor in the system. As much as I'd love to support the claim, I'm afraid I can't. Y'see, I reached my Shotties while playing tons, and tons of Survival. I'm already aware that a person dropping from your game results in the rounds not being saved. There's evidence 1. Now when I used to play Survival matches, I always had at least two people per game leaving simply because they died often, or they just really sucked that game. Once the game had officially been finished, I would notice an average of Rounds 30-40. But because of those two players leaving before Round 15 or so, I only gained the statistics for reaching up in the high rounds yet only had a recorded Round Below 15 where the players left. Evidence 2. This made me realize that I could manipulate how well my game went based on the number of people in my game. Ever since I discovered that my stats would be recorded regardless how many people were left in the game, I used rage quitting to my advantage. Every Survival game I played, I would make everyone on the team rage quit before Round 10. Henceforth, I had the whole game to myself and would average anywhere from 1k - 3k per game given on my luck with weapons (Ray Gun is MUST in Farm). Sure, I would never see my rounds up in the leaderboards, but my stats would shoot through the roof because of my amazing gameplay and there you go - earned my Shotguns. Evidence 3. Concluding this, high rounds only make up in ranking up if your kills, downs and headshots are of superb value. If you think about it, the general zombie slayer will earn higher statistics in higher rounds than having a perfect game in lower rounds. It's kinda like saying if you went to an Ivy League college, then you're smart. Well, no sh!t that's true. I think we just happened to overlook that bridge in my opinion. :)
  24. I feel you. Even when we know that K/D is apparently the best system that we can come up with (which also works might I add), I'm sure there are still a few other minor factors that still need to be explained. I remember once when people assumed that having those "perma-perks" were a factor in ranking up. There's got to be some method of how other stats besides kills and downs play into the system, but there's nothing truly coming to mind other than allowing the player to obtain skills. When you think about it, here's how it is detailed when you justify each stat to a particular instance: Kills > Rank Bullets Fired > ? Downs > Rank Revives > Skill (Quick-Revive) Grenade Kills > ?/Skill ("PHD Flopper") Headshots > Skill (Head-splosion) Deaths > ? Gibs > ? Perks Drank > ? Doors Opened > ? Accuracy > ? Distance Traveled > ?/Skill ("Auto-Stamin Up) I suppose the ones labeled with ?'s could be the remaining factors is leveling up. If we were to go by that standard, you'd have to be God mode in those statistics to make up for a low K/D ratio.
  25. Considering that makes 5 buildables and only four players, you can't. Hoarding equipment isn't possible in that manner, so either have all the original buildables or take out the Turbine for the Jet Gun.
