For those who have completed the Side Mission, please share your thoughts about it. This was a rather short, yet interesting little mission which really does take some puzzle solving skills. For those who have not completed it yet, what are you seeking to solve? Are you stuck on a particular area where you cannot access a particular step? Here is how to complete the Achievement (credit to our awesome Podcast der Toten Team). To grab the Warden keys in the main cell hallways (after spawn, taking the door near the M14), go into Afterlife mode and look for a portal in the top area of the catwalk. Jump - or levitate - into the portal. Then, you should see a circuit board. Fry it with your electric powers, and the key will lower itself for you to obtain. There are essentially five locations for the Icarus parts: Once you have obtained all the parts, access the roof via Infirmary. Note that in order to open the door, you must go into Afterlife mode, find one of the cells within the infirmary, and jump onto the roof following the arrows - a power box will await you at the top. Stand near the plane and build your parts. Once all five parts are added, stand behind the ramp/plane. Once one person jumps on, have the next person follow, so on and so forth. There is a time limit, so be sure to get everyone on asap. Once everyone is on, you will be sent into the air. Achievement get.

Let the adventures begin. Good luck to all who accept this journey to unravel several mysteries.

http://www.pcgamesupply.com/buygames/Xb ... QgodXyAA3g I'm assuming that this would be the easiest way. From what I can tell, there are different point amounts per region. For instance, the US buys 1600 MSP points for only $19.99 whereas the EU region buys 1200 points for $21.99. There is a slight change in both the price and points so that you technically can't cheat the system. Obviously there may be a very, very minuscule difference but I'm not very good at differentiating currency. :P

Hopefully, we'll bring a new member to the Podcast der Toten team who is from Europe so we have an international crew. That way, everyone can fully reap the rewards. I forget again, but why wouldn't MSP codes be correctly identified with European codes? Is it just structured differently?

"Lost connection to host" help please!
InfestLithium replied to NeedaLittleRevive's topic in General Zombies Discussion
As Ryan had said, Black Ops 2 utilizes a new feature where it will try and migrate hosts if possible. I usually had this happen when playing on Farm Survival before the first DLC dropped. Now, I get it about 40% of the time if I'm in a full game. It may have something to do with your internet, or it may just be the system failing to successfully migrate the host. If that's the case, there really isn't anything you can do to avoid it other than having a team of friends play in a Public Lobby with you. Even if you're the host, there will always be a slim chance that the server may kick you out because of someone else's connection. -
Care to elaborate how they are a fail? These are times based on the usual drop times from our last DLC package, with an hour to save just in case.
-
Hm, it could very well be that. The cycle must repeat itself, and we already know that our crew beings their first revolution of the cycle prior to us even fully beginning the game.
-
This is some juicy information, friendo! I knew we'd have yet another allusion to go by, but at least we have a very direct story to compare the mode to. Judging by how you presented the legend and Achievement, it seems that we (the characters) will meet our fate upon leaving the island. In the legend, Icarus' demise comes from disobeying his father's orders by getting closer to the Sun. I wonder in what way the new crew could do the same; perhaps by flying to high into the air as they crash somewhere? They have to stop at some point since the cycle must be repeated (electric chairs?).
-
I noticed that as well. It's really strange, and one of the characters even makes a comment about how the atmosphere changed so suddenly. "Something weird's going on here." The whole prison itself changed in a matter of seconds, with zobies teeming all over the place. It could actually be a form a time displacement, but it's nothing like we've seen before. The time setting was a little too dramatic...

Just a side note: Al is referring to our character Arthur "The Weasel" Arlington. He is one of the four players in Mob of the Dead.

hYxIMxZzqLI Fixed for compatible viewing. Kudos to Nemesis for sharing the video! Interesting things found in this. [*:2di9lk2s] Al has known his inmate "friends" for quite a while now, but still has to get them to follow his lead since they do not know of the plan like he does. [*:2di9lk2s] He has been planning this out for some time. The fact that he mentions how the part locations and materials are only knowledgeable to him prove this further. [*:2di9lk2s] Note the Icarus reference. [*:2di9lk2s] Who is The Editor? Did we see nasty little comments on the plans? Maybe it was the cipher which hides something we do not yet know. Judging that Al will "show him how wrong he is" by escaping, perhaps they would be derogatory comments of how Al is a fool and would never make it out...alive.

Zombie Matchmaking - is it just me?
InfestLithium replied to ragawaga's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I could not have said it better than this. I tend to stray off from my group (randoms, of course) and refuse to flip on my mic switch if it's not worth it. The match becomes very interesting when the randoms talk smack about how I'll do horrible because I have no mic and run far from them, but there are the same players who cry "revive me bro" when they go down and I'm the sole survivor. Judging by particular attributes such as no mic or straying from the team aren't necessarily the best guidelines to follow. But I do agree: -
Okay, so there's a lot of changing going around. I'm just going to incorporate what ever has said, including possible times if the DLC were to drop an hour beforehand. Generally, our drops have occurred around the stated times, but it is very possible that they changed to format for time since Black Ops. Time Zone Time (DLC drop) April 15, 2013 Hawaii 11:00pm-12:00am April 16, 2013 Alaska 1:00-2:00am (PST) Pacific Standard Time 2:00-3:00am (GMT) General Mountain Time 3:00-4:00am (CST) Central Time Zone 4:00-5:00am (EST) Eastern Standard Time 5:00-6:00am Europe/London-Scotland 10:00-11:00am United Kingdom 10:00am-12:00pm Sweden 11:00am-12:00pm Australia/Melbourne 6:00-7:00pm Australian Central Time 6:30-7:30pm

It drops 3am Pacific Standard Time (PST), so I think for you it would be 4am. Here is the list of time zones as follows: Time Zone Time (DLC drop) (PST) Pacific Standard Time 3:00am (GMT) General Mountain Time 4:00am (CST) Central Time Zone 5:00am (EST) Eastern Standard Time 6:00am Europe/London 11:00am Australia/Sydney 8:00pm

Welcome to the community, friendo! As you can see, we are a VERY welcoming family. So much so, that we would love for you to be a part of any and all discussions going on within the forum as well as share some of your own insight for us to read. I'm glad that you took the liberty to go from lurker to official member...but typing this all out on a PS3?! My my, I'm pretty sure that is pretty difficult. Enjoy your stay, KEEP LISTENING TO DAFT PUNK(!), and don't stop slayin'! :)

Ah, I understand. I thought you were taking it into individual approach. Ah, so the correlation between each pyramid would reside in what aspect of a lifeform is taken? Makes sense to me. In that scenario, we then have the Moon MPD (not MDT, my pardon) which could be taking the soul other than the rest. It could also embody the spirit as well, but I will try and address that in the next comment. Well, zombies cannot necessarily think. Their brains can only function to three basic needs - fight, eat, and survive. Their mentality is in retrospect to whatever is controlling them. In the movies, zombies are generally reanimated corpses with no master so they rely on those basic functions. But in our world of Zombies, the overseer (Richtofen at the moment) can only bring forth the undead and provide "magic" in the form of power drops, the Mystery Box, etc. I honestly do not believe the controller has any other power relating to the zombies other than that. Otherwise, why would all the other areas around the globe also be affected by the zombie outbreak prior to Richtofen? It's because there is no power to stop them; only prompt them to arise. Zombies have no willpower at this point. The undead are as they are - the living dead. They do without thinking, though you'd think they could still feel some kind of will within them. When I think of this, I think of George Romero or Brutus, the new zombie boss in Mob of the Dead. It could be, going sentimental on that note. I thought it was the same voices that Richtofen was hearing post MPD-encounter. Like it was said before, these noises seem like cries of anguish and torment, almost unbearable to directly listen to. To be honest, I wouldn't be too surprised if that were the case. Those voices are definitely not legible. :)

Quick Revive Isn't Coming Back? (Proof)
InfestLithium replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Mob of the Dead
But then the question becomes why did they leave out Quick Revive other than Afterlife means? Persistent upgrades would carry over from mode to mode, yes. -
ps3 achievements for motd are released
InfestLithium replied to zombiekiller28's topic in Mob of the Dead
Nope; only PS3 gained access to their Mob of the Dead trophies. -
Quick Revive Isn't Coming Back? (Proof)
InfestLithium replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Mob of the Dead
Ah, but there is no Who's Who on this map. Where it was possible in one mode, it more than likely will not carry over in such a way on Mob of the Dead. Should Quick Revive appear, it would more than likely be in Live Matches. I think that it still may be present, but the devs used the new Afterlife mode to see if "reviving" yourself while in it would actually work out. Apparently, it does since there are no revives as Flammen shows. Besides, I don't think the devs would really want to pick up Quick Revive when they only need to test some quirks out in everything new. -
The MDT is more of the outer shell in this sense. Think of it as the skin that encompasses everything within it. The device itself is a constraint of what we know as the gateway to the Aether. Samantha's body acts as the skeleton for which a physical form was granted access, yet the spirit and soul is the nervous system. Once the spirit "turns on", it can control the Aether as a tool for destruction. This is why Richtofen switched souls; he could realistically just move her body and attempt to place his, but even he knew that the Aether would not embody him in that way. Instead, he used the ancient Vril technology to make the transfer of souls happen. Power soon became his as the switch happened. The body does not change because it cannot and will not change - it's nothing more than the outer layer that surrounds the central being. If you remove the body, then you also remove the connection between the Aether and the real world. Why would Richtofen want remove such a link when all he has to do is switch souls and instantly obtain control?

What DON'T You Want to See in Mob of the Dead?
InfestLithium replied to JMDogg's topic in Mob of the Dead
The only problem I could have are the Denizens. They should stay exclusive to the Tranzit mode, and nothing more. Of course, they might just modify them like they did with the Nova Crawlers. -
Quick Revive Isn't Coming Back? (Proof)
InfestLithium replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Mob of the Dead
What bagel basically said. The Afterlife tokens could have been key to this new method of reviving one's self in Solo. It would seem so weird to not have Quick Revive while we have various other perks, but I think Afterlife mode will take care of that problem for us - in a limited fashion mind you. -
Welcome to the family, friendo! You're almost out of high school, huh? Well I guess that means more time to play zombies until you move onto better things! Who would've thought that zombie slaying, skateboarding, and reading could be such a nice hobby combination? The more you partake in our lovely discussions, the faster you'll go from rookie to a professional zombie aficionado. Enjoy your stay, and keep slayin' zombies! :)

Perhaps a mix of new sounds with a recycled noise to form a new kind of sound? I highly doubt we will see Denizens once more on the island. A sound really does not mean anything; it seems like it was audio just thrown into the trailer to give a variation of different noises.
