Okay guys, heres a little tip if you aren't 100% sure about something, and you wouldn't be able to provide a source for what your saying, dont post it. Zeighail did a nice job clearing up some of the things you guys got wrong, but there are many more things. Heres exactly how the IW-Activision fiasco went down. So, MW2 comes out. Breaks the record for biggest entertainment release of all time. Activision said they would pay IW employees bonuses for making such a successful game. They didn't cough up the bonuses a couple of months after release. Vince Zampella & Jason West get fired. Now the story plits up into two ways, Vince & Jasons story, and Activisions story. -Activisons story: Vince and Jason were purposely trying to sabotage the production of modern warfare 3. Activison believes they were doing this because they didn't want MW3 to be released, so they could go to a different publisher so that they can form a new company then make MW3 with them. -Vince and Jasons story: Activison fired them because they didn't want to pay them bonuses considering that they would be the two that get the most money, since they are the founders. But them after that more then 30 employees, most of them being senior employees left. About a week after the firings Jason & Vince formed "Respawn Entertainment" with EA. So far they have hired about 15 Ex IW employees. There will be a Trial on May 23rd 2011 between Vince & Jason and Activison over the title of "Modern Warfare." If Vince and Jason win, they are likely to continue to make modern warfare games. If Activision wins they are just going to keep making IW make Modern Warfare games. V&J (Im just going to abbreviate it because i dont feel like typing out vince & jason 100 times.) are also suing for millions of dollars, because of the unpaid bonuses. Another thing to note is that A group of around 35 current and Ex infinity ward employees are suing activison for the unpaid royalties. They say that activison isen't paying them there bonuses because they want them to stick around so that they have to make modern warfare 3. Because if an employee leaves he/she wont be able to get there bonuses. They are also saying that Activison promised IW that IW would be able to make whatever game they want after MW2, but activison forced them to start to work on MW3. Alright now that all of that is over let me explain what each studio is working on. Treyarch- Black Ops. IW- Modern Warfare 3. Its unknown if it will be released in 2011. Sledgehammer Games-Unknown. There were rumors that they are working on future warfare, but its still largely unconfirmed. I personally think they are working on a modern pay-to-play fps xbox exclusive. But thats still, very unconfirmed. They could just be a 3rd studio in the series so that each studio now has 3 years to develop and publish a game. Now let me clear up some things that you guys said. No no no. Sledgehammer is not IW, IW is not sledgehammer. Nuf said. No, Vince and Jason and Respawn entertainment, and EA. Do not own the rights to MW. When we have the trail, if V&J win they will get the rights to MW. But right now, Activison and IW own it. IW isn't money hungry, Activison is. Activison prices, advertises, and distributes all things call of duty. All IW does is make the stuff. You can't judge sledgehammer when they haven't even announced there first title yet. Nope, they have said they are making a "Call of duty FPS" How would you know what they "Made" when they haven't made any game yet? I don't know how you would know if IW is near their dying breath when you know just as much as the next person about whats going on. Scratch that, less then the next person about whats going on. MW2 Brought so many new casual gamers to call of duty. If they see an ad for MW3, or hear about MW3 they are very likely to buy it. People don't realise that Modern warfare 2 is still very well received by everyone except for hardcore call of duty players. All those new players still love MW2. Im not even going to correct you about the black mailing part, cause i dont know where to begin. But with the maps, IW has many map designers that are just constantly designing maps. They don't know which call of duty they are going to be in, they dont know if they are going to be on the disc or DLC. They just design them (Besides the campaign maps.) And how were there so many glitches on the DLC maps? The only one i can think of is the Fuel rock glitch. Thats just a rumor. And it wouldn't be Tryarch that buys the domains, it would be Activison. So if activison bought it, it could be for any of the 3 cod developers. But when you consider that IW is working on MW3, TA is working on BO, that leaves us with one option. Unless if activison is just buying it for future IW projects just in case. But again, just a rumor. Alright, thats it. Hopefully that cleared up some of the questions you guys had. Sorry if i sounded like some D bag that know everything.

I did the conversions for you johnson, 8:00 pm CST= 11:00 am (Sep 2nd). I dont know what time zone in Australia your in, but if your by Sydney i picked the right one So that means you have to be up by around 10.
-
Its in LA. I would guess that it starts around 8. The first footage will probably come in by around 10. All these times are CST. The MW2 one was around that time if i remember correctly.
-
Another thing i just noticed is that in the breifing text thing with the time and location it mentions nova. Im sure this has been mentioned, but im just throwing that out there.
-
-"OPS" Faction. -Soviet Faction Those are the only ones we know right now. But there will be more revealed on September 1st for sure. There inevitably going to be a Vietcong faction too, but no confirmation. Then Possibly a SOG faction, or is the "OPS" faction the SOG equivalent? Btw, im talking about multiplayer factions, not campaign.

I was thinking about this the other day and i came up with predictions on what chance that black ops 2 would come out based on what reviews black ops gets. But then i realized that black ops is going to get good reviews no matter what. I think theres about a 90% chance of black ops 2 considering that they aren't allowed to do titles that take place later then then cold war era. And they probably aren't going to go back to WW2. And there isen't any other major wars they can cover. Of course a bunch of smaller ones, but they can't really make a way about the battle between the Republic of Congo and Thaiwan. So then there could be the oh so heavily rumored "Future warfare" which treyarch actually could do since IW is only allowed to do anything post cold war and into the near future. Which totally doesn't make sense considering what i said up there. So im just going to stop typing before i sound like even more of a idiot.

It is rumored that the Walther WA 2000 is making an appearance in black ops. It is rumored to be seen in the "Victor charlie" level. No leaked gameplay has shown up of it, yet. But i sure hope some does appear. I find this to be kinda weird considering that the WA2000 and the Dragunov are now confirmed, since in IW titles they are practically the same guns.
-
I hope they rename it to like Pimp, or Ice or something. So you go "Im usin a commando iced out with a silencer and noob tubes." Just so Zeighail gets all mad :D
-
What a coincidence! I happen to know him too, Hes my Aunts hairdressers, son-in-laws, family doctors, daughters, ex boyfriend!
-
Dalcowboy actually does have a point, you wont see them adding more attachments, guns, ect. in at this point. All they would really do from here on is balance stuff, and try to remove as many glitches as possible.

Just like that motorcycle level in the Hardened Editions concept art book And that Philadelphia helicopter concept art everyone went crazy over.

9xNCCkvV77s There is the multiplayer reveal for mw2. I can guarantee that Treyarch will have the same thing where they talk about some new features then everyone could play the multiplayer and record it. Then there were a bunch of interviews after that. Alot of things will be revealed, there's going to be a ton of gameplay to look at. Before they showed off the the multiplayer they revealed a modern warfare 2 themed xbox, so expect the same for black ops. Heres some gameplay from the mw2 event Expect nooby gamplay like that. He didn't even know how to get through glass
-
Tis thee Mac-10 like spas said. This was from OXM right? I think its just concept art, nothing to dig to deep into.
-
Well, this whole thing isen't just a video. Its an event in LA where they let people play multiplayer. I would have figured you knew this considering that your the one that posted this thread... Hmmm funny cus I can remember when MW2 did something like that where people got to play the muliplayer and they released kinda of like a montage..... The event is going to be exactly like the mw2 one. Except im almost sure they didn't release a montage.

I never said that modern warfare 2 hardcore is better. I was just talking about the game mode, not the game in general. I think that modern warfare 2 hardcore is almost as bad, but only because of how everyone uses cold blooded so killstreaks are useless. I could argue how I think IW is better, but i've already discussed that enough. Think of it this way, would you rather have teamkillers, or would you rather die when your stupid enough to shoot a team mate? If you like hardcore because of the realism, then in real life you would have to stop shooting at enemies if a friendly got in your way. Yeah you might get the occasional person that purposely tries to get shot (Never seen one personally) but which is worse? That or teamkillers?
-
How can you even play hardcore in world at war? It should be called "Seach and destroy where everyone has two lives and can be revived so they could ultimately have an unlimited amount of lives." Great title i know. Second chance is ridiculous. Pistols are almost as good as rifles, so going into second chance is just like a second life, where you can get revived. Not to mention there are so many dang campers in hardcore. Hardcore would be a good way to escape all of the MP40 juggernoobs, if it wasn't for second chance.

Phython is the .357 magnum. Snub nose is probably going to be an attachment. When a revolver is a snub nose that means that it has a shorter barrel. Like that one in goldfinger. Its probably going to increase damage or something.
-
I think thats obviously what the storyboard is for.
-
My vote goes to boxxy, i mean darknova I swear, whenever i see those two post back to back to each other i always think they are the same person.
-
We have known that WMD takes place in the ural mountains since the reveal of it in OXM magazine, which was about 2 and a half months ago. Yes, you will be invading a base. The new leaked gameplay is of this mission. As for the other one, that mission takes place in Hue city. Not germany. When i go to the gallery on callofduty.com the file names of all the images are "large.jpg" I take it that neejoh(Manager of dw24/7) Just saved the images from callofduty.com then renamed them so he knew which were which.

Its going to be like the MW2 jelly splatter based on what we have seen so far. I like the cod2 blood splatter the most out of all the cod blood splatters.

*Waits for this to get locked*

Thanks for letting us know convert. Back the the reload canceling, if you look at the part later in the video where he is reloading the Aug the ammo display says 0 until hes completely done with the animation. So its not just the AK
-
I dont get what your saying. The reload wasn't complete when he sprinted, so he had to restart.
