unFiction figured it out like an hour and a half ago.
-
That's what it looks like, except twice that size.
-
It's 10:30 PM (UTC-5) on May 10, 2010 and GKNOVA6.com has changed.
-
I wasn't saying that the email or the comment was written by a troll. I was saying that your logic was flawed. But now as I look back, it appears that I misunderstood your post and your logic wasn't flawed at all. My apologies. We did, however, already know about the comment. http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29308

I figured out why the key was freedoma and not freedomseven or simply freedom. Our PM intended to use the key freedom7. They must have used a Vigenère encoder that doesn't shift numerals. The letter A also does not shift when used in a key (for instance, "samplesamplesample" encoded with the key "bacadaea" results in every other letter not being shifted). Therefore, it appears that the key was freedoma when the PM wanted it to be freedom7.

Excellent point. You have demonstrated the flaw in BBS' logic: Namely, any random user can leave a message ending in EOM while also not being legit. Also, that comment on Azure's flickr is six days old and everybody knows about it. [[Also, carbonfibah, release the IP address so we can be certain who the person is. We promise we won't DDoS him. Promise.]]

Give them time. The game is not over. Bender6 of Unfiction has received word from NOVA 6:
-
I find that very unlikely. The fact that the two servers are located in the same town does not mean that they are inextricably connected.
-
No. The voice in the video and the voice on GKNOVA6 sound very different. The voice in the video sounds significantly higher than the one on GKNOVA6.
-
I suspect that, if there is a login box to find, Treyarch would have the sense to thoroughly obfuscate it. Otherwise, that makes them atrocious game developers.
-
There were no images in that older .swf file.

Files.jpg (the bottom-left corner of the document) is a jpegRAR. Contained are two files. One, file2.jpg, is identical to files.jpg. Another is file2.txt which is really super long. I've Pastebin'd it here. (To open it as a .rar archive, just rename files.jpg to files.rar and open it.)
-
The document is likely about nerve agent testing. Don't forget about the mentions of tabun, sarin, and soman. Also, not everything is decoded. We still need the password for the .pdf file in the .rar archive.
-
I'm fairly certain this document is about nerve agent testing.

xjjf://hqfytixqhu.sec/vybui/384014383/vybui.zfw is http://rapidshare.com/files/384014383/files.jpg after you ROT 10 it. It's the bottom-left corner of our document.
-
SUP GUYS So you ROT 10 the cipher: yyuahrnqyf hcgi vxmly navgu ulli xmixo to get: iiekrbxaip rmqs fhwvi xkfqe evvs hwshy and then you use the key freedoma: dragonlady nine three three zero eight that is all EDIT: Or you could ROT 16 the key and use that to decipher the cipher. That's probably the way we were supposed to do it.

We're on IRC, Internet relay chatting about GKNOVA6: irc.chat-solutions.org #gknova6 If you have Firefox, click this link to go directly to it.

It's Kaltern from unFiction.
-
It still says 5+5=10, FREEDOM=7, 5+5=10 twice.
-
Hm. Good point. I suppose we haven't technically "seen" it (although I'm almost certain it was posted on unFiction), but Shizzire mentioned it here. I think the term Alternate Reality Game implies that it's a game.
-
Yes, we have all seen it; I'm certainly looking for a way to unlock a password entry box. But at the same time, decompiling the Flash file feels like cheating. Let's try to solve it legitimately before we resort to scouring the code. Also, the whole merchandise-fits-into-the-cipher-perfectly is likely a coincidence. I've just tried using the Caesar box cipher to no avail. It's also not a simple Caesar cipher.

if only we could figure out how to get to one of those screens... maybe since they are trying there hardest to draw our attention to the screen; moving the wire, making it bigger, we could access it by doing something outside the screen like type a code on the keyboard or something that doesn't involve the video. I've been trying things like that. Typing possible keywords like Bellaso or Girolamo Ruscelli. Or numbers. I even tried the Konami code. It's a good thing to keep in mind, in my opinion. EDIT: If we get a series of numbers from one through five, we should try going to those transmissions in that order.

I'm pretty sure it's actually Report No: NOVA.SR 2010032. I've included the image just to see if it's just me.
-
Most likely not. Sig Giovan is just a part of the title of that writing by that guy.
-
Yes.
