  1. Well, well, well, if it isn't one of my favourite forum members. I would say welcome but it feels like you haven't gone anywhere so HELLO!
  2. And that, my friends, is why Modern Warfare 2 is a terribly made game. That looked way to easy, he didn't even fire a weapon. Didn't take an ounce of skill.
  3. Welcome back Deadshock! Hell yeah, Mario 64 was the first game you played? I still play that to this day and it never gets old. Love my Nintendo 64.
  4. I do actually really like when the Thompson is Pack-a-Punched but the ammo on it drains so quickly. I think it's the same strength as the Barracuda though.
  5. Here is some info on the Cuban Missile Crisis for those who aren't up to speed; The Cuban Missile Crisis was the closest the world ever came to nuclear war. The United States armed forces were at their highest state of readiness ever and Soviet field commanders in Cuba were prepared to use battlefield nuclear weapons to defend the island if it was invaded. Luckily, thanks to the bravery of two men, President John F. Kennedy and Premier Nikita Khrushchev, war was averted. In 1962, the Soviet Union was desperately behind the United States in the arms race. Soviet missiles were only powerful enough to be launched against Europe but U.S. missiles were capable of striking the entire Soviet Union. In late April 1962, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev conceived the idea of placing intermediate-range missiles in Cuba. A deployment in Cuba would double the Soviet strategic arsenal and provide a real deterrent to a potential U.S. attack against the Soviet Union. Meanwhile, Fidel Castro was looking for a way to defend his island nation from an attack by the U.S. Ever since the failed Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961, Castro felt a second attack was inevitable. Consequently, he approved of Khrushchev's plan to place missiles on the island. In the summer of 1962 the Soviet Union worked quickly and secretly to build its missile installations in Cuba. For the United States, the crisis began on October 15, 1962 when reconnaissance photographs revealed Soviet missiles under construction in Cuba. Early the next day, President John Kennedy was informed of the missile installations. Kennedy immediately organized the EX-COMM, a group of his twelve most important advisors to handle the crisis. After seven days of guarded and intense debate within the upper echelons of government, Kennedy concluded to impose a naval quarantine around Cuba. He wished to prevent the arrival of more Soviet offensive weapons on the island. On October 22, Kennedy announced the discovery of the missile installations to the public and his decision to quarantine the island. He also proclaimed that any nuclear missile launched from Cuba would be regarded as an attack on the United States by the Soviet Union and demanded that the Soviets remove all of their offensive weapons from Cuba. During the public phase of the Crisis, tensions began to build on both sides. Kennedy eventually ordered low-level reconnaissance missions once every two hours. On the 25th Kennedy pulled the quarantine line back and raised military readiness to DEFCON 2. Then on the 26th EX-COMM heard from Khrushchev in an impassioned letter. He proposed removing Soviet missiles and personnel if the U.S. would guarantee not to invade Cuba. October 27 was the worst day of the crisis. A U-2 was shot down over Cuba and EX-COMM received a second letter from Khrushchev demanding the removal of U.S. missiles in Turkey in exchange for Soviet missiles in Cuba. Attorney General Robert Kennedy suggested ignoring the second letter and contacted Soviet Ambassador Anatoly Dobrynin to tell him of the U.S. agreement with the first. Tensions finally began to ease on October 28 when Khrushchev announced that he would dismantle the installations and return the missiles to the Soviet Union, expressing his trust that the United States would not invade Cuba. Further negotiations were held to implement the October 28 agreement, including a United States demand that Soviet light bombers be removed from Cuba, and specifying the exact form and conditions of United States assurances not to invade Cuba.
  6. Short and to the point. Just the way we like it here. Welcome to the forums!
  7. It's like the whole company is collapsing in front of our eyes. I'm guessing this means a no for a Modern Warfare 3 then... Thank God.
  8. I seem to remember agreeing to work on the Wunderwaffe back when this was first brought up so I'll work on that if thats alright? Would you like me to just post it as a topic or send it to you?
  9. Welcome back Lissa :)
  10. Good stuff. So I think that we can safely establish that the Uranium in the video is in fact referencing that of an atomic bomb. This has got to be about zombies. Maybe though we're only seeing a glimpse into the time period the next COD game is going to be set as opposed to zombies?
  11. "A nova is a cataclysmic nuclear explosion caused by the accretion of hydrogen onto the surface of a white dwarf star, which ignites and starts nuclear fusion in a runaway manner." So basically we're looking at a nuclear explosion here. Yet Nova, like supernova, seems to be when a star explodes. What does this have to do with zombies? Could it be anything to do with the meteor by any chance?
  12. That map does actually look pretty damn awesome. I never really saw Corrosion as a zombies map but it really works here. They could have picked better music though, since when did cheesy dance music go with killing zombies?!
  13. I'm pretty sure that a member of Treyarch said it on the video when the let a camera crew in their studios. Thats actually a pretty good idea. The last thing I thought of was the weapons being right in front of us!!
  14. Well I played MW2 for about a couple of days and got fed up and have been playing WaW again constantly since then.
  15. Sometimes they even dance around like their heads spin and so do their hands. It's awesome!
  16. The Flogger is awesome. I've had it before now when me and my friends are trying to catch to zombies as they fly towards us. Has anyone ever seen when the flogger decides to glitch and the zombie get stuck underneath and don't move?
  17. Welcome to the forum! It's great here having so many people from all over the world.
  18. Actually while everyones at it you may as well list what perks you use with the weapons to make them better. When I eventually get the PPSH I tend to use Bandolier, Stopping Power and Steady Aim at least then I can waste as much ammo as I please :)
  19. Wait what? Am I missing something here? Where can you buy ammo for the Barracuda off the wall?
  20. I'd say mine is the PPSH.
  21. 21 I think. Don't really play this map much though. When I first got into zombies it was around when Verruckt came out.
  22. To be honest I kinda go through phases of which ones I like best. Verruckt for a quick game because it's so damn hard, Shi No Numa for quick-ish game as well and Der Riese if we've got at least 4 hours!!
  23. Alot of people who have got to higher rounds seem to use the running round the Comm Room technique. I did this up until the 30's and got a bit bored. It doesn't seem to involve a huge amount of skill. With two players though got to round 33.
  24. I'm not entirely sure. Because I play alot of split screen it doesn't save your score on the leader boards so I just forget. I think it's something around 24-25 with two people. Verruckt is the hardest in my opinion.
  25. I recognise the name. Glad to see you posting on the new boards! It's good to see the new slick looking site is encouraging older members to post again :)
