Ascension Clue in Final Cutscene from the campaign.
Jackyboy1384 replied to MARKSIE's topic in Ascension
I think "You must ascend from darkness" is the key theme for the NZ storyline and the Black Ops campaign. I'm not saying the two are related (though in some ways they are) but think about it- the campaign saw Mason fight from the lowest cell in Vorkuta to assaulting a hidden enemy base with a helicopter. He was ascending from the darkness he had been thrown into, and he was also 'ascending' from the darkness implanted inside his own head by Dragovich, Kravchenko and Steiner, fighting the urges to assassinate JFK (though in the end it is implied that Mason actually did assassinate him). Whereas in zombies, I think I remember reading a theory someone posted on this forum before, in that the Earth is 'the darkness' and the characters must ascend from Earth, be it in death, or in a rocket. I think what this is meant to symbolize is that, when you take away Sam, Group 935, the Illuminati, element 115 and everything else in the storyline, Nazi Zombies is a survival game that only comes to an end when you die. The only way for it all to end is for you to ascend from the darkness into heaven (or hell, in Edward's case). -
I completely agree, I was so upset when he died- it'd be different if it was just any other soldier but the fact that he was the character you played as through WWII, the one who survived the Salingrad massacre, being hunted by the German army, being captured for 2 years, almost being flooded in the Berlin underground system and storming the Reichstag makes it so much deeper on a personal level, because it's like you're seeing yourself die. He even survived a pistol shot straight in the chest on the roof of the Reichstag about 5 feet away from assuring the Russian's total invasion of Berlin, for christ's sake! Yet he dies in an experiment? If I were Reznov I'd want Dragovich dead too. The good point is that Reznov supposedly survived as he was my favourite character throughout both games. :)

It's likely that JFK's crew wouldn't live much longer even if they did teleport after Five, because they don't have resilience to the side effects of 115 like Dempsey, Nikolai and Takeo do (expecting Richtofen to zombify from 115 side-effects soon, possibly strengthened resilience due to daily exposure to the element?). This means that JFK and the others are likely to zombify eventually anyway.

Haven't thought of a name for the map pack. Second Strike? Deck- Pretty much the same as your suggested map 'Rusalka' Nukedtown- The remains of Nuketown after the nuke, just rubble and debris and stuff Vorkuta- Based on the prison in Vorkuta, can't remember if it already has an MP map on it or what :?: Baikondour (spelling?)- Based on the Baikondour Cosnodrome in SP, again sorry if it already has a map I forgot  Zombie Map: Verdammt- German for 'damned', set in Groom Lake Facility, just north of Area 51, American zombies (side-effects of 115 zombified them), characters get there via Ascension's rumoured rocket.

Sadly I don't know anything about Morse Code. But keep commenting and this thread may be noticed by someone who can Of course, like you said, it may just be a faulty light.

So come February, we'll need people to be searching every last nook and cranny of the starting room for an interactable easter egg. Sadly I can't help because I have a PS3 See? I shouldn't be upset because I don't have an Xbox. Activision have made a wrong move for the community here (not saying anything about the business itself). Whatever, off-topic. Based on where the map is, we might just be able to guess what we're looking for, or we might even find it without trying. I found the meteor on Kino in the starting room with no real effort at all, I just noticed a glass case and wondered what it was. I heard the same noise that came from the skull canisters in Der Riese so I held square and hey presto! This was BEFORE I even knew (or should we say, remembered) about the easter egg song.

Has any one actually talked about the blackboard?
Jackyboy1384 replied to Hiphopmike's topic in Kino Der Toten
If it's the EXACT same blackboard as the one in der riese, can we imply that rictofen and maxis were doing the same thing in der riese as they were in kino, but with different variables? Yes, Group 935 were experimenting in a bunch of different places including Kino: "Maybe this station will hold the key to the real goals of Group 935." This is also backed up by Edward's comment on the gas crawlers: "These must be the failed experiments Maxis was talking about!" I think it's safe to say that Group 935 were continuing their experiments in Kino before it got destroyed and abandoned. Maybe the radio transmission to Peter was from Kino instead of Der Riese? "You must know by now that we failed to contain the asylum, and we had to move the experiments here." -
I just realised something obvious, but I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this yet either: In the terminal, we have a file which describes how Tank, Nikolai and Takeo are extraordinary outliers during the experiments and show some sort of resilience to the side effects of 115, meaning they'd be able to use the weapons like the Ray Gun, DG-2 and the Thundergun. HOWEVER, it says nothing about Richtofen being resilient to 115. Now, in Der Riese, we have some writing hidden under a disappearing brick which says something like "but who could use such power without themselves turning...". This is referring to Tank, Nikolai and Takeo not "turning" into zombies from using the wonder weapons. However, seeing as Richtofen has no immunity, he could be likely to zombify soon (iPod Nacht Der Untoten tutorial?). This would open up room for a new character who is key to the storyline. Also, because people like Dempsey's Verruckt crew and JFK's crew have no immunity, they will inevitably zombify too, meaning that there will be no expected appearances from JFK's crew and we know Peter and this John Banana guy are also dead. This would explain the soldier named 'Smokey' in John's limerick from the Verruckt archive which states how he once knew a soldier named Smokey "who slapped me on the head and awoke me" but John discovered he was already dead and so cut off his head. Smokey zombified, and John also did. Peter probably zombified while trying to escape Verruckt (grave in SNN iPod version) and Dempsey was rescued and taken in for testing at Der Riese. Wow, that turned into an essay, didn't it

Has any one actually talked about the blackboard?
Jackyboy1384 replied to Hiphopmike's topic in Kino Der Toten
The reason no one has commented about it is that it is EXACTLY the same to the blackboard on Der Riese. Go on google and check it out- the markings are exactly the same. Oh well, well done for trying anyway ;) -
How come no one else has commented on this idea yet? It's a great idea! A perk which tells you how many zombies are left in a round would really come in handy in later rounds when you need crawlers. Good thinking! Like the idea of Sprint-Aid as well, although you should just call it Sprintade (lemonade, cherryade, you get me?). The RC would be difficult to use considering you'd have to temporarily give up control of your character to use it, but I say it could be worth a shot, and a pro box doesn't sound like a bad idea either- but instead of having it as a seperate box, it could sometimes appear instead of the normal box? It could be glowing or gold or something, and it could have, like, a 15% chance of spawning in instead of the regular box? And it could cost more money, like you said. And a Wonder Weapon I'd still like to see added is a fire gun which creates a wall of fire for about 10-15 seconds, which instantly kills zombies and the player who made it (unless they have Juggernog) and hurts teammates if they run through it. It would add even more chances for tactical gameplay in zombies and would make things all the more interesting! PAP'ed, it could make the wall longer and last for about 30-40 seconds, and not instantly kill the player who made it? There's got to be someone else who agrees that this would be a great addition to zombies!

Good observation! So, if a character WAS to leave the group, like some forum dwellers are speculating, it'd most likely be Richtofen. Shame, he's my favourite character  Oh well, at least we'll still have Nikolai.

OMG HE WAS RIGHT Ascension GLTICH?!*EDITED WITH PICS*

NICE find, great work mate You deserve a medal! BTW, to embed a video just add the random code after the ?v= bit, example, for that video you would put 8aFbbss9mN0 in between the youtube symbol thingys: 8aFbbss9mN0 Unfortunately we still don't know if D-BLOCK was telling us the truth or not. His story sounds a lot more well thought out and believable than this one did, but now that this is proven fake (and we will probably never hear from this guy again) it makes it sound a whole lot less likely that D-BLOCK was telling the truth. -
Give it time, there are obviously going to be new easter eggs in Ascension and we have obviously not found all of the easter eggs in Kino or Five yet.

Got to round 34 on Solo for the first time this morning. Getting closer and closer to the Cosmic Silverback but damn, those hellhound/wolf things are difficult! Though to be fair, I only died because I pressed 'Speed Boost' instead of 'Nuke' in panic

Nice observations! Pretty interesting things to know next time I play on Kino. And the grenades are probably stronger because in the WaW maps we had Steilhangranates whereas now we have frag grenades I think. And with the PAP'ed Ray Gun on crawlies, well, are you sure this isn't just because you were at a higher round once you had PAP'ed the Ray Gun? And I LOLd at the Teddy stealing your Ballistic Knife, and at how the Gas Zombies have to use ramps to get up the stage, and at Nikolai's shoulderless arm. But with the portrait of 'Young Richtofen', I hope you aren't referring to the blank portrait because it's obvious that Richtofen (Edward) is the one next to Takeo. Takeo does not swear because swearing is a sign of lack of HONOUR!
-
I'm just waiting for someone to start saying that we will have Zombie Hitler or Nazi Aliens or Nazi Crocodiles chasing us at round 100. NO. I doubt anything special will happen at all, considering nothing ever happened before.

There's not going to be a MP4 for WaW, this much should be obvious to anyone and everyone. Kino Der Toten was supposed to be in the MP4, but it was cancelled due to the release date being too close to MW2 (in other words, IW went crying to the Activision 'big boys' aobut it). If Area 51 is a part of the Groom Lake Facility, then a map there could be fully possible. The maps all seem to be based on places which contain 115, and the three remaining maps on the list in the terminal are Tunguska, Groom Lake Facility and the Moon. Check this video out, this guy claims to have played the 'First Strike' maps before INCLUDING Ascension: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn6YyaGdOOY The information on Ascension that he gives sounds realistic for a zombie map, though I noticed that he never mentioned a mainframe, meaning he is either lying or our heroes got underground some other way, though I doubt there would be any other way to get from an abandoned Nazi Theatre to Baikondour Cosmodrome (spelling?) without teleportation so quickly. Maybe it was so dark he didn't notice it. The fact that this guy says you start underground also ties in with what D-BLOCK and the others claiming to have played Ascension are saying. And, instead of dog rounds, we have "Cosmic Monkeys" chasing after us? Hmm... The rocket that we can launch is what catches my interest the most- seems like a perfectly valid way for MP2 to actually be set ON the moon (though how we would have zombies up there, I have no idea). Wow, that simple comment turned into an off-topic essay. I'm sorry. Either way, Area 51 is still a possibilty but for now that's all it is. We may find further clues in Ascension when it is released.

Well here's the deal: IW created CoD. So without them we wouldn't have Black Ops or ZOMBIES! CoD 4 was the best Call of Duty game by far because it explored completly new ground for not just the CoD series, but for almost any shooter EVER. That game brought the whole shooter genre in games forward to the modern-day. I wasn't a big fan of it back then because it was only the second CoD game I'd ever brought and back then I wasn't fussed at all by the series. Now I appreciate and like it a lot more. WaW was a great farewell to the WWII era in shooter games, and Nazi Zombies is the reason that Treyarch and WaW are really so popular even though some don't like to admit it. MW2, well that game was good for a couple of months. It brought something new to the series, especially customizable killstreaks which was the best addition IW has ever made. Problem is, IW doesn't care enough about the community to patch all the problems and bugs it had, or prevent all the noob tactics that ruined the game. They barely patched ANYTHING in CoD 4 or MW2, which is why Treyarch became so popular because they actually DID patch most things (although they still haven't fixed the damn MP40 and probably never will). And now we're up to Black Ops. IW are good at creating games, probably better than Treyarch when it comes to MP and MAYBE Campaign mode. The problem is, IW and Activision look at their sales and say, "Right, the game is obviously perfect seeing as we haven't gotten any complaints in a whole 3 hours since release, so we don't need to patch anything." Whereas Treyarch get complaints and deal with the problems as soon as possible. This is why I get annoyed with IW, because their heads are so far up their own asses that they can't see just how filled with problems MW2 actually was.

Thundergun/ZuesCannon cant aim down sights.
Jackyboy1384 replied to Code is me's topic in Kino Der Toten
That word on the side of the Thundergun... I think it's in Russian? What does it translate to? Of course, it might just be 'Thundergun' but someone should check just in case... And I agree with weehammy97, the recoil WOULD break your face. -
Lmao at the ammo on the guy's guns in that video But cool easter egg, I guess. This is probably fortelling the 'rocket' on Ascension that we can apparently launch (which could actually make it possible for MP2 to be on the moon?).

Such a shame that it's gotten past the time when being that high prestige made you a saddo... oh well. I don't buy CoD games for the MP anyway, I always like to be different and it's no exception how I rarely play MP, which is pretty much what the CoD series is built around now. I know that the rumoured MW3 would be focused on MP and not giving two f***s about anything else, so I hope that the CoD by Sledgehammer Games brings something new and enjoyable to the series. Back on-topic, I think I know what's going on with how CoD games are getting less and less popular. It's that Activision has milked every bit they can get out of this franchise, but because there are still people out there who would buy a freaking Barbie game if you stuck 'Call of Duty' on the front cover, Activision won't stop the series. To be honest, my hopes are riding on the Sledgehammer Games CoD. It's rumoured to bring something different to the CoD series, and if it doesn't then I may well stop playing (unless Treyarch don't conclude the zombie story, not that we don't have enough parts to put this 10,000 piece puzzle together) CoD games all together, because I've wasted enough of my life getting fed up with MP and quitting after just barely prestiging once.

OMG HE WAS RIGHT Ascension GLTICH?!*EDITED WITH PICS*
Jackyboy1384 replied to japattak10's topic in Ascension
Im pretty sure that in one of his reply posts he said that he had trouble getting the photos up on here from his phone. So with you saying that he said he got in there twice i never saw him say anything like that in any of his posts. I don't actually remember reading anything about his phone, but maybe I just missed it, I dunno :| And what I meant was that, if he'd gotten into the map and not taken photos (which I thought he originally hadn't, hence "EDITED with photos"), then he'd have noticed that no one believed him and that they wanted photos, meaning he'd have to get back into the map to get them. you get me? -
No proof? Then as far as I'm concerned, this is fake. If this was actually possible, then the codes for the Cosmic Silverback would be in the game's coding and some hacker would have found them by now. Don't believe everything your friends tell you.

OMG HE WAS RIGHT Ascension GLTICH?!*EDITED WITH PICS*
Jackyboy1384 replied to japattak10's topic in Ascension
I don't believe this at all. It looks like there's a Python in this guy's hand, but anyone could photoshop one in. And there's just one thing I noticed. Sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to be a smartass here, but: If you "edited this thread" with pics, then how come you didn't just put the pics up straight away? If you had them, why did you wait and see if we believed you BEFORE posting them? I think this was a modded map or something, as you would have waited to see if we believed you before going to get photos. If you were telling the truth, you'd have pics up like instantly. Doesn't take muich to transfer a pic from a phone to a computer. You obviously played on a modded map that looked exactly like a zombie map, otherwise you'd have never been able to get into it twice to get the pics, which, had you been able to do, you would have posted a walkthrough on HOW. I call fake. -
