Topic locked. Yeah, "forum has turned to shit"? Don't really have the grounds to say that when you have, what, eleven posts?

Actually, now that I look at the layout of Celerium in the campaign, several in-game models can be recycled to easily make a map such as this, in addition to some Hispanic character models.

Interestingly enough, a fallout shelter is built into the side of the terminal you spawn in... 0_0

All this said, I don't see him as part of the original crew, but I CAN see him involved in the story in some way. Perhaps he attempted to alert the Military Police in the facility about the effects of 115 and the zombies it was creating, but assuming him to be a "nerd" (a man of his intellegence would no doubt be mocked during that time) they locked him in the fallout shelter as a jerk. I could be wrong... I could be VERY wrong... Time will tell I suppose. XD

^I agree with ust about everything you stated. I must admit, if someone was expecting a direct sequal to Black Ops, it would be a little disappointing. It jumped a gap of several years and left us guessing towards the meanings of the messages in the terminal. Dispite this though, I found myself not really caring, as the new story was just so much more engadging.

O-- Okay... While I can agree that we all need to be civil here... Sorry, but I seriously can't see this... I wish I could provide you a specific reason why you are wrong, but it would be like trying to pinpoint exactly why JFK and Jesus never drank beer together on the weekends. Just too many for me to pick.

Haha, thanks dude, I aim to please.

Poll: Who do you follow in the backstory?
Faust replied to Telixion's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Richtofen, no question. In a choice between two evils, I at least want to pick the guy who is entertaining. -
Big thanks to everyone who took the time to respond! I forgot what this sorta thing feels like, posting research. :D

Legend abounds that the Amazon Rain Forest is not a naturally formed paradise, but rather formed by a civilization that predates any written records. Without any written logs however, and with the forest itself to inhospitable for any long-term archaeological expeditions, little evidence has abounded towards this. Expert opinions still weighed in on the matter however in and article posted by The Atlantic: If there are any brave botanists among us, perhaps they would like to step forward and read the paper that inspired these comments. Bare in mind this was written in 1989: http://ethnobiology.org/sites/default/f ... /Balee.pdf I pressure you to all remember that at time the piece was written there was little to no credibility to this theory. It appears all of that may have changed however when in the year of 2009, when the book "Lost City of Z" was published. This groundbreaking book by David Grann chronicles the tales of past adventurers who have explored the Amazon Rain Forest. Chief among these adventurers was one Percy Fawcett, a man who wished to prove that an ancient civilization within South America may well have been the fabled Atlantis. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percy_Fawcett Mato Grasso, as should be remembered, is rumored to be a major enterance to Hollow Earth. Fawcett's dream of locating and ancient advanced civilization did not die with him however: Source (special thanks to Ms. Bonnie McGuire: http://www.mcguiresplace.net/Stories-Th ... %20of%20Z/ Modern evidence has risen on the topic aswell. As continued deforestation of the Amazon continues, more and more ancient ruins are being discovered in previously unexplored areas. So, an ancient, long lost civilization, Atlantian ruins, a 200 year old secret, and hollow earth? Sounds like a CoDz Christmas list. If one listens to the ending song in Green Run, a distinctly exotic tune can be heard. Perhaps a possible hint towards what we might see in the future? Nevertheless, every story, piece of evidence, and person presented in this comes from real world events. Are we really just video game theorists, or are we rewriting history? Honestly, someone tell me, because at times like this the line is too blurred for me to tell. "Whether we get through, and emerge again, or leave our bones to rot in there, one things for certain. The answer to the enigma of Ancient South America...and perhaps of the prehistoric world...may be found when those old cities are located and opened up to scientific research. That the cities exist, I know..." -Percy Fawcett

Big BO2 Breakthroughs. Dates, Locations. Manhattan Project
Faust replied to Shooter's topic in General Zombies Discussion
You glorious bastard! It is awesome to see people like you on the scene making threads like this, they are incredibly informative and an interesting read! Keep up the good work! :D -
Considering the events of Tranzit, I am willing to call this idea confirmed and that HAARP is full canon in the Black Ops Zombies story! :D

Avenged sevenfold single player cameo of excellence (Spoiler
Faust replied to Electric Jesus's topic in Single Player
Yes, there is a way of keeping Mason alive. How he is shot will determine whether or not he lives or dies. -
Right off the bat here, I would just like to say how masterful I found the campaign mode in this game. The nonlinear story arch created a personal experience that I found amazing. I know this has been stated time and time again by sites that rate games like Black Ops II, but I would just like to deliver a personal statement by saying: This has been the most memorable, and entrancing Call of Duty to date. From the bottom of my heart Treyarch, thank you. PS... Formal rhetoric aside... Chloe Lynch + Harper = Epic shipping... Pleaaaase let me have this piece of head canon.

"What the fuck?" "Naw, I'm just lazy." Brilliant... Absolutely brilliant. XD -
It might go the way of the Halo Trilogy and create a series of games set as side-stories and prologues to the Modern Warfare series. I know a game titled "Modern Warfare: Ghost" was rumored to be in production a while ago, which was told to chronicle the story of Ghost in Modern Warfare 2. To be honest if they made it a unique and updated experience similar to the way Bungie handled Halo: ODST, I would love to purchase a game like that while waiting for the next edition of Black Ops.

Surprise! Black Ops II Live action trailer with Zombies!
Faust replied to Maz's topic in Single Player
Needless to say, this trailer made me pumped for the release! I really can't wait to get my hands on the game. The graphics used in this look amazing, the live-action blends better with the CGI then a lot of movies I have seen. It truly is something that games are starting to have a higher budget and cast than hollywood productions nowadays. -
Brilliant thread, you did a masterful job of informing users not familiar with Oliver North. No doubt the conflict with the Contras will play a major roll in the story of Mendez. If brains could be shared, they would.

I haven't the foggiest idea what that could mean. If I had access to my full devices I could try to be of some help, but I will be away on bussiness for the rest of the week until Monday. Good luck all.

Let me remind you that is an opinion. Personally I think she looks like a gutter trash slut who the zombies would be running from for fear of an STD. I am sorry... why is that bad? Like ZOTD said, why even act like that dude? It's fun for everyone involved.

I do like the idea of having a zombies campaign. It sounds like it is going to be one hell of a road trip that I can't wait to head out on. By the way, I am sure someone has mentioned this by now, but for all of you complaining that they hate this idea of playing as civilians, let me remind you of two this. 1) There is an insanely hot chick with a shotgun 2) The whole planet looks completely wreaked. Lava is pouring out of the ground and all hell has broken lose. Call it a hunch but this PROBABLY shows some sort of overarching story from the first two games. So calm down folks.
