  1. We are not affiliated with Treyarch; however, we have very close ties with them and we are definitely under their scope. carbonfibah was a regular Founder/Administrator who created CoDz as a fan-forum until he joined Treyarch later down the line. He relinquished his power over to the next Administrators. We don't exactly have Jimmy Z or his peeps rolling in here partaking in our discussions, but they are very well aware of what we say, post, and discuss.
  2. The only way to get yourself out of this situation is to shoot in the location where the ghost may be. The problem I always have is having the ghost spawn inside the stairs near the back gardens of the mansion. I could only see her head so I end up shooting, and I get the kill/perk drop. I am not certain if this will work, but try recycling the Time Bomb and re-doing it so they can spawn again differently.
  3. Consider them both cannon, since you technically are faced with two roads. One of them being Maxis in power and now he will search for Samantha, the other Richtofen taking full control and being able to practically manipulate anything he chooses to. If you are thinking about which one will we see more of an effect on in the next map, I wouldn't stray to one side too heavily. We get the O[4] next (supposedly) and will encounter the Samantha/Richtofen combo again. This answers the question of where she and the others are. Should the ending of Buried really impact what happens next, I would say that Maxis is the likely side to remain truly cannon in regards to the Side Missions.
  4. This. The gun tallies how much energy is used for however long you hold down the trigger. You can yield a larger effect with 5 bursts than you would if you held it down for five seconds. When the Paralyzer is Pack-a-Punched, the damage is greatly increased so there's almost a 1/2 split. If not, you can just use it for 2-3 seconds and shoot (or the opposite).
  5. I love all of them. Maybe I'm just a sucker for bosses, but I absolutely enjoy having them even if they tend to be a pain in the ass. Calling out the ones that tick me off is like asking whether I like Zombies or I like pizza...hmmm. - The Cosmonaut is fun to toy around with but he is an absolute distraction at times. One moment you're walking through the door and the next thing you know, you've lost a perk and you're somewhere far away from your original waypoint. - I love George Romero. He may make zombies 200x faster and mobility lessened, but hey - free points and a special reward for taking him down. - Phasing Nova Crawlers are at the far bottom of my list. I love the concept, but sometimes they can phase right in front of you and become the reason why you are down. It's great that you can avoid them though. At the same time, you're taking a rather large risk while inside the moon base in those close-knit areas.
  6. Buried is easy for all the right reason. No more training large circles, yet holding out in certain areas makes the job 20x easier. The weapons are destined to take you through the high rounds. Vulture-Aid ensures that you keep going even when you think you have nothing left to kill with. Buildables all activated at the same time equals monumental fun. Sure, it's so easy that you might as well crown it the easiest thing since Ascension. But let's face it - there are more technical ways you can hit the high rounds that doesn't involve running around like a headless chicken. (Also, I'mma let you finish but Moon was and still is the best map of all time.)
  7. If you keep a Trample Steam near either of the windows, or right beside the alter. Having some kind of buildable down the middle path will only last you a short while before it gives out. I'd rather use the Subsurface Resonator there and my Head Chopper somewhere off to the side. It may not kill every zombie, but it sure slows them down.
  8. A nice fake, but there are just way too many design errors with it that Treyarch would never let out. It seems like every DLC that is yet to be dropped, someone uploads a scapegoat design. It gets better and better over time.
  9. Probably acts to that of a Kap then. Strange, the schematic for it shows pure mechanization and nothing else of any Wonder Weapon-styled elements. This is probably just a new gun that we may toy around with while killing some zombies. I have a feeling that the scope may be very useful in some cases.
  10. Seems like a momentary obstacle which may give us some small insight on what Samuel is capable of. The origin of the sound is still up in the air. Were those moans of the souls trapped within the zombies, or where they something else? That trigger was just left out entirely in Resolution 1295.
  11. Question: are there traces of other sodas in or near the candy shop other than booze? Because this is actually a pretty awesome find.
  12. What is your K/D ratio at this point, and what are your other stats? Sometimes you have to balance out those stats so one is not overpowering the other. Usually you should see a new change after 15,000 kills. I know that the system may take a while to update the ranks.
  13. Welcome to the community, friendo! We'll get you from noob forum poster to expert zombie forum poster (see, now THAT's a promotion). Finally, someone who also has Call of the Dead on the top of their list! You and I will get along very, very well. Enjoy your stay, and don't be afraid to post a lot. I promise we don't bite...that hard.
  14. I like this. Like, a lot. Simple and straight to the point. It's easy to see how there are different "categories" to all these letters. One points to something of UFOs, one points to mechanical weapons/people (robots), and another flat out places our feet into Paris. I'm very intrigued on how the mechanization process will go down. Is it actual robots, or are we dealing with something of which we have never encountered nor even heard of in this story before? +1, friendo. :)
  15. It all reminds me of Bioshock for some reason. This is a nice discovery, friendo! Thinking of such adaptions as a possibility in this new map would be...well, fun! Who wouldn't want to mess around with this mechanical giants?
  16. Welcome to the community, friendo! You chose the right place to get yourself nestled in. Trust me when I say that you'll make tons of great friends here. Enjoy your stay! :)
  17. Weapons are my forte. You can't exactly live long enough if you only buy perks, and equipment can only last for so long. A good weapon and some concentration will take you a long way to the point where you may not even need Juggernog even in the late 20's.
  18. All analogies aside, it's just a simple take-over of object. If you side with Maxis, then Maxis is within Samantha's body. If you side with Richtofen, Richtofen remains inside of her body. (On a side note, how more dramatic can you get than looking for your own daughter while in her shell of a body?)
  19. Everyone doesn't want a prequel. But the date may not infer such a thing. In fact, it may just as well be a clue for what kind of Side Mission we'll encounter by this piece of historical text.
  20. Apparently from what these posts are referring to, there are green lights on the teleporter that light up. It seems as if they are assuming that you can make all of them light up and something will happen as a result. But I wouldn't really consider it to be true; this map has been out since Black Ops was first released and nothing new has come out of it. Not that there won't be, but green lights on the MTD don't seem to have any relation to anything.
  21. It's probably just Treyarch finding a reason to force people in working together so the Side Missions can be completed fully. I wish they had taken into consideration what Call of the Dead and Moon were capable of accomplishing. A step or two out of the equation wouldn't really hurt anyone. Is hitting a few bells/going forward in time to retrieve an item from your dead body or hitting moving targets such an implication to the story? No.
  22. I'm bookmarking this for reference. This is just bloody brilliant and perfect-o. Brains galore to you, friendo.
  23. Looks like I'll get ready to call my sick days. ;)
  24. I don't see where we get 191X from. All that is noticeable is the month and first two digits of the year. That means it's still 19XX, unless my eyesight is really that bad. :P
  25. Sometimes, the zombies will not register the windows being boarded up. I've encountered this several times when the map was first released.
