Alright folks, here is the deal. I DON'T CARE IF THEY DIFFERED FROM THE CORE OF ZOMBIES. It was begining to get boring and people were starting to request new dynamics. Lets face it, if it were EXACTLY THE SAME THING as the previous games, then it would proving everything true that has been said negativly about zombies and call of duty. Treyarch busted their hump to reinvent the game for us, so be thankful for that. Personally, I think this sounds amazing. It is one long zombie-infused-thrill-ride-road-trip, and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

I CAME!

Paris has been a reappearing location in the series. Anyone who has seen Waffle's video can attest to that. Beyond that you have Le Cercle and a whole other atmosphere of cryptic messages hidden in the game. I would not be surprised if Paris was in fact the passcode.
-
I will be damned, I might have cracked it. When Paris is entered into the Vigenere cipher with the code it is decrypted to Mutators.
-
Vigenere cypher was invented by a French Diplomat in the 16th century. I have attempted to plug qarantaine into the cipher, but no luck. It makes me think more and more about the possible connection to Paris and the Catacombs. (Though the catacombs themselves were not formed until the 18th century, so I can't be too sure if that is a solid lead, aside from the catacombs commonly being referred to as a gateway to hell.)

Capitals = E,E,N,V,I,G,R,E Any idea if these have any significance? Was just talking to ShapeShifter on Skype and we thought they may be some form of anagram but aren't sure :S - Waffles Perhaps. We also have to deal with the matter of the second line of code: Bukildrj: The trick here is figuring out what is the cipher and what is the code.

Look familiar? HANFORD here we come!
Faust replied to chrisac85's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Could be very interesting if true. Hanford isn't that far from Santa Monica, Treyarch's headquarters. -
1) Apologies for the repost, I suppose I was a bit late getting on the scene on this one. 2) Great thread you made there. I wish I could give you brains for it. 3) My mistake with the artists. But hey, I learned something new today! :D

I'm going to be honest on this one, I used to LOVE Avenged Sevenfold, but I have grown jaded to the whole genre of metal. I was hoping for a bit more electronica or at the very least some form of industrial metal. I think that taking the talent and genious of A7X and mixing it with a more modern, dirty, aggressive sound would make for a great soundtrack.
-
You are all very hard to impress when I am always late to the party when new info breaks. -___- It has become a theme in the story that Richtofen's point of view is sung by Avenged Sevenfold, while Samantha is sung by Elena. Seems straightforward enough really. The song is as much a part of the story as the zombies we fight.
-
Agreed. Everything else is burnt, why wouldn't the robot be? I believe that several people have mentioned to Total Recall reference in this, and so far this game seems to really play off a lot of old movies from the 80s. (Which I must admit I am loving.)

G65-CDgrgEM Those of you with keen ears may have been able to pick out that the song in the latest video "WaltZ" released by Treyarch is actually "Earth Angel" by the Temptations. Those with an even keener memory and fine taste in movies might remember that the song was played by none other than the Great Marty McFly in the 1985 classic Back to the Future during the waltz with his father and his mother back in 1955. Hmmm... Could this just be coincidence, or could this mean something more?

Big things I noticed in the zombie trailer
Faust replied to SirPlasticDucky's topic in General Zombies Discussion
No. That earned you a warning. We were all new to the forums at some point. I am actually glad to see someone who doesn't know that much about the story, at least not to the level of some of our senior members. It encourages me to attempt to help teach people everything I know and help them as much as I can. :) -
Fish? N-- No... no. Dude, it is fibah. Like, how people from Boston say fiber. CarbonFIBER.

what why alternate universe? Because in ours everything isn't all exploded.

Big things I noticed in the zombie trailer
Faust replied to SirPlasticDucky's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Exactly. You came in sounding like these are things that you KNOW you saw in the trailer. And as far as the "Anything is possible"... Ehhhhhhhh, yes and no. Yes, odd things do indeed happen and things get EXTREMELY complex, but no because things need to follow something that would make a good story and be justified by the mythos. -
>Walks up to carbon >Looks directly at him >You notice I am crying >Single tear of joy rolls down my cheek >Hugs you Thank you.... Thank you so much. MFW I was watching the new trailer:

Eh... what!? Sorry, but I 'reckon you are just SWAGing this. (Silly Wild Ass Guess) -
GAH! ZOMBIES! TWITTER BLOWING UP! END OF THE WORLD! >starts to foam at the mouth >goes into shock The zombies story must pick up in an alternate universe were moon left off, with the entire earth ravaged by nuclear impact. The tech is clearly a mixture of 1950s sciences with a futuristic zest. Obviously reminds me very much of the Fallout series. The eyes of the zombies are blue (I am sure someone picked that out already) so I am sure we will see some sort of overarching story. If anything I can predict that the destruction of most of the world force what little humans were left to adopt unconvention technologies that we see in the old "____ of the FUTURE!" magazines that cropped up in the 50s and 60s.
-
You beat me to it on the microwave cannon, good find. I am super excited for black ops now. I think some people might come forward saying that some of the tech looks OP, but I think that would hardly be an issue considering the amount of technology that would also go into the game to counter different perks and weapons systems. Naturally, I am skeptical on the new Create-a-class system, but I have faith that if anyone can find a way of making it work, Treyarch can.
