Hm, and you had the Richtofen side done? Now did you complete it in this very same game, or did you do it beforehand? Also, some say that it may have to do with your character. It looks like you're Russman, but according to other videos of the orb, it varies from player to player.

This has been known for quite a while, actually. If I recall correctly, SpiderBite from NGTZ made the discovery popular, however, he could not re-create the event. To this day, we are all unsure of how it occurs. Do you remember any particular steps during that game [what did you do exactly from the beginning to the end that could be crucial to know]? The same orb can be found when hitting the Mystery Box, though it's a slim chance of seeing it and it appears on random weapons.

Unfortunately, you cannot transfer DLCs between gamertags. This is because you obtained the license upon purchase of the season pass with your secondary account.

The reason why it's a high structure is due to the intention of the humans. They wanted to reach the heavens and create a name among themselves, however, God prevented them from doing so by altering their language and separating them into different regions. But yes; it's rather interesting how we are now dealing with rather tall structures. First the pylon, now Chinese buildings. Hmm... As for the gravity-defying portion, I don't think it'll necessarily be some sort of Wonder Weapon causing it. Rather, a switch. It could be a momentary thing such as the rooms we teleport to in Kino der Toten. They only give you a few seconds to look around, and poof - back to the entrance. Of course, we may get even longer until this "switch is turned off (maybe there's two of them)? Maybe it even has some kind of importance in completing the Die Rise "Easter Egg".

It's 9,999. Anything over the number and the leaderboard will reset itself. My advice is to reach the said amount and either leave the game/suicide or use other means of killing zombies (bus for Tranzit is a good option).

Clocks normally make ticking sounds? Even if it doesn't have hands, the motor has an internal clock which triggers the gears to rotate every second from the delay.

viewtopic.php?f=139&t=27369 This topic explains all the possible theories as to the crew arriving in Die Rise. Some say it's teleportation, others say it's the bus since the ocean is nothing but a barren wasteland, a few may even say that Die Rise takes place before Green Run (to assist in proving why Marlton is not shown in the trailer).

Which Weapons Are Better Than Others
InfestLithium replied to MysteryMachineX's topic in General Zombies Discussion
We already have an illegitimate leaderboard as it is. Not to sound hasty, but do you honestly believe that giving us evidence for the algorithm/formula would be such a concern? People find ways to cheat the leaderboard and game. Honestly, it makes no difference whatsoever. Even if you did post it, I highly doubt that the average player would look at the aspects you just stated and take time to spend their day figuring out said factors. In that time, they'd rather be playing a game of zombies trying to discover new techniques than do "zombie homework". The information you provided is more than adequate. Using the game's predecessor as a reference makes it a bit different (it wouldn't be like Treyarch to re-use the numbers from the engine). That means the numbers we have right now are not 100% correct; they can be extremely close, but not perfect. -
Looks more like the texture was mirrored. You can see a particular pattern matching down below, where the brushes contain the exact same shape but flipped horizontally. It seems like Treyarch decided to re-use the texture to quicken the design of the bus.

Hey friendo, welcome to the forum! Glad to have a full-time zombie lover on board like the rest of us. I hope to see you around again. :)

This is very nice and thorough research you have created, GRILL. I'm quite impressed as to how much work you put in this from small mention of a quote by the bus driver. Well done. I've been looking into Lake Vostok since you have brought it up. It seems that everything we discover, Nazis were always involved in them somehow, haha. But aside that, I managed to find a few things that may support your theory. The lake's discovery is often most credited to the Russians, as they had created a base there unaware of the vastly different ecosystem underneath them. This event occurred somewhere in the mid-1950s presumably after your mention of Nazi Germany intelligence. Many have assumed that the ecosystem was in direct correlation of Atlantis since there was much involvement and suspicion with Antarctica being its homelands. It's not to say that Lake Vostok is a direct doorway to the supposed city, however, one could assume that the sudden change in temperature and discovery of microorganisms could relate to it. http://rense.com/general11/vostok.htm Your mind map does a great job at linking the conspiracies to each map. Of course, this whole zombie storyline is nothing but a bag full of 'em waiting to be explored. It doesn't seem like every map is related to Lake Vostok, however, we could chain some conspiracies consecutively in order to find significance. Let me take a quick snap at how the other maps MAY be related to the lake: Moon: As simple as it already is, we know that the map revolves around the conspiracies of Area 51 in the light of Apollo 11. I had made a quick theory a month ago in a Skype conversation about the Apollo mission being a distraction. In my little thought, I claimed the mission was to divert attention from the U.S. government while they replicated the MTD we see in Hangar 18. It's obvious why the teleporter is in Area 51 and not out in the open. The mainframe, however, had some implications and thus, we do not teleport to the receiver (in other words, we arrive in the loading dock instead of the teleporter above the MPD). All this makes no sense, trust me. But if you were to relate the lake to it somehow, I'd have to go with one thing: It is unknown as to who exactly created the MPD. The only actual in-game proof we have of it is Richtofen's first encounter when he teleports alone and touches it. This is no ordinary force that created the device. Recall Samantha's quote: What is that "evil"? Is it an essence? Could it be one similar to those that may inhabit the lower regions of the lake where the ice becomes practically impenetrable? That's all I really have for now. I can't research too much at the moment since the computer at this school hates loading pages and actually blocks numerous conspiracy sites.

Yeah, I was noticing that as well. I'm not sure if they are even registering to be honest; I'll see a spambot post for the first time at a given time/date, yet I don't see them in the new members area. Maybe we need to implement CAPTCHA or a better validation system.

How does 'The Crew' end up in another continent?
InfestLithium replied to me2kool2talk2u's topic in Die Rise
Weren't there MTD blueprints all around the workbenches in Green Run? It's a long stretch, but perhaps after building all the buildables, they noticed the blueprints and created on. If that's the case, we should be seeing some form of man-made teleportation device around Die Rise. The only other mode of transportation would be the bus. This could be the key if they did travel via bus. When a location is nuked, there isn't any water left behind (as it becomes gas particles that are heavily radiated). I'm not a fan of the tectonic plate shift theory as China would in no way shape or form be that insanely close to America in the first place, but there are certainly some minuscule land shifts apparent. Denizen portals may be involved as Rissole stated. I can't see how they'd teleport into a while new country. I thought there was some form of tunnel system underneath Green Run that allows the crew to teleport from one place to another on random circumstances. Could it have carried over into a different area? It's plausible. -
Rissole and MMX, you guys hit it spot on. From the beginning, we always recognized Richtofen as a rather sadistic yet somewhat "good will" person. We acknowledged that his mind was not in the right place. Slowly and surely, we began to see that he desired power more than anything as the maps came to us. Once Moon hit, his true disposition was revealed and we felt betrayed (but alas, knew that it was bound to happen). In the same instance, we always saw Maxis as the protagonist between the two. Just as MMX quoted, his purpose was to intentionally better mankind in some way. Did he also have a different agenda in the background? Yes, however, it did not become some obtuse fragment that would hinder his ability to set a good or evil personality. What happen on Moon distorted what we thought of Maxis. Rissole pointed out that he still nuked the hell out of Earth. Of course, this was solely to lessen the damage that Richtofen would commit as there was no other immediate way. Somewhere inside of him, Maxis desires revenge at the same rate Richtofen desires more power. This is why there seems to be a race for control. We don't know exactly what Maxis will do once he is in control besides kick Richtofen to the curb, however, we have no other choice if we want to restore mankind. The question is, what does Maxis intend to do: repair the Earth, or seek final revenge? I have to fully agree on this.

Haha, seems like we got quite a few old members coming back for Black Ops II. This is one huge family reunion, eh? Anyhoo, welcome back to the family friendo! The storyline is a bit..well, quirky at the moment; but hey, that's why we're here, right? Hope to see you around more! :)
-
Welcome back to the forum friendo! I don't recall seeing you around (as I was never really much of a poster back then and lurked mostly during the time Moon was released), but I do hope to get to know you and see you around more often. Things have been getting crazy during the Black Ops II zombie storyline, especially with the new DLC coming out that makes it even more horrific to piece together. Anyways, welcome back to the big ol' family. :)
-
I know this seems like a rather absurd idea, but could Die Rise take place before Green Run? That is, to explain Marlton's absence. Of course, that means by the time the crew was in Green Run, they would have already spoken to Maxis and/or Richtofen. I don't know how to explain the situation at hand, but Malrton certainly has not turned or been killed off...yet.

Perhaps it is similar to the good ol' "Michael-Myers" game mode, with some quirks. Y'know, where there are only a select few players as innocent civilians with a crappy gun/melee weapon and the person who is "Myers" will be extremely quick with a knife but susceptible to one-hit kill. In this zombies mode, however, our zombie player won't be fast, yet, will maintain juggernaut status later on in the rounds or whatever they count as "wins".

Hey friendo, welcome to the community! There is a lot of things to discuss here; ranging from the latest zombie killing theories to updated release content to off-topic shenanigans that make no sense whatsoever on the Internet. Hope you enjoy your stay here! :)

It's not the same. Sure, the model is awfully similar, which is exactly what Treyarch wants us to believe. Please look at the facial hair on Marlton; it goes around his face, and then extends underneath his chin to his sideburns. Even though the facial hair looks to be mostly removed due to deterioration, note that the sideburns are suddenly gone. This would not be the case had it been Marlton. Plus, he has black hair and not brown hair.

The image doesn't seem to show Russian characters on the gas pumps. I'm not fantastic at translating foreign words, but when I did some checks concerning the Russian alphabet, there only seems to be at most three letters legible (where the other characters match nowhere). Maybe it's in a different language of some sort.
-
But that's our only evidence as to where Marlton first appeared in the story. The only further backstory beyond his presence in Nuketown is that he used to be part of some group/team, only to be removed from it. He mentions it while inside the shelter in Nuketown. You're right though; nobody specifically came from there.

There are more than four zombies at the beginning of the game.
