  1. I know this seems like a rather absurd idea, but could Die Rise take place before Green Run? That is, to explain Marlton's absence. Of course, that means by the time the crew was in Green Run, they would have already spoken to Maxis and/or Richtofen. I don't know how to explain the situation at hand, but Malrton certainly has not turned or been killed off...yet.
  2. Perhaps it is similar to the good ol' "Michael-Myers" game mode, with some quirks. Y'know, where there are only a select few players as innocent civilians with a crappy gun/melee weapon and the person who is "Myers" will be extremely quick with a knife but susceptible to one-hit kill. In this zombies mode, however, our zombie player won't be fast, yet, will maintain juggernaut status later on in the rounds or whatever they count as "wins".
  3. Hey friendo, welcome to the community! There is a lot of things to discuss here; ranging from the latest zombie killing theories to updated release content to off-topic shenanigans that make no sense whatsoever on the Internet. Hope you enjoy your stay here! :)
  4. It's not the same. Sure, the model is awfully similar, which is exactly what Treyarch wants us to believe. Please look at the facial hair on Marlton; it goes around his face, and then extends underneath his chin to his sideburns. Even though the facial hair looks to be mostly removed due to deterioration, note that the sideburns are suddenly gone. This would not be the case had it been Marlton. Plus, he has black hair and not brown hair.
  5. The image doesn't seem to show Russian characters on the gas pumps. I'm not fantastic at translating foreign words, but when I did some checks concerning the Russian alphabet, there only seems to be at most three letters legible (where the other characters match nowhere). Maybe it's in a different language of some sort.
  6. But that's our only evidence as to where Marlton first appeared in the story. The only further backstory beyond his presence in Nuketown is that he used to be part of some group/team, only to be removed from it. He mentions it while inside the shelter in Nuketown. You're right though; nobody specifically came from there.
  7. Hey friendo, welcome to the community! There's so many threads to check out, and we have such a lovely group of members. Come! The fun has just begun! [insert reference about rainbows here]
  8. There are more than four zombies at the beginning of the game.
  9. I thought I'd pull a super stunt by using the cow-catcher glitch to shoot up in the air. Landed smack in the middle of a random's train. Rage level over 9000.
  10. Yes, it does seem apparent that most of us have done the steps out of order slightly. Nevertheless, we still finished the Easter Egg and even got an achievement signaling its end. But there is one thing I'd like to simply add into this: no where in the game has it occurred that we will see the last of Green Run, that's for sure. You are correct, however; there is a quote by Maxis saying we'd return sometime in the future. With your speculation (as well as the many others who also committed to the same idea), the NavCard could be utilized as an item of importance down the line. The table is needed in a way. When you power up the obelisk for Richtofen, the general player has learned to use the Jet Gun precisely on the meteor until it's heated enough. How this heats up the tower itself, I have no clue. As for Jimmy's tweet, some say that it's due to his irritation of people scrambling around and getting upset at Treyarch for making the Easter so simple that there seems to be more to it. Whether there is actually an additional step or two has not been stated by either side yet. Because you can slightly change the order in how you complete the Easter Egg, many assume that there is only one correct way to getting every quote in the audio files to be played (and getting the NavCard to be successfully accepted).
  11. I'm glad you finally discovered how the system supposedly works on your own, but... viewtopic.php?f=100&t=26010 ...you are late by almost a whole month. Hey - at least you know what it is now. Next time, please use the search function or simply scroll through a few forums before creating a thread to make sure there are no duplicated. ;)
  12. You can't float up the pylon. A video surfaced earlier about someone rising up via power pole, but there is no such "pole" to do that under the tower. Just to be safe, I tried it earlier this morning every possible way I could. The only result I got was watching dirt being blown away and my wife laughing at me like some kind of idiot. I did it in the name of good speculation. :geek:
  13. You pretty much summed up what I was going to babble about. I don't understand why people think the NavCard would be related whatsoever to points. I know it's because someone had said "oh yeah navcard means net asset value so points duh" (extremely exaggerated reference), but that doesn't mean it's true. All we know is that the card is somewhat linked to the Easter Egg whether you have it accepted or not. This pursuit of the NavCard being related to the bank and using Tweets like they're words from the Holy Bible is making everyone go in circles. I'm not saying that all this exploration is pointless, however, this has been declared and said in various, various threads. I'm pretty sure that every page on this Tranzit forum has at least one thread discussing the NavCard as a point asset item.
  14. It's a nice perspective on the church, no doubt. I'm actually pretty interested as far as the connection between a rocket and Green Run, but what definitely makes you say that this is a rocket? This is also a church spire; does that necessarily make it a rocket? Absolutely not. Can I actually confirm that it's not one in disguise? No. Could you explain as to why the church in Town would be a rocket besides aesthetic appearance (I don't count some box underneath the church to be anything related to a power source)? Or even what it is doing there?
  15. Very interesting find. I had known this for a while, however, wasn't sure if it was a fire or simply a warmth brush to it. But seeing as there are others who have discovered it also, I guess I'm not going insane then. This looks like Green Run immediately after the missiles had impacted nearby. The force is coming in very strong, hence the bystanders all looking at the fiery cloud. Do all the postcards have the same effect?
  16. Hey friendo, welcome to the community officially! Keeping scouring around for more up-to-date content; hope to see you around more. :)
  17. Iunno, I prefer Moon over all the maps. So much so, that Der Riese is only 3rd on my list (with Call of the Dead being 2nd). Maybe it's due to my insane love for space plus the idea of floating around while killing zombies, or I'm just a sucker for a good finale map. :P
  18. Could you please post the tweet? I'm looking all over SpiderBite's feed and can't find it for some reason (or perhaps it's because of my eyes drooping that I can't stay focused, haha). I think SpiderBite tweeted the complaint to see if the PS3 not having it was actually proof of a glitch. As for that particular area...I'm not sure why. The game has glitches anywhere, but would you ever think that some important piece of gameplay would be found by simply looking at a laundromat door? It just doesn't add up; perhaps it you could interact with it using the action button ("X" for Xbox 360), then we could make something of it.
  19. Hate to be a debbie-downer, but...the light beams are rather incoherent to the story [for now]. The only evidence we have to prove this is the fact that the PS3 does not have this problem, and neither does PC apparently. It would be strange for one console to have the light beams, yet not the others. Many thought that the light beams may lead us somewhere directly, however, the beams shoot underground and some take us into the bank facing a wall. For those who claim that some of the beams shoot underground to the PaP room, keep in mind that it is actually located underneath the bar and not under the center of Town or even relatively close to the laundromat. As for the contents inside the laundromat, a nice no-clip session in theater will show you that there's nothing inside it with any value. It does seems interesting that the pylon would shoot said beams. But unfortunately, it means nothing as of the moment.
  20. It is unknown what the map location will be for certain. Some say Japan, some say Paris, other say it may be exactly like the multiplayer map, High Rise. We won't know until January 29th though. Well, Paris has been an interesting find in Der Reise since WaW. Many people speculated that this would be the most likely map; in fact, the finale in Black Ops was originally intended to be Paris. Treyarch, however, reconsidered it and decided on Moon. Honestly, it was a beautiful call. Now that Black Ops II is here, the idea of Paris being a finale is more probable since we are on the subject of powering pylons. Of course, this setup will more than likely not be all the case for every single map, but hey - anything goes when things point that way.
  21. Totally forgot about the power room, haha. Even so, it's still a great distance away from the cornfield.
  22. You are absolutely correct. While many think that the O4 is stuck on the Moon, the fact that the teleporter can still send them back into Area 51 sets up a perfect potential outcome for their next appearance. I know that many tried to create the whole "2nd Earth" situation, but that's just downright bogus. It'll be difficult to see where they'll end up next, but considering (like you perfectly stated) that Samantha knows the ins and outs of controlling zombies in the Aether, perhaps they will accomplish a task similar to our Tranzit crew. But very nice thinking - this ought to spark some interesting ideas, friendo. :)
  23. Oh yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. I absolutely love it. Sure, it causes my downs to rack up extremely quick, however, I do it for the team and not to have some fancy record of X kills and 0 down. It's rather amusing to watch the opposing team's players rage quit within a few minutes of realizing what's going on.
  24. As far as the turbines go, they are regularly done at the Depot and Diner. I never really tried at any other lamp, but it seems that those two locations are the only one capable of fully completing the Maxis portion of the Easter Egg (disregarding the whole "Denizens getting in your way" ordeal). Maxis' quote about completing the Trichotomous System, When you place a turbine at the said locations, Maxis will say something along the lines of "You have just activated one of points to the trichotomous system. Now go and complete the rest of the system!". As a result, it's safe to conclude that these locations are necessary for turbines to be near.
