I was ecstatic when I heard the Lee Enfield and Skorpion were in the game. It looks really good but I don't understand what's with the "No Stopping Power"??? If you watch the trailer it takes a good 4-5 shots to kill someone now. They probably have something there for that, maybe not... but overall the game looks amazing. So smooth and detailed. One word - rifles. The game is no longer dominated by Sub-Machine Guns and now people can play with the bolt-actions and the rifles. If I'm not mistaken they have put measures in place to prevent modded controllers. So that's a good start. Now I hope they crack down on the early players who pirated the game. Overall great MP reveal although I hope we get some info on a Beta and Co-Op mode soon!

I like this. So many people find boosting annoying, I'm no exception. I was in a match yesterday and the kids just talked about boosting. It was ridiculous. I asked them "why do you boost anyway?". They told me they boosted only for the bad guns that they don't use.... Anyway Robash great post, you got some [brains] !

Guys stop flaming please. I don't mean to ruin the parade but Gamestop wouldn't have the game until the last week of October. So getting it is out of the question. But if you do reveal it, please post warnings and put it into a

I'm getting the Tritton headset. I think $200 is worth it. I've heard a lot of positivity about Tritton products.

Exactly. Spot on. Just because Josh said "they are not official" does not mean "they aren't true". There is a difference. Have some [brains]

I don't mean to sound rude but until we get confirmation from Treyarch there is no beta. Plus "Gamespotbetas.com" doesn't seem very legit.

In all fairness it should be on both consoles and the PC. However, as igetmyspason said, it's first designed on the 360, then ported once it's time to release it. So it would be easier just to test it on the 360. Life isn't fair, Activision isn't either. Just on time Josh Olin. There you go.

You... you don't like classical? Haha, I'm just kidding, welcome to the site! ...although you've already been here for quite a while. :D

haha I don't know why but that day I was just on a roll. I got my first nuke and just kept going. Later in the night I lost my touch though so that was a bummer.

As realistic as it seems to have the ability to silence snipers, I don't think it belongs in a Call Of Duty game. I think the silenced snipers in MW2 were absolutely garbage. You had to get a headshot for a 1 hit kill. If you didn't have SP, you might as well be throwing sticks at people. It just generally didn't fit well with the game. For instance, the .50cal is usually a one hit kill above the waste. With a silencer it's only 1 hit kill to the upper chest or head. You aren't going to take off that much damage with a silencer on a .50 caliber sniper. I think silencers on snipers are not a good idea.

I have 8 nukes in 3 days. 1 thursday, 5 friday and 2 today.

Alright guys, enough with the flaming please. Can we just stop with this.

If you die in the hanging man, you can't be revived. The game ends and you start from wave 1.

IW made Call Of Duty. They're the reason we're getting Black Ops. I wouldn't be so quick to say I hate them with a passion. Sure, they messed up very bad, but they made the series. CoD2 and CoD4 were amazing. MW2, well, MW2 sucked.

Sledgehammer has no other games thus far so we don't know if they suck. Yes, Activision is money hungry and Treyarch is going to blow up the 2010 game scene with Black Ops. But hopefully they follow up with better DLC than Infinity Ward did. I really hope they stick to Map Pack #__ Not "Resurgence, Stimulus". Because Sledgehammer hasn't shown any gameplay yet, I am worried about what they are producing.
-
Sledgehammer games is currently producing a Call Of Duty that probably will be out in 2011. So in my opinion, no Black Ops is not the last Call Of Duty. You've made a good point though, IW has none of it's lead designers and now they'd have to hire people who don't have a clue in order to continue designing. I just don't see it happening. Sledgehammer is a different company to IW. Sledgehammer is under Activision. Activision still owns the rights to Call Of Duty. Jason West and Vince Zampella (Respawn Entertainment, EA) own the rights to "Modern Warfare" so they can continue to create Modern Warfare games, but not with the Call Of Duty title. The game Sledgehammer is producing is an Action-Adventure. Which is a whole new path for Call Of Duty.

Why would you post leaked info about a game we're all anticipating? That's like writing a novel and then telling us all about it before it's released.
-
Why you would even say something like that is beyond me, have you not read the forum Code of Conduct?

It could be Dan Bunting. He works at Treyarch.

I was just looking around Sub Pens in spectator when I found a doghouse with "DAN" written on it. I kind of laughed at the thought of it being a reference to carbonfibah. I now think it may be a reference to him. Anyone?

Could you explain what you mean? I've never seen any ghosts on Nightfire...

Definitely not a good idea, hardcore ricochet. Needs to be exclusive to private matches. I think the regular hardcore is definitely better except for the team killers. Which are very popular in every game with a teamkill option. I think the way MW2 was made is generally garbage and I hope that Black Ops only takes minimal features of Modern Warfare 2.

4th prestige either 25 or 26. (World At War) 10th prestige 55 on CoD4 10th prestige 70 on MW2 (10th lobby, I only wanted the titles/emblems, oh well)

I've never liked Grenade Launchers. It's a common attachment for weapons, sure. But I don't think it has a place in Call Of Duty. I joined a match the other day and the whole killfeed was Grenade Launcher after Grenade Launcher. I think there were 5-6 gun kills the whole game. Now that was Modern Warfare 2. In World At War, I rarely run into Rifle Grenades. That's because people don't take the time to use them because they are too busy using the MP40 or other SMGs. Balance wise I think Call Of Duty's multiplayer (after CoD4) is awful. It has been since perks came in. When I played CoD2, nobody used SMGs, they all used rifles and/or shotguns. Then in CoD3 (another Treyarch game) the same thing. People used automatics, but they weren't as notorious as they are now. They used to give 2-3 automatics per team. Now they've got Assault Rifles, Submachine Guns, LMGs, Machine Pistols. It's just a big mess. I do like however, that Treyarch only had 5 Assault Rifles/SMGs. Plus the Heavy and Light Machine guns were effective, but they were not recoil-less like Modern Warfare 2.

This is known as "Dragons Breath" it's basically turning your Spas into a flamethrower.
