First of all, let me say this: Happy Halloween! And on that note, seeing that zombies is such a hit on Halloween, the CoDz site will be hosting a special Halloween playdate. We will be playing the classic Call of Duty: World At War and of course we'll be playing some Zombies. The way this is going to work is that we will be hosting an MP Lobby where you guys and girls can join in. Once we've got enough people, we will break up into groups of four to head off and fight endless waves of undead nazis. Carbon will stay in the lobby as long as it takes for everyone to find partners, then he will be playing too with a lucky group of 3. If we need to, we will open up a second lobby. We want to do this on the 360 and PS3. If we can get one of our PS3 Ambassadors to host for the PS3, then we can open it up to them as well. We will update this thread once we have confirmation of a PS3 Ambassador's availability. If we can't, then we leave it up to you, the CoDz PS3 community to take charge and set up some zombie games. PS3 members who do well with this could even earn a PS3 Ambassador spot. EDIT: PS3 Playdate info here viewtopic.php?f=42&t=2800 If you'd like to participate, then join the MP lobby of Carbonfibah (XBL GT: carbonfibah). If carbon's lobby gets full, then I will open up another lobby of my own (XBL GT: Covert Gunman). We will be playing at 8PM EST / 5PM PST So if you want to make sure that you get a spot, we suggest you try to join in a little early. Carbon will be closing his MP lobby down around 8:30pm EST to start playing. If you miss this time frame be sure to come back to the forums or chat and try to set up a game for yourself with other members. We hope to see a lot of you out there, and once again, we want to wish you a Happy Halloween!

Voting is now open! :D

If I'd known it was that kinda party.....
Covert Gunman replied to ClaireJeepChick's topic in Introductions
CLAIRE! Even though I've known you've been here for a while and I've already met you, I figured I should still welcome you to the site. So, uh, welcome. :P -
Once again, we have reached the end of the month and the beginning of the next is coming quickly. And with that new month, brings a new User of the Month. I'm going to do things a little differently this time around, so leave a post here with your nomination for UOTM. In a day or so we will open voting and the new User of the Month will be announced on November 1. Thanks again for participating.

how to record gamplay w/o being hooked to the computer?
Covert Gunman replied to markyhundreds's question in Questions
I think that the HD PVR will do that. I believe it has an internal memory so it will save the recorded footage to the built in hard drive and then you can just transfer it to your computer later. -
Repeat topics merged.

Yup, already suggested. And to be honest, it's fairly possible, but I'm still not convinced that Dead Ops Arcade is what Zombies is called so I can't exactly call it a fact.

I currently have some plans for monthly playdates, similar to what we had before MW2 was out. Once I lay out the final details and bring it up with the staff, I'll let you guys know. Also working on setting up something officially with Microsoft. On the PS3 side, I will let our PS3 Ambassadors handle that one.

Let's get this straight. While I fully agree with what Claire, Minus, and Bowski all said before and I support the no tolleration rule for leaked footage, I want to make one thing clear. We do not care if you decide to go looking for this leaked footage on your own. If you want to view leaked footage, that is fine with us. We do not care if you want to share the footage with other people through some private means. You're not going to get banned or anything like that if we find out that you were watching it or shared it with someone. The thing that you WILL get punished for is for posting the footage on our site, discussing leaked footage, or anything of the sort. WE ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CONDONE THIS BEHAVIOR. And yes, I realize I just wrote that all in caps, and that's because I want to drill that into your skulls. I want you to be able to remember this for future reference. We are trying to make these forums the best place you can go to discuss official news and not have to worry about the risk of encountering leaked footage.
-
Hmm, I'm going to have to say no. I don't think we should even discuss any leaked footage unless we're talking about not discussing leaked footage. :P
-
Hmm, have you tried using a proxy to bypass the restrictions? http://www.proxysites.net/

When it all comes down to it, we will most likely have several members of the staff handling the breakdowns of the trailer, screenshots and all that good stuff. Don't take that as meaning that you can't contribute, because we know that the community can always find stuff that we can't, so when the trailer does come out, feel free to do your own breakdown or whatever you'd like with it. :D

WWK Researchers are people who have done some research for the site and have written an article about their findings. The WWK stands for "What We Know". Some of the things they have contributed to include the things that can be found on the front page of our site, such as the Der Riese and Black Ops tabs in the Menu.

Lol, you're thinking of the wrong kind of Xbox Ambassador. The Xbox Ambassadors that he is talking about are not similar to the PS3 Ambassadors that we have on the site. the Xbox Ambassadors are a group of volunteers who signed up officially through Microsoft and Xbox Live to help the community. They do stuff similar to how a real life Ambassador would do things, such as help new people and get them on their feet, except that we help with new users on Xbox Live. We have several Xbox Ambassadors on the site, including Carbon, Minus, and myself. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/amb ... efault.htm

That's a good question. I don't know, what do you think, will there be more spots? Did the Community Manager really just say that? lul. Lmao, it's a joke. It's fun to answer somebody's question with the exact same question. :P

List of Things we now know based on leaked footage.
Covert Gunman replied to BBS's topic in Black Ops
As a heads up, any posts containing links to the leaked footage will be deleted. The whole purpose is that this footage is LEAKED, meaning it isn't supposed to be seen by anyone who hasn't been physically shown the footage. If the footage does go public based on what Treyarch gives out, then it won't be much of a concern, but for now anything containing the footage will be deleted. -
First of all, I would like to start off by saying that you absolutely MUST read our Forum Code of Conduct. You can find the CoC here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3 Like stated in that thread, anyone caught violating these rules will receive some form of punishment whether it be a simple warning or a permanent ban. Now, as an add on to the rules that we already have in place, I am instigating a new rule stating that any topic we find that is a repeat topic to any other topic that can be found on the first page of the forums, WILL BE DELETED. The user who also posted that topic will receive a warning. Any time this happens multiple times and it's from the same user it will result in a permanent ban. I want to make it clear that this rule will only apply to the forum sections that are the most active, such as the three sections within the Black Ops group. Those three sections are "General Discussion", "Black Ops Zombie Discussion", and "GkNova6". On a side note, if for any reason at all, you must make a new topic which is exactly like another, please send a Private Message to one of the forum staff members with a detailed explanation of why you need to make a new topic. I would like to emphasize the fact that if you do happen to see a repeat topic for any reason whatsoever, please report it. If you report it, the staff can respond to it much faster than if we were to look for ourselves. If you would rather not submit a report, then please send a Private Message to any member of the staff. If for any reason you are unsure of who is a member of the staff and who is not, please take a look here to see the list containing the names of every staff member: memberlist.php?mode=leaders I realize that this might seem rather demanding on your part and that we are making it harder for you, but this is for the overall forum's benefit. We attempt to make this the best place that you can go to to converse with others about Nazi Zombies. Recently it has gotten incredibly out of hand and we are going to do our very best to fix it. We hope that you as a community can come together to help the staff with this immensely difficult task. If you have any questions/comments/concerns/violent reactions at all, feel free to send me a Private Message with your concerns. Thanks.

No, it's split based on whether the persons username starts with a lower or upper case letter. :)

Yeah, I too would rather see Map Pack 4. I want it to continue the storyline!

Call Of Duty: Black Ops Prestige Edition video.

The bots are for various different search engines. What they do is do a scan of every single page that the site contains so that it can be cataloged on the search engines. That way, when someone searches for something like "nazi zombies", a page from our site can show up in their search. If the bots didn't visit our site then our pages wouldn't show up on search engines. :D

First of all, welcome to the forums! Good to have you here. It looks like Triix has got ya covered regarding the forum rules and all of that info. Since you wanted to know who the moderator was, or in our case, who the moderators are, you can look here to see the entire staff: memberlist.php?mode=leaders You'll see carbonfibah at the top, who is the site Administrator. After carbon, you'll see Shri, who is a moderator but for the time being he is more of our technical guy so he has Administrator access. After Shri, you'll see me, CovertGunman, and I am the Community Manager. After that you'll see an entire list of all of our moderators. At the bottom can be found our two PS3 Ambassadors, and you've already met one of them, Triixster. Hope this helps. :D

I am simply overriding Ibanez's warning and going straight to a lock. This has gone on long enough and it's just become a nuisance. I believe that Demon has stated things nicely here: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=1175 and you should read that carefully and follow the advice given there. Either way, this thread is now locked.

Nicely put Demon. Glad that at least some of our users seem to understand the situation.
