  1. Could you get a snapshot of it for us? I'm not sure if you're mistaking it for the electric sparks spurting out of the tower as a result of the EE.
  2. Actually, if you're under the spire the pieces will collapse all right where you broke it. I tested this numerous times when attempting the Richtofen EE, and the pieces were scrambled into the corner. Perhaps it was because I overheated the obelisk like intended, or it was due to the game assuming that the area under the spire was big enough to contain all the bits of pieces.
  3. It's the energy sent from the Tower to the Aether to power Richtofen. It does it after you complete his side of the Easter Egg.
  4. I highly doubt it can open anything, really. The jet engine sucks all and anything into its path, which forces it to overheat very quickly. Considering this, unless there is a magic switch somewhere that needs to be sucked in to be opened, I'm calling it nothing more than a simple rumor. If you have details as to where exactly to attempt this, however, it certainly is worth a try in the least bit.
  5. Actually, I just noticed it when playing a game on my original account. I can't provide a clip of what I experienced, but here's how the scenario played out: In mid-round during a public match with three randoms, and we're all bunched close together in town. One guy on the team had kept downing himself over the pool of lava in the middle trying to escape across, so I would hop over and use my quick-revive ability. One instance, I was training in the bar and suddenly I heard some kind of zap+wind-down sound just like the OP mentioned. Sure enough, I go to revive that said teammate a few minutes later and I don't have my QR ability anymore. I really want to say it has something to do with your stats...but considering I did not go down (until the end of the game) and I had around 11 revives, it can't possibly be it.
  6. No no, you're not crazy! While the song does fit in very nicely, I highly doubt they based Tranzit off of it. From how Treyarch has done it in the past, they make a map and enhance the storyline before implementing a soundtrack suitable for both game playing and direct story telling. What they were already planning to do was add A7X's Carry On (hell - even Sirius Octane Radio kept stating how it was going to be exclusive to BO:II Zombies Mode). Something happened, and a last minute decision quickly switched out A7X to Kevin Sherwood's Carrion. I really don't believe that they could base a whole game especially to just one song - it would most likely be the other way around.
  7. Already been said and done. Nothing happens.
  8. In addition to what you said Tac, I must retract my statement earlier about something I just realized: Avogadro is NOT a skeleton. Well, model-like yes, however, if we look closely, he has no bones. Instead, it looks like veins or arteries or more than likely the nervous system. The nerves stand out all across his body, glowing from electrons that most likely happened as a result from genetic engineering. You can clearly see his cranium, rather than a skull. This further makes me believe the nervous system is what's showing. Also keep in mind his animations. - He can fly around in a shocked orb 3x smaller than his natural size. - He can spawn wherever he pleases straight down from the sky. - After you punch him consecutively, he spins round and round like a tire and jets straight back up to the sky. When I think of all the zombie bosses we have ever encountered, none of which had such a dramatic entrance and exit. It seems that he cannot be killed, even if you harness his energy inside an EMP (in which he respawns later on in the game again).
  9. Waffles, thank you for those images. I can see the the CCCP logo on the crates, but as far as I'm concerned, no Russian writing. One of the crates has what looks like a "HANDLE SIDE UP" arrow with the phrase "BEPX". I'm going to assume it means that the crate must be facing up as there is something fragile inside...something that should be careful when being handled (Denizen carriage anyone?).
  10. Order does not matter; Carrion is the only song that will play. Usually when I activate Teddy Bears, I do so by Depot > Town > Farm. If not, then I go Depot > Farm > Town. I have also had randoms activate them and I'd activate one myself usually near the Depot last or Town last.
  11. This is merely a graphics glitch. Someone had posted a video on this and claimed that this was part of the EE, yet if you break the window, it disappears. It doesn't appear in any other window, same if you look around the window on the outside. Most likely just lighting glitch that was made to reflect light.
  12. Just as I had always thought, he looks like a walking skeleton. But I know this may not be the case. Whenever I think about a different view on how he looks, I can't help but think of cartoons. Y'know, when somebody is shocked with such voltage that you can see the bones in their body like some kind of x-ray?
  13. It was widely considered when BO:II came out, but there were some theories that quickly debunked it. The Nova crawlers are said to be the Vril-ya, an ancient and powerful group that seemed to originate from Agartha. In Shangri-La, you can see the remnants of them (well, more so as zombies). Notice how the pants they wear are almost exact to the ripped pants you see on the Nova Crawlers. Plus the crawlers don't have eyes or a tail. But good attention to detail mate!
  14. I have no clue if it's relevant, but there's the power symbol inside the vault in Town. It's just a green square with a lightning bolt going through it. The BradyGames Strategy Guide seems to think there may be something. The door leads to the PaP room. You can access it by leaving a Turbine in front of the vault door right underneath the Ak74u (you need to turn around as it is literally right behind you when you drop down).
  15. I...I'm pretty sure you cannot jump whole maps via a small in-game pathway. But good guess nonetheless. Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
  16. But hey - one thing's for certain now. These Denizens aren't natural creatures that were just exposed to radioactive elements and turned freakish like that. The more I read your posts Tac, the more it kicks in that maybe these little suckers are something that none of us can yet identify. But until we figure out how the hell these things were created and for what purpose (because let's face it - those are some screwed up creations then), I'm sticking by with monkeys still. Maybe it's a fusion of monkeys and humans, though that would be the same as combining white and wheat bread together. This talk of Denizens got much deeper than I expected.
  17. I'm a little lost about the obtuse portion of it. At most, a triangle can only have 1 obtuse angle (this is only true with a scalene triangle). Now given the mpa BradyGames has presented is definitely not to scale, however, only one obtuse angle can still be present at most. In your case C4, you created an angle once you put yours down. I know nowhere in Maxis' quotes did it say anything about a triangle besides the fact a scalene is involved. The image I edited up above is a close account of the formation in which the Turbines would have set up. I'm assuming the shape and orientation of the spire creates the two opportunities for more than one obtuse angle.
  18. Okay, then I guess I can rule out the 115 missile idea for now (since you brought up Maxis lessening the magnitude of Richtofen's plan). There would still have to be a reason why 115 is evident in the zombies at least; did it really spread world-wide that quickly? The only known zombies close to Hanford would be Nuketown and NML. Genetically modified? I can buy that. If they were, however, would that mean that...that these experiments were done on humans? You state that they have rather human-like heads, but the idea of the model originally existing as a human does not comply with the fact that they have tails. I suggested that they were infested with 115 was due to their strange ability to create portals. Had 115 been dispersed among the Earth, the idea of a portal being created as I stated several posts ago could have been plausible. Plus 115 does not exactly render any creature a zombie. Just look at our original crew; they were pretty much successful experiments w/ it, and the teleporters running off of the same element did not turn them into zombies as the first experiment at Der Reise had. But I guess if we claim that these Denizens were not created by 115, what exactly are they? I still say monkeys because of the monkey cages in the PaP room, and they can resemble Denizens if they have been mutated enough.
  19. How to contain something has feisty as Avogadro, I can't think as to how. I didn't say they were the same containers or that those specific containers held Denizens; I'm saying the method in which they were used to hold/contain something could have been similar to the Denizens. We see barrels in the PaP room (as well as crates), so it might have been possible to transport them from one area to another in those barrels. I know the ones in Kino are not the same ones in Green Run, nor are the beings inside Kino's containers related to Denizens.
  20. 1) We all feel that way. The EE is definitely unfinished, and an Achievement does not justify an ending whatsoever. 2) There's been a lot of speculation that the church is somehow involved. Someone earlier had posted that nothing is inside the church (besides the barrier). But when Maxis had mentioned something about another spire, the only other place many thought of was the church. As far as I know, there's nothing more to it at the moment than being a detailed structure for decoration. 3) I thought the same! Well, not physically, but it's been said that he can only communicate via electronics. Perhaps he is still in the computer mainframe in Griffon Station on Moon. Either way, he is still alive in that spiritual aspect. 4) Just because the two happened at the same time does not mean it takes place in the 60's. For all we know, it could have occurred in the 80's, or even later! 5) I always thought the axe just meant someone was living in the cabin. What is strange is that throughout this whole map, that is the only house reference that has not been obliterated (yet strangely resembles the huts in Shi No Numa). I'll investigate the cabin and surrounding area more now that you mentioned it.
  21. I will!...once I actually get randoms to listen to me, haha. I'll be lucky if they don't leave the PaP room after telling them to stay put. But back on queue, the idea of monkeys transforming into Denizens in that particular room is not a far fetched one. Light does subdue the Denizens and does turn them into passive little creatures. In this scenario, I'll agree with you about power accidentally going out and them wrecking havoc among the scientists...for now. The place looks really beat up, blood stains covering the walls, debris on the floor. The cages don't look too tarnished (aside the blood stains behind them), so it's safe to say the possibility of them being transported to a new area is quite clear. EMP shutting off all the power...very nice! That may explain how the power switch disassembled; either via Denizen or the shock output caused a short-circuit. This is why I need Nuketown Zombies so I can reference to it [we are aware some events/details in NT link to Green Run]. But what I can't wrap my head around is that if power was originally on, how did Avogadro get inside the generator if it were to be closed once again? Perhaps a scientist (or whomever was in the facility) became trapped in there to escape the Denizens. Once the EMP went off, it trapped the poor guy in there...that is, until someone turned on the power. Electrical shock happens, and voila - Avogadro! I have no damn clue about Avogadro, I'm just trying to see how the power bunker relates to Denizens. :| EDIT: After watching a video, I noticed the barrels that are similar to the containers in Kino. I know they are not the same, but suppose Denizens were transported safely via those containers?
  22. Last I recalled, you can access PaP with nothing but Turbines. One stationed near the power door, one to open the metal door where you can find the switch, and one to power the PaP once it has been built. You don't need power to be turned on and/or Avogadro to escape.
  23. The monkeys were probably being experimented on for the same reason all test subjects exposed to 115: to further the procedure of enhancing the human ability to supernatural state. I can't verify this claim, but why else would there be monkey cages in the PaP room? Monkeys are the best test subjects for experimentation when using human experimentation is rather risky (especially in the United States). Perhaps after the failed experiments in Five, HAARP could have also been utilized to somehow control the monkeys containing 115. Like I said, this is a high-up-in-the-sky theory, so I can be absolutely wrong in so many ways. Those two research facilities must be related. They are the only lab-oriented areas throughout the whole map, use practically the same textures and structural designs, and let's not forget how powering the door in the power station opens up the PaP room. Even if all else fails, that link of opening a certain door via powering another display how related they are. The connection as to why they would be related minus entry points, I'm not too enlightened on. The cages in PaP make us presume that monkeys were once stored there (not proven experimented in the same are however). The only problem I see is that it doesn't look like monkeys can be experimented in the power bunker because the only relevant objects there are the computer, power grid, power building (where the semi has crashed into) and the power generator. By the way, we still need to figure out how Avogadro got into that generator...but on topic to the connection. These two facilities are obviously connected to one another. Maybe there is a passageway linked (not in-game, just theoretically) between the power facility and PaP...?
  24. Just checked, and nothing happened at/near the church. Besides, the front door is barricaded with debris that seems very unlikely to be removed anytime soon. The door in the TV audio sounds like a heavy electrical sliding door (or close to it). Is there another door in the map that has the power symbol on it? I can only think of the room below the Ak74. Why does powering that door open up the one to PaP? Considering the distance between Power and Town, it's way too far to be linked by the same door. Of course it can simply be transmitted electricity via wires of some sort to open the door. But honestly, that's the only electrical I have yet to see open.
  25. I'd be willing to put all my money in the bank into this theory. They do appear to have tails (regardless if they're short or not), and certainly sound like a monkey. Every time I see the cages, I automatically think back to BO in both Five and the research lab in Campaign (where you play as Mason killing Steiner/Hudson attempting to stop Mason). These cages had monkeys as well, and I'd be damned if they were somehow linked together [honestly I have better faith in the Five research lab, seeing as Five is also based in America unlike the other maps excluding NML]. Again, this also makes clear sense to me. They appear not only in the forest areas, but darker areas like the cornfields, tunnel, and bridge. Hanford, Washington is mainly an agricultural community. Around 1943, the area depopulated to form what was known as the Hanford Site, which was a key factor in the Manhattan Project. It was a nuclear production facility that actually had tested plutonium for the first nuclear bomb that would soon be used over Nagasaki. All this information is already under a different thread that I can't seem to find. But moving onto the point I'm driving across...the atmosphere in which Hanford is located in is a perfect choice of settlement for the monkeys. The exposed plutonium plus whatever radioactive elements (possibly including 115 from the missiles) supports your claim. Animal instinct is also to survive, so these monkeys are well aware of the damages caused by radiation and seem to prefer avoiding the surface unless feeling endangered [in this case, our crew]. You're spot on. The lights may be "harmful" to them for a good reason. Like you said, their eyes have adapted to the darkness and cannot withstand the amount of light. Notice how if you go under the a streetlight that is not lit, the Denizens will not create a portal. Yet once the light shines on, they scramble to burrow themselves underground. This remains true when you enter specific areas with enough light surrounding it (i.e. Bus Stops). Any creature that has adapted to the darkness underground (both realistic and fictional) has portrayed characteristics of "fearing" the light from the surface if it too much exposure for them to handle. Even the human eye is keen to this detail. Stay in a dark room for too long and go outside where the Sun is shining brightly. Your eyes will begin to squint and you pretty much are blinded for a couple of minutes. As for the underground system...I have no idea whatsoever. The radioactive abilities of 115 still remain fully unclear, however, is known to be used a fuel source for teleporters. We have seen, experimented, and proven this since WaW. If a ballistic missile filled with 115 crashes into the Earth, it spreads the radioactivity all across the land. These radioactive elements (even in ground) still disperse throughout the Earth. I guess it's safe to theorize that 115 is underground. Even with that assertion, our crew can easily jump into a teleporter on the surface. I have a feeling that the Denizen digs down quicker and deeper than usual, thus releasing 115 to be exposed out into the hole they just made. As a result, a portal is made. Think of digging through wet sand on the beach where the tide closes. If you dig deep enough, you can actually witness water somehow exposing itself in the hole (well, at least when I dug in the sand as a kid). But that would have to mean an ass-load of 115 to make a teleporter. Oh wait, we can do it. Generated light from the given streetlight + massive exposure of 115 both underground and in air due to missiles infused with them + space for 115 to be extracted (hole) = portal. Of course, this idea came completely out of my ass, so I could be as far as -100% correct. But an idea is an idea.
