  1. First time I read that I missed the "first room" part Sounds impressive, I have never tried a "first room" challenge like that. I'd imagine it would get pretty difficult quickly
  2. Just wanted to say after noticing the userbars about the site, I think they look really good Only I have a question, are the names used in the userbars going be changed or are they set as they are now?
  3. I have to agree with MegaAfroMan, there are a lot of really awesome people showing up all of a sudden, it's great to see them all back.
  4. Awesome job on this, I love reading stuff about some of the older maps and you have always done a great job finding and backing up locations of maps .
  5. Just to throw in my 2 cents I think I think George Romero, Sarah Faraday and Cerberus sound the best for there respective ranks (if it is possible to fit the names in), but do agree that Sarah belongs at tier 4 rather than 8. "Him" would also be my preferred name. I also think the giant (Robot) should be included somewhere as he is a very iconic entity in Origins and I think he looks good in the userbar. I would definitely like it as a high rank.
  6. I imagined that it would simply be to create a more complete story form the characters, they only get one map so there is no time to build up a back story through multiple maps, which is possible with the N4/O4 . No other quotes are trigger-able when downed so it was a good time to throw some back-story in, form a non gameplay perspective your idea of it being contemplation is a good explanation. Personally I found it to be a nice surprise when I first heard them and found them very interesting
  7. I also have to say that I've also had a bit of fun with this online, played it on origins so I was focusing on the staffs and generators ect. But avoided getting any kills
  8. I'd imagine they would show up as you start to complete the EE, they wouldn't be there at the very start but maybe when you build all staffs they appear. But that's still a really interesting find, I've never saw anyone mention that and I find it funny we managed to complete the egg and never even found these (Unless they have been found before I I've just never saw them) I'll go have a look at them when I get some time later to see if I can confirm when they show up
  9. Time wise I feel that we spent some time trying to work out what to do next, now that we know how to do it it should go quicker. And I feel we burned a few rounds on killing the zombie with the zombie blood. If we can organise that better it would really help. Missing the ice parts hit very hard as you said, but over all I think we have a good plan and hopefully we can get closer to the target some time. I had a great time playing with you guys, any idea if we will be trying again?
  10. If you guys don't have a 4th yet I would love to join, I'm on GMT time also Unfortunately I can't help with hosting/streaming but it seems you guys have that covered
  11. Personally I prefer the more complex maps but I do so for a rather different reason to most I'd image To help explain my opinion I fist want to say that I don't like the idea of keeping a crawler or zombie to buy perks or hit the box, by that I mean I love running about mid round doing this sort of stuff. I understand that it is obviously not efficient in terms of minimizing downs or even getting to high rounds but I find it much more enjoyable to have a sense of danger and fighting my way across the map to do these sort of things. I also hear a lot of people talking about getting "Set up" for a high round the fastest way, working out the best route to take and the order they must do each thing in. while I can see the appeal and usefulness of that I can't stand the idea myself. I had a friend I played with for a while who took this to extremes and would insist that we couldn't pick up a nuke until it flashed every time so we would get the most points and many thing like that and if you didn't do it perfectly he would start to get really annoyed. I don't play with him much anymore. I find that having everything I need for the rest of the game on round 9 for example make the rest of the game very tedious as it then come to simply training or camping it out as long as possible, of course I understand that these tactics are essential for a high round run I want to avoid that for as long as possible, so I can run around the map doing different things until it gets to the rounds where training zombies in the best location is the only practical option left and at that point I do enjoy it and regard myself as being fairly good at it. This enjoyment of the frantic early stages of most games, getting my guns and perks, is why I enjoy the more complex maps as it mean I have more objectives to complete and I can spend longer running around doing different stuff. I will find myself filling the boxes in origins and when I claim my reward I very rarely use it but I will till try to fill the boxes most games I play. If I'm playing solo I'll go out of my way to build all the staffs even if I am only planning on using one. TL/DR: I suppose it really come down to what you consider to be fun, whether that is getting to high rounds or just getting some epic clutch moments while running around the map trying to complete different objectives. I find the later more fun and thus I find the complex maps much more enjoyable. I also enjoy going for high rounds but even then I prefer to make these attempts on a more complex map where it might have been easier or faster to do so on a simpler map.
  12. I find that jumping at jug is much easier, it's to hard to time the throw on the gondola. I seem to get lucky jumping to get it as I usually get it first try
  13. Ignoring the ending for now, I would agree that the origins story may not have been my favorite either but what I am focusing on is the way in witch it was delivered. I feel that if the go back to the story in the main "Dimension" (or start a new story or whatever they decided to do) and continue to tell us it in the same way they did in origins I would be happy Although game-play and map design is important, the story has become such a large part of zombies and I feel has largely contributed to it's continued success and I think a lot of people would have a problem with a map without story even if it was a lot of fun to play. They should have to time and resources to work on both
  14. Great to see you're still working on this, It's a great resource
  15. After seeing origins I don't think we have much to worry about story wise. I think it proved that they have learnt how to balance small EE such as radios, posters, codes and hidden scraps of paper with the main side quest. As regards to "Real radios" what is wrong with the radios in origins? I would personally prefer even more focus on the smaller stuff but I would be happy to see a balance on the level of origins throughout our next zombies installment
  16. I recently started to play zombies again and was playing origin with randoms, they all had mics so I decided to turn mine on (Witch I rarely do) and we ended up having some pretty fun games. On one game I went down without revive on round 22 after having to reload and missed shooting the robot's foot but next round I managed to get a mp40 and train until I got 115 head shots (Been using ray gun most of the game so I was low on head shots) and got a PAP Gail from the reward box and we ended up getting to round 30. It felt awesome to make a full comeback so late in the game as I didn't have many points
  17. One of the thing I am most proud of are quite simple things but I felt awesome finding them, When playing on shangri-la I noticed a few diffrent sets of writing about the place, Illuminate code around the gongs and a strange (and to this day unknowan to me) set of symbols on the side of the Wonder weapon on that map, It seemed like no one else had found them and even though they turned out to be pratically useless, it felt awesome to find them.
  18. It's awesome to see the site back up. Congrats to everyone who was working on it and thank you for bringing it back.
  19. I have had the same 2 controllers for nearly 3 years now, but for quite a while they have both had very different problems, on on the RB button doesn't work and on the other everything works perfectly but you can't use a mic with it. I have refused to get a new controllers because these two problems have never bothered me much, I use one for online and one for playing by myself, and I'm getting a PC soon so I am happy I have managed to keep the same 2 controllers since I got my xbox, microphones are my main problem, I'm on my 5th and I finally got a wireless on witch works great
  20. Hello Craig, welcome to the site I'm also from the UK so nice to see more guys from over here, zombies is a great game for having fun and chilling out so I hope you are enjoying it
  21. I love listening to the zombie songs so it eoulf be great for me to have them all in one place, currently I am just listening to a video wit all the songs up to moon in a row, it would be nice to chose what I listen to after each song :)
  22. Alright I think I get it better now, sorry about all the questions like that, I stated to feel like I was interragating you I just want to believe this idea is as airtight as you do if I am to believe it and esspecially if you are going to incorporate it in to you trilogy thread, Since I now think I understand it and my point doesn't seem particularly valid any more I'll leave any further disscusion on this topic to when you are writing it for the trilogy thread. There are still lots of other things to disscus
  23. Can you try to word this another way? Sure, that is a little unclear and I'm sure the typos don't help (I'm on a mobile device ) Maybe if I phrase it as another question it would make more sense, when Sam choses to go back to being a normal girl at what point in time does she chose to become human again? (For example is it during the white flash after the game over screen, she creates the world and immediately appears talking the story to Eddie (but this wouldn't work because of the point I brought up) If the bit in brackets doesn't make sense then ignore it and just answer the question, what I am trying to say just about makes sense in my head so it is hard to type it out
  24. 1. When we free her from Agartha. 2. When we free her from Agartha. she starts the cycle over, Group 935 forms in WW2, Nacht through Buried happens, then Origins happens, we free Samantha, cycle starts over, etc. I'll assume they are the answers, and correct us if we are wrong MMX. So I'm guessing you believe when Sam decides to return to being a girl then you don't believe that she changed reality during the white flash, but that she has been loving in the world a little while and is now telling the story of origins. Ok I can get that. I'll have to think about this a little more then
