  1. Ah now I remember why I was looking at eclipses and radio at the same time, because there was no eclipse in September, and at the time I was certain this intel was relating to Der Riese. http://community.callofduty.com/communi ... ket-garden "Operation Market Garden could have been a nail in their coffin, but the Wehrmacht wasn't ready to lie down. Their ability to restructure their troops and refill their lines was beyond anything we imagined. After restructuring, German troops began moving north to the Netherlands and dug in deep, awaiting our arrival." One of the problems with "OMG" were radio comms. A lack of propagation amonst other things. http://www.qsl.net/ve3bdb/CommsAtArnhem.pdf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Market_Garden
  2. Great thread LD, I looked into radio and related research at the time of Der Riese. I even looked into things such as radio propogation and lunar eclipses after reading the intel Treyarch released about Hells Highway. I never came across any of this information. So thanks very much for taking the time to share, I certainly learnt something reading through this. I see you have updated the thread with info about HAARP, I will take some time to read through that as well. Again, great thread.
  3. So somone posted over on HQ an idea that the Tombestone might be a place you could save collected data, like easter egg songs that you have allready activated. Seemed like a good idea to me. Especialy if you can access the Tombestone through the pause menu. Anyways its all jus speculation :D
  4. So Treyarch have a treat for zombie fans, at least I think it is a treat? http://community.callofduty.com/community/call_of_duty/english/black_ops_2/blog/2012/10/31/happy-halloween-from-treyarch-s-zombies-team
  5. EJ you have an active and creative mind, I like how you think. I am a little concerned that green run could just be the solo for Tranzit and the community have perhaps run a little far with their creative thinking. However it would be nice if your right and there is a little more to Greenrun than I imagined. While I am here and talking about GR just wanted to say, I get a feeling Tombstone is a jukebox, awarded in solo on Tranzit to save progress and other absurd things. Oooh and Radio waves are a form of energy..
  6. AhHa thanks for pointing that out Zombie. Boy do I feel stupid.
  7. So I am kinda gutted about the Nuketown zombie map only being included with the hardened addition. However I am actualy considering pre ordering the standard edition of Black Ops II. Mainly because of Tranzit and the single player campaing, I would like to see how that story arc played out. Multiplayer looks great but I doubt I will play much. So to sum this post up, I have never pre ordered any game ever. It also beats queing up at midnight!
  8. Totaly appreciate where your coming from and I am probably just being pedantic. What I was specificaly pointing out though is that the temp gauge reads absolute zero, rather than say an ambient temperature of say closer to 300kelvin. If the temp was something to take into account, then it would be an indication of artificial cooling. This short video explains the differance between kelvin and centigrade. -OksPBid1EE I dont really get what good setting a zombie on fire thats allready happily burning will achieve for you as a player. Though in truth I cant offer any other suggestion as to what this gun is other than possibly a jet engine, unless it acts like a Winters Howl?
  9. Kinda harsh to see people gravitating towards the negative aspects of this thread rather than the positive. JZ's rock looks to have an interesting composition, almost mettalic. I am not sure about the other stones, though Syndicates looks quite matt and lusterless in appearance compared to Jimmys. Any geologists here, I would imagine someone could identify these materials just by the colour and luster.
  10. I am hesitant to make a guess as to the purpose of the gun at the end of the trailer. The RPM rise high yet the temperature stays at 0k, which is absolute zero only achievable in theory. However when you start to get down to absolute zero, quantum effects are able to be witnesed. 2Z6UJbwxBZI So I am not saying it is not a jet engine, I Just find it strange that the temp dial is in kelvin and has not budged from zero, maybe this has something to do with the fog we see. Ahh it probably is a jet engine, at least we wont have to wait long to find out.
  11. I keep reading the tile of this thread as "Bubble Machine", I really need to get my eye's tested. This thread has a lot of potentiol, but we should resist the temptation to make assertations before fully understanding the nature of these blue prints. Anywho looking forward to finding out more when the game releases.
  12. I was not going to buy BOII until I saw Transzit. Now I am considering a purchase, but I will wait untill the game is out and have watched a few Ytube vids. The Nuketown map sounds great, but on principle; I cannot justify an extra £20 for a single Z map. Everything else in the Hardened edition has no value to me personaly and offer nothing in terms of additional gameplay or experience. I feel that this descision to only include Nuketown Z with the Hardened edition is a sad continuation of extorsionist marketing practices. Such as only being able to purchase Moon with the classic maps @1200MSP. IMHO not very good value for money. Given the size of Transit, I think that map alone will keep my interest for quite some time should I to eventualy purchase BOII. Suit yourself. Nuketown Zombies is a reward for players who are dedicated enough to pre-order and willing to pay an extra $20, which you're clearly not Also, really? Treyarch releases all Black Ops map packs with 1 zombie map at 1200MSP and you pick on the one that gives you FIVE for that price? I posted because I do not agree with the language I see being used here. The suggestion of Alphas comment is that if you do not purchase Hardened, you are not a true CODZ member. Obviously I strongly disagree. A choice to purchase a product should not be based on a false sense of allegience to a group or due to imposed peer pressure. I was careful to indicate that the value of the content in the Hardened edition was my personal opinion. I appreciate that someone who might have purchased these items seperatly would feel they are good value for money to purchase them together at a slight discount. However, I would suggest that the majority of people if offered the chance to purchase Nuketown Zombies seperatly for say 400MSP, without the other content they are currently forced to purchase to aquire Nuketown Zombies; would jump at the chance. Now back to the use of language. Nuketown Zombies is not a reward. You are paying for it. You are paying around £20 to purchase this map. The rest of the content in the Hardened edition offers no gameplay or experience in the traditional sence. Even if you can somehow attribute some intrinsic value to the rest of the Hardened package content, you are still paying for the Nuketown Zombies map. Your suggestion that I lack dedication to the franchise, well this reminds me of sales tactics that manipulate language to manipulate perception, which in the end is truth. Rather like the use of statistics that sold Nuketown as everyones favourite BO map. Seriously? Does anyone think double XP Nuketown 247 and quick ranking might have affected those stats slightly? I sincerely hope that Nuketown Zombies turns out to be an awesome map. I really do not want to be reading threads on HQ made by kids who feel ripped off, when they were just dedicated to the franchise  With regards the Moon map pack, I just noted the similarity between the marketing methods used for Moon and the Hardened edition. Package something a large number of people wish to purchase with something that many of those people probably would not purchase if given the option. Dont give them the option, and make more money than you would if you gave people an option. This tactic does remind me of the sub prime mortgages fiasco in the banking sector You will have to take into consideration that I like a lot of people allready owned the classic maps after purchasing them for W@W buy buying 3 full priced map packs. While this did offer an opportunity for those who had played these maps previously to purchase them, a few "dedicated" players felt left out in the cold.

  14. Do you hear the voices, music to dance to rasp88nbsRw Kelvin, a swell guy. K4sOfGKEaxs You Have No Power Over Me BA'AL tA7ZpYv9VyY All speculation of course
  15. I am with Quantum. 22nd sounds good.
  16. A found a few little things about V. Bush, though I doubt they are relevant at all. V. Bush envisioned what we might now call the internet; in am idea framed as the Memex. [youtube:4qoc10g4]c539cK58ees[/youtube:4qoc10g4] He wrote an article called "As we may think" that outlined the idea of the Memex. It can be found here, quite short and to the point. http://web.mit.edu/STS.035/www/PDFs/think.pdf I guess there is a slight parallel seeing as how we log onto an early type DOS system to view trails of information using V. Bushes login. I got nothing on UFO's though, soz.

  18. From memory the Winters Howl is a one hit kill to the Pentagon thief. It might need to be upgraded; I cant remember for sure.
  19. Maybe Menedez is the son of Woods.. this gives significance to the pendant, it belonged to his mother; given by Woods. Menendez returns it to Woods, you know; hello pappy :)
  20. … Come, my friends, 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world. Push off, and sitting well in order smite The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths Of all the western stars, until I die. It may be that the gulfs will wash us down; It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles, And see the great Achilles, whom we knew http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulysses_(poem)
  21. $300.0000 dollars for an RC helicopter that could probably be built for one third of the price or less with off the shelf parts, stinks of backhanders and prefered contractors getting preferentiol treatment. I wonder if the Sherrifs department even has a bidding arrangment in place to secure the best value for money to the taxpayer? I would also place a bet that the Sherrifs department is now locked into a maintenance contract with http://vanguarddefense.com/productsservices/uavs/ for at least a few years. Which will probably be very lucrative, for someone. Vangaurd Defence. I wonder if they are owned by a larger Corparation?
  22. Well I am truly sorry to hear your cable bill has gone up So what are you going to do about it ? JLdA1ikkoEc For those calling for Revolution, look at say, Iraq. Even with occupying forces and billions of funding from their own oil fields, they are far worse off than when under Saddams regime. America would suffer a worse fate, sectarian violence would be the norm; private armys for the rich....the list is endless. Make a little list of your own, why dont you? If you really want a revolution, get educated, create communitys and get involved.
  23. I did not think the Classified section of the site was designed for a viral impact. If it was designed for that purpose, maybe we have missed something. I found the information on Tacticus.com far more interesting than the reveal, even though it is not related. Anywho, the reveal effort seemed to lack the expected glitz that we, I believe have come to expect. Also the classified section still has unrevealed panels, maybe they did not get the expected responce and decided to cull the original plan, if there was one. In hindsight, it does all seem a little strange :?
