  1. I agre with a couple of people across this forum that we shouldn't change the mystery box. It is pretty much the only thing (apart from the zombies) that has been featured in every map and to change the way it works, even slightly, would make the game feel different. However, I think that there should be like a 'Pro Box' which has, say, a 1/10 or 1/15 chance of spawning instead of the regular mystery box, and it only contains Assault Rifles, LMGs and Wonder Weapons, none of that other crap I always end up getting like the PM63 or the Dragunov. They are like the most common weapons for me to get, I always seem to get one or the other (if not both) at some point during a game. It could cost like 1200-1500 to open instead and would be decorated with the PAP camo. Admit that it would look cool 8-) And adding the DG-2 again would be cool but it wouldn't fit in with the storyline (unless the characters travel back in time to before the events at Der Riese) because we know it overloaded the MDT and presumably exploded or got left behind in Der Riese. Plus Richtofen is the only one who knows how to make it and he'd need Element 115 to do so, meaning that we would need a map based in a location of Element 115 for a return by the DG-2 to be plausible.
  2. I also think that FIVE is connected indirectly to the storyline. I agree with you in thinking that FIVE is like an aftermath of the whole story- because it's predetermined that the characters will not stop the zombies. After all it is a survival mode, first and foremost, and so the only thing that we know when starting a game of zombies is that we will eventually die (unless you quit mid-game, in which case you are a ballistic spoon unless your teammates are noobs. Then it is funny). I also think that zombies will eventually move over to America. I think now that we've had Germany, Japan and Russia (Ascension) as maps it's safe to say that the biggest chunk of the world (mainland Europe, and Asia) has been overrun and so America and possibly England will be the last ones standing in the end because they are seperated from the entire mainland (well England, just barely) where the apocalypse has already occured. This is foreshadowed by how the speculative aftermath takes place in the Pentagon and involves the apparant death of some of the most important people in America at that time (excluding JFK because we know he was killed by Mason, so JFK obviously survived the events at FIVE). The fact that they lost is a sign that the fight is over and the zombies had won. All because of those friggin' Nazis. Basically I agree with almost every word you typed and I am just expanding on your theory.
  3. A perk that saves other perks when you go down would be really helpful, I'd buy it But I doubt they would make a perk which would let you jump higher, would open up too many opportunities to glitch. Plus, if PhD Flopper really means a 'master at falling', then not losing your perks when you 'fall' and go down would apply to the name well.
  4.   Round 39  I was on solo and I was on round 39, and I waited too long before using my last nuke- the zombies hit me while the nuke was falling I swear to god I will beat that Silverback soon.
  5. There could be more scattered around the map, we just haven't found them yet. No matter how you look at it, Treyarch have done a much better job of hiding the secrets this time around. Surely there is at least one little thing we've missed out. Wow- I bet Treyarch are reading this and trying so hard to resist telling us that it's making them almost explode.
  6. Personally, I'm starting to get annoyed with everyone moaning about any map that isn't laid out like Der Riese was. Sure it was a great map, probably the best to date, but part of the fun of zombies was the mixing-and-matching of the different maps. I mean, first we have a bunker, then an asylum, then a swamp, then a research facility and now a theatre? Each map has it's own unique feel to it but the problem here is so many people only like maps that are massive with lots of space to run around. Sure, they're fun but it's getting to the point where it's becoming a little repetitive. What I want from Ascension is something completely new that we haven't seen before (besides Soviet zombies? :?. Verruckt is still my second favourite map because of how the team starts off seperated. It was a great, unique idea and I'd like to see more ideas like that implemented into future maps. FIVE is also one of my preferred maps. It practically took what we'd come to call zombie mode and threw it out the window by completely changing the way we played the mode. And I agree that we are missing something in FIVE. I have a gut feeling that it is more significant to the story than we think.
  7. Thanks for taking notice and doing something about it, I really appreciate it And to all the trolls telling me to get an Xbox, well I could tell you plenty of things you need but I don't want to get told off for offensive comments. I couldn't care less if you're telling me to get an Xbox. I don't want one right now and don't currently plan on getting one. When the next generation of consoles come out (Xbox 720 and PS4??) I'll rethink that but right now I'm happy with my PS3 (thanks to some of the awesome exclusives I own). Don't try and start a flame war. You wouldn't like it if our positions had been reversed. Once again, thanks so much Carbon and all of the mods, greatly appreciated :D
  8. Treyarch = Infinty Ward Treyarch = Treyarch Infinity Ward = Infinity Ward I got an A* (A+) in my Maths exam so don't question me 2 = 9 :)
  9. I've had some instances where I've posted a thread in a less-popular section of the website and it hasn't appeared on the homepage. I would greatly appreciate it if there could just be like a Spoilers Section where First Strike discussion threads could be moved to. Well fair do's, but isn't there some way to keep the stuff off of the homepage? Because I'm not being funny but if I go onto the homepage and see a thread titled "How to kill the Silverback on Ascension" or "The Secret Room in the Rocket!" or something I'll be more than annoyed. Just go directly to callofdutyzombies.com/forum? And if you dont want to see the finds dont check them? Well, I could do that, but I have the homepage saved in my favourites and I click it on there by force of habit, sorry for being awkward ol' me And not clicking the finds doesn't prevent the thread titles having spoilers in them. Read the quote of myself above and you'll get what I mean.
  10. Well fair do's, but isn't there some way to keep the stuff off of the homepage? Because I'm not being funny but if I go onto the homepage and see a thread titled "How to kill the Silverback on Ascension" or "The Secret Room in the Rocket!" or something I'll be more than annoyed.
  11. The only problem with this idea is that Carbon would never be able to make an enitrely new forum in 10 days before First Strike becomes available for download. Maybe for future map packs, but right now that idea's out of the window. Brains anyway because it was a good idea [brains] EDIT: You'll get your brains as soon as I can give them, [brains]
  12. LOL. I saw the monkey and Zombie King Kong instantly came to mind. Don't worry- inside joke. But seriously, it looks okay. Considering you made it in about 10-15 minutes because you were bored it's pretty decent. Nice work.
  13. We all know by now that Xbox users are getting the Black Ops DLC a month early. I've accepted this, but there's one pestering thought that's been bugging me. I've already made several comments about this and I even sent you a PM about this and you never replied to me: During the month that only Xbox users will have the DLC, they'll completely search every detail and find every easter egg and secret there is in Ascension, plus they will post it all here as well as pictures, videos, strategies and all that lot. This is annoying me because this will really make the PS3 community seem useless at this forum. By the time PS3 users have the DLC all the secrets will have been found. This is inevitable, I know, but there's something I really think needs to be done here. You're not going to like this, but what I'm suggesting is that you don't let the Xbox community post anything about Ascension during the month the PS3 community doesn't have the First Strike map pack. If you guys spam this site with thread after thread about Ascension then it'll be spoiled for us. I don't want my first time on the map spoiled for me and I'm sure if our positions were reversed you'd say the same thing. It's like the leaked footage of Kino der Toten. But, just because it doesn't apply to you, does that mean it isn't the same? No. It is the same thing, and it isn't right in my eyes. If you care, you'll do something about this. The local ranter- Jackyboy1384
  14. One thing I noticed is that the white pawn that has almost been queened, well if this is the Teddy's side of the game then who is controlling the black pieces? Sam's good side? I'll go with that for now. The chess game is like a battle for dominance over Sam's mind and thoughts, as well as the character's fates. The Teddy is so close to winning ("Death so close that I can taste it", Beauty of Annihilation) but if it moves it's key piece forward another space, Sam's knight (a representation of god knows what) can capture it, thus stopping the evil Teddy. Jesus I sound like a twat. This means that Sam and the Teddy will be even, with a King, a pawn and a knight each. This is clearly showing that the battle is almost over, and there is still no clear winner. It'll most likely be a stalemate if Sam succeeds in stopping the Teddy from queening the pawn. So then what will happen to Sam's consciousness? So many questions... but slowly I'm putting the pieces of the puzzle together in my head (thank god for Professor Layton strengthening my mind).
  15. Oh cool, so Uncharted 2 got a score of 10.5 Well, it deserves it anyway. Don't know why it didn't get a 10 when there was almost no criticism for it at all. But I'm getting off-topic. Oh wait, I don't have any on-topic stuff to say.
  16. False: Verruckt does contain ties to the storyline. The writing on the walls? Including the date of the Tunguska Meteor event? There is some relevance there, just not enough for us to have noticed that Treyarch were making a secret storyline. Maybe, just maybe, if we had caught on straight away then we would not have fallen behind and would be more 'on top' of the storyline. And, believe it or not, I believe that there is more to NDU than meets the eye. One time I will have to completely write out my WHOLE theory on EVERYTHING I've gathered from the basic info in the games e.g. radios, the terminal and character quotes, not all this scientific stuff that everyone posts that is very fascinating but doesn't develop the storyline in any way whatsoever. You guys wait, one day I'll do it.
  17. Is it okay to camp if your thumbs are too sore to use the analog sticks and move? To those of you who thought 'Yes', you wouldn't even be playing Black Ops if you had sore thumbs. Lololololololololol. But seriously, camping is starting to annoy me too. I can understand camping with a sniper rifle but anything else is just no. Nonono. I especially hate it when you have the "campers in denial" as I call them trying to camp on Nuketown. Like, seriously? It's the smallest map on the game, you twat. Not flaming, just quoting myself.
  18. IF you are going to quote something, at least get it right, thank you. Treyarch have never said that, they did however say in their tour of Treyarch video part 3 (2 years old) they actually said "we are not even close" however you are probably talking the much quoted (wrongly quoted) "it's right in front of us" this was not said by anyone from treyarch, this was said by Crop Circles, from the official cod forums. Actually, "The answer is right in front of you" was a quote from JD_2020, who's the Community Manager at Treyarch (I think?). And I'm pretty sure he was referring to the picture of Kino on the Der Riese boards. Though I do agree with you that we are missing something in FIVE, and there must be a secret or two left in Kino as well. FIVE is obviously connected at least loosely to the storyline, which we know from the downstairs labs containing a Ray Gun, an MDT teleporter and the picture of Edward and the mystery person in the PAP room. However, I don't think we'll be seeing JFK and the crew returning to zombies with the more modernized maps (which are certain).
  19. I can finally be of some use in this thread... The building reflected in the clock seems to have a resemblence to Shi No Numa? Am I the only one who sees it?
  20. I think I'm seeing a pattern here... Good idea though, problem is that we would need a REALLY skilled team to pull this off. I think there's still a BIG secret in Kino that we haven't uncovered yet, and probably won't once Ascension is released. You saw what happened with SNN, there were a few secrets we didn't notice because we were too busy sniffing around Der Riese ravenous for new easter eggs, Come on we're CoDz, we need to make sure it doesn't happen again
  21. Yep, I just tried it in the CIA and Dreamland servers... no results I think that actually says 'ER', not 'KR'. ER would obviously refer to Richtofen (though how he'd be alive in 1975 is a mystery considering we've seen him die on the iPod zombies tutorial), but what does FS mean? Could this be a new character or is it someone we already know and are just forgetting?
  22. I like the Bowie Knife idea on the online strategy, would make a lot of points in those early rounds My general (terrible) strategy for solo is: Stay in first room until the end of round 3 using nothing but the M1911 (only shoot on round 3, knife for rounds 1-2) and at the end of round 3 (or when you have one zombie left) open up all the way to the MP40 and camp in the room until dogs come. Open up to the stage, buy Claymores and camp there until either you get the teddy bear (depending on initial box spawn) or start to get overrun by the zombies. Then, turn on power and run around the rooms already opened until you either desperately need the box or until 3rd dog wave (must have bought Juggernog by this point) and then open up everything else and run counterclockwise around the map. At this point the strategy becomes almost identical to yours. My online strategy... well I don't have one because Kino players are usually MW2 noobs who have no idea what they're doing.
  23. Thats why im waiting for the next game treyarch makes Hopefully Reznov is there not to hurt u but... reznov is dead =/ thats why he was a hallucination to mason. didnt u hear from that guy , the interrogator, he said that reznov died trying to escape the jail thing. remember in campaign? wen reznov and mason broke out? and wen mason got on the train? leaving reznov driving the car? thats where he died. Not to hurt you but it's obvious that you haven't looked any deeper than the campaign. Like I said, no offense but you just haven't realised how much more there actually is to Reznov. The hidden codes say "Reznov is dead or is he no body was found is he who he says he is". Meaning that it's possible that Reznov is alive. :)
  24. I won't hate on your typing but could you possibly write in a colour that is perhaps readable against the black background? Just sayin' :| Back on-topic, well I'd like to believe you, considering how well thought out this whole story was, but we've just seen too many fakers to be able to believe you now just because you put some effort into it. You had some good ideas in there though, some I'd perhaps like to see implemented into Ascension. Besides, if you'd really played on Ascension you'd have immediately posted all of the details, instead of posting like a paragraph every other day or something- it just makes it obvious that you're trying to think up what will be in the next room and make a map of it. Sorry but perhaps if you'd made a crawler and got a photo or a recording of this all of us would have believed you. Sorry. :?
  25. What I really want to know is what's on the picture behind the "giant monster" picture. If it's on the same newspaper article as the thing about Ludwig's village then it must have some relevance. From what I can make out I think I see a man sitting in a chair, then again the pic is such bad quality when I crop it and increase the size that it could well be an overgrown toaster and I wouldn't notice.
