Wind Tunnel also works in this way. It helps too that the giant robot will step along the entrance giving you ample time to fix yourself up. Not to mention, easy grabs for the Zombie Shield/Maxis Drone and Juggernog near by. It's a tad tougher though because the pathway down to the Crazy Place portal is so linear and short; however, there's only one spawn down there so it's not difficult to manage at times. Good stuff, friendo. I will definitely try this one out and see how it compares with all the other tunnels. :)

Pretty much. That is, if you've been earning more than 5 downs before Round 20 or so. I still think that K/D would be a factor in it just because it involves downs. You can't hit high rounds if you don't earn enough kills, yet going down is still an adverse effect on both ratios. In that case, I might as well play to Round 50 every game on Farm Survival. Now we wait to see the exact formula for reaching particular ranks. -

You could just remove perks like Phd Flopper and Quick Revive from the machine, given that it would be implemented. That only leaves average perks like Mule Kick, Electric Cherry, Deadshot, etc etc. It's the same style in which Treyarch released Mule Kick to every map in Black Ops. It didn't hurt anything, even Nacht der Untoten. I wouldn't find it hard to modify the Wunderfizz. -

I believe it pushes the real world events, but isn't a direct cause towards them happening. More than often, the real world events are catalysts for what occurs in Zombies. In the perspective of Origins, I would say that the Germans conducting research in Northern France and discovering Element 115 would have sparked future (World War II) experimentation and research. This would explain the further studies of Agartha, the Vril-ya, using mythology and other German-Nazi conspiracies to fuel the German power. In a way, you could see a fairly solid line connecting the two instances. I am not too certain about Cuba other than FIVE being a result of the event.

Now that you mention it, could it just be a misplaced quote? Recall that you couldn't purchase a Semtex near the church. It could very well be that it's a quote which doesn't belong.

I came primarily for the story. Had it not been for that, I wouldn't be here nor would I truly even glance so much at what the new maps meant. You could even say that I am a sucker for a damn good storyline - and so far, Zombies is #1 on my list. It's amazing how everyone can come together - like a real life Group 935 - and perform research an levels which you don't usually see in any other game. To us, Zombies isn't a game; it's a lifestyle. -

We never had an issue with this in private matches for BO1. Why fix something that's not broken? Well they changed the setup for lobbies in BO:II so we're forced to use different strategies on how to get an X-player match. Yeah it's Treyarch's fault for removing a perfect system, but we have no other choice unless they make a big patch for it. -

Mess around with your search settings to get what you need. If it's set on the normal option, then it will take either connection and try to pair you in a lobby so you can get a game in. Making your NAT strict also gives you the chance to do 2 or 3 player games (given that you're in a party). -

The Wunderfizz works in an open slot. So if you have 2 perks via perk machines, you can still get 2 from the Wunderfizz machine. If you obtain a free perk slot from the golden dirt mounds, you can grab another perk from the Wunderfizz machine.

Always get Double Tap II last. If you grab it while you have four perks, it counts as your fifth and the first free perk slot you obtain will not work because that fifth slot was taken by DTII. I find that Mule Kick and Electric Cherry are pretty useful to have. Phd Flopper is only useful if you're reliant on Grenades or the Ray Gun (trust me - you won't be diving too much in Origins).

Not allowing anyone to down is a challenge right there, haha. I would assume that someone can get lucky with the Zombie Blood in spawn at that point, but it further risks the other two (or three) players. This is going to be one interesting challenge.

Have it as a consensus perhaps? Say that someone does something that irks you; if you are the host, you can go into the Pause menu and select the option "Boot Player". Everyone could get some kind of notification that there was a boot request. If at least two other people agree, then that person is booted. Of course, this shouldn't be a big problem if the rounds are still tracked as Jay had said.

This. Sure there are several good locations to have it depending on where you'd like to hold out in, the Wind Tunnel is next to Juggernog and is generally also home to the Gramophone given that everyone has their Staff built already. Even if you are nowhere near this location at the time you go down w/o a Shield, it's extremely helpful to have everything bundled in the same area if you do go there. I just played a game where one person got the Staff of Fire despite me doing all the hard work (everyone else had not built their staves yet). The next match I had with that person, I grabbed the Fire element before just about any Staff parts were collected. Guessed who rage quitted? :P

Definitely loving this thread. It's absolutely horrific to see how many failures there were with the monkey subjects prior to Ham. Of course that was a given considering that NASA was experimenting on a first-time basis for a good while but it still highlights what inconsistencies were being made not only on what we knew about space, but how much testing went into the monkeys before and after the flights. This is for sure getting bookmarked for future reference even if it's historical context and research. Well done, and I hope to see more of these in the upcoming months friendo. :) -
The game either glitched and won't allow you to activate the generator for some reason or it's because the generator is already active (for some reason) but the game is treating it slightly as if it's not.

I would agree about it being somewhere originating in Northern Africa, unless it just happens to be a group of similar cultures combining together for the sheer greatness of these ancient four.

It depends what you have at your disposal (traps, weapons, etc.), what obstacles you have to go through over a period of time (bosses) and your ability to hold out under pressure. A match in Ascension is far different than a match in Kino der Toten. I would advise going 100 on a map that offers some form of "infinite usage" without having to recycle. Examples of this may be: - Electric traps (Der Riese, Kino der Toten, FIVE) - System Traps (ex. acid trap in Mob of the Dead or fire trap in Kino der Toten/Ascension) - Buildable traps (Trample Steams in Black Ops 2) - Weapons such as the Thundergun, Shrink Gun, Sliquifier, Wunderwaffe, Elemental Staves I find that after, say, Round 60-ish, weapons become way too weak unless you have any of the weapons listed above. Even then, you're bound to run out of ammo at some point with no way of obtaining a Max Ammo. That's where traps - given that you're on a map with them - will become your main source of killing. Because you're focused on training hordes into these traps, a simple round in the 70's can take as long as 15-25 minutes. It seems that for every 5 rounds you accomplish beyond 60, the number of minutes it might take 5 additional minutes per round. You'll even end up taking a complete hour somewhere in the high 80's/low 90's. Whatever map you decide to play on may vary in times. What I do know, however, is that you will not reach 100+ in one day on a typical map. Maybe in Ascension, if you're lucky.

Nacht der Untoten - The smallest, yet most difficult map to date considering that it was also the first. I loved how raw it was; just you, your guns, and some undead Nazis. Can you really get any better than that? Verruckt - The horror feel to it and very confined hallways really got me into this map. Did I mention how many times I must've dropped my controller from sheer scares like turning around the corner to come face-to-face with a screaming zombie? Shi No Numa - It is so vast and open with terrain going against you...that right there was a challenge. I loved the traps to death and always blew my money on them whenever I could. Der Riese - The catwalk, Pack-a-Punch machine, teleporters, WUNDERWAFFE WUNDERWAFFE WUNDERWAFFE. Kino der Toten - There is something about destroyed theatres that garners my attention. Also given the fact that we could teleporter hop in a matter of minutes only to Pack-a-Punch whatever was in your arsenal at the top of the projection room. Nothing spells fun more than unloading everything you had down below. FIVE - I love playing as JFK and Castro. Enough said. Ascension - With a map as vast as this one and Phd Flopper, it's hard not to love it. The Monkey Round also reeled me in. Free perks galore? Don't mind if I do! Call of the Dead - I love maps that remind me of winter. Beautiful Wonder Weapon selection, different ways to navigate across the map, George Romero is a zombie? Yes, yes, yes! Also, I have a secret love attraction to Danny Trejo. Shangri-la - In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight~ Moon One of the toughest maps to date, yet brings you so many utilities, weapons, and different ways to kill zombies. My all-time favorite map. Modes Tranzit - It was larger than I would have ever imagined. That being said, however, I really love going on top of the bus. Best joyride ever. Nuketown - Considering that Nuketown was my favorite MP map, it's no surprise why I'd love this rendition of it. Die Rise - Vertical structures are always fun obstacles, even without Phd Flopper! There was something about Trample Steams that made the game 10x more fun. Mob of the Dead - A favorite prison, a favorite era of characters, and the Tommy Gun. Ohhhhh yes indeed. Buried - Fun for the whole family! There's so much stuff to do with the Big Guy, and it's automatically an easy map to hit high rounds with even the randoms. Also, I can fly with the Paralyzer...weeeeeeee! Origins - I can become a gun-wielding Wizard as giant mechanized robots, mini-robotic soldiers, and the undead chase me down as I call forth the elements to my advantage with my trusty sidekick Maxis. My body is ready. Mmmmm...nostalgia tastes oh so delicious. -
About the fourth wall quote: it's partially breaking the fourth wall because the comment is being made upon hitting an invisible barrier meant to prevent the player from going beyond a specific boundary. That game mechanic is in every game you ever play; it's just that our characters mention it. Some answers to some of these questions: 1) The towers were initially there, but they weren't classified as towers. Once the N4 went to those locations, they modified them according to either side (Maxis/Richtofen) so they could become energized towers. 2) Nobody knows. That's still a mystery to this day. 3) Nobody knows. That's still a mystery to this day. 4) There are a few theories out there explaining how the soul transfer could have happened, but there is nothing concrete at this point. 5) Simple. The O4 in Origins are not the same O4 in the latter maps. Well, they are in terms of them being alive but the Origins that we play in doesn't actually happen. We're talking about 1918, with the possibility of everyone being in their 20's/30's. Now when we look in the 40's, that's about 20-30 more years added to their age. It's not too hard to see the O4 that we're so used to in their mid-40's. 6) Nobody knows. That's still a mystery to this day. (But there is an interesting theory by Alpha that she may not actually be the Samantha we've come to know.) 7) It relates to answer 5. Maxis never actually dies; his brain still lives on even if you assume Origins did happen. The Maxis from WWII and beyond is the Maxis we've closely inspected. He only dies one true death - at Griffin Station. 8) Nobody knows. That's still a mystery to this day. 9) Nobody knows. That's still a mystery to this day. 10) It's in its semi-purest form, meaning it has more energy than the 115 meteorites/rocks that we might see during WaW going onward to future locations. You could probably even say that as the 115 decays, it goes from blue to orange. 11) In a way, yes - more importantly, an entryway to Agartha a.k.a. Middle Earth.

This is why I try to coordinate ahead of time with what player wants what staff. If nobody is talking/using their mics, then I assume it's all fair game. Before I even start grabbing any parts (and paying close attention to who's obtained what parts), I'll grab the element that has fewer staff parts obtained. For instance, I will grab the Wind element if there aren't any parts collected for it. But if the Fire Staff parts are pretty much maxed out, I leave it to the others to complete it. Or if I end up getting my original staff stolen by greedy players, I let them suffer with it. If for some reason they "accidentally" bleed out, I'll happily take back my staff. Rage quitting generally follows right after.

About 30 per chest. You have to be very careful, since the giants can reset the count back to 0 and you must kill near the chest or the souls won't be captured. I don't exactly think nukes count either. Sometimes it seems like it require more souls because if you're trying to grab the One Inch Fists prior to Round 10, it feels like forever unless everyone is in the same area.
