Thats how it went with my friend who's a Ninja. We play World at War A LOT, Both of us have around 25 days of gametime( :shock: ). Anyway, I HEART the Thompson and I have used it since my very first game. Its my number one for kills. Ninja always said he didn't like the Thompson, until one day(after tenth prestige) he picked it up off my dead body and Killed the Entire enemy team in a Hardcore Search Round. Since that Day, I'm pretty sure its been his Favorite Gun Also. He tells me now that he didn't know how to use it before, It actually takes a some skill.

I really hope it works out like that, But I seriously doubt that it will. If the Killstreaks go higher than 7, and if there are controllable killstreak rewards, All that this "solution" will do Is encourage all the douchers to Camp THAT Much Harder. If their killstreak-kills don't count towards their killstreak rewards, then they say "Hey I have to camp here for another 10 kills so I can get my retardo 15 killstreak reward." True, but maybe one out of 25 kills will be from someone who's controlling their killstreak. There should be no Controllable killstreaks. With this time period, it really shouldn't even be possible anyway. There is a ton of opportunity for variety with the 3-5-7 set up. Anything higher than that will simply encourage camping, no matter how Treyarch tweaks it. And who ever said you had to have an all-powerful killstreak reward? No killstreak reward should be more powerful than an A.I Helicopter or dogs.

I agree mostly. However: If they do get rid of last stand, I think there should at least still be some way to revive people. It added such a great, and yet another, level of Strategy to Hardcore Search and Destroy in World at War. If players are not forced to respawn at some point then nobody would in a situation like that, which would be pretty horrible. I think you are misplacing the reason for this happening. The map design plays a major part, And Treyarch is just about the best map-maker there is, so you shouldn't worry. Not to mention that there wont be any retardo kill streak rewards in Black Ops. If there was an option to not join a game in progress, 90% of games where people back out would not fill back up again. They could put restraints on the matchmaking but then it would just be slower, leaving yet another thing for Treyarch Haters to complain about. Treyarch said they are improving on World at War's matchmaking system, which can only be a good thing.

I never said the game should be completely realistic, its just a simple fact, no weapon in modern warfare 2 has recoil to the point where it actually takes skill to use. In fact, lets put that down as another thing thats horrible about modern warfare 2. No Recoil - a blind monkey could win any match, with any weapon. @ Triixster I agree, Blocking Party chat is the worst. I just want to talk to my friends and not have to try and talk over all the idiots screaming and singing and playing their rap music really load because they think it makes them cool. Also, Hardcore Ricochet is the worst thing ever created. And The name "bling" for a perk, I lose brain cells everytime I say it.

Thats the way infinity ward makes maps, every map in modern warfare 2 is that way.

Not Trying to be a mean guy or anything, BUT: No Controllable Killstreaks like the AC-130 or the Chopper Gunner. They are as much to blame for the disaster that is modern warfare 2 as anything else. Care package & Emergency Drop only if they drop Weapons and Ammo. Not if they magically give another killstreak. Also, I hope they don't go higher than 7. Anything more than that will encourage more Killstreak Camping. Yet another Game ruiner.

Wouldn't it actually say CCCP or have Russian characters instead? [brains] Good point. Indeed, although Russia Wasn't necessarily a bad guy in every facet of the Cold War. Remember the opening line of the trailer? Just because they Write it down and call it history doesn't mean its the truth. The trailer is most likely not referring to this particular instance, but in general the statement applies to the fact that Russia wasn't necessarily the bad guy 100% of the time. Maybe Reznov doesn't the totalitarian direction his motherland is headed/taken, and he decided to do whatever was necessary to restore her to her former glory?

Correct, well sort of. Its not like every one of modern suckfest shotguns, or shot gun attachments. With all shotguns in Bad Company 2 you actually have to be close to the person your trying to shoot. You can't stand 15 miles away and kill them with a shotgun. Unless. . . You use the 12 gauge Slug Specialization. I'm not explaining what a 12 gauge Solid Slug is here, so if your confused google it. Or go Deer Hunting. Bad Company 2 > modern warfare 2

Incorrect, they are not just re-inventing the character of Reznov, It is THE VERY SAME Reznov that you knew in World at War. You can't see the whole uniform, It could easily say U.S.S.R. and the strap is just covering the latter half. You play as a Russian, on a team led by Reznov. Russia wasn't necassarily a bad guy in every aspect of the Cold War, and they too had "Black Ops" Teams everywhere.

Wait, What? What Recoil? You must be mistaken. In modern warfare 2's world recoil was never invented. If your interested in learning what recoil actually is, shoot a real weapon. Or the next best thing, play World at War. Then we'll talk about recoil.

LOL, It is still a part of the Series, I wouldn't mind if it wasn't, But it is. I don't hate the game, Its just a simple fact: ITS REALLY, REALLY BAD. I REFUSE to degrade myself and stoop to everyone else's level of playing. The people who play as you are suggesting I should play, have no gaming morals, and no gaming integrity, nor any respect for the game itself. I REFUSE to Sacrifice My Integrity and My morals simply because everyone else playing modern warfare does. I will not play like a D-BAG just to get a high score or get a lot of kills or even for a win. None of those numbers matter if the people playing the game absolutely RUIN it. I play with integrity and Honesty. Most of the time that even works out, but It gets old when everyone else your playing with only care about numbers. Because of that, I DO PLAY ANOTHER GAME. Its Called WORLD AT WAR. Where IM NOT the only one playing with Integrity. People play World at War because they Enjoy it, and Because the Game is Amazing, Not for numbers. Which is why: Treyarch > infinity ward World at War > infinity ward World ar War > modern warfare 2 Black Ops > modern warfare 2

I agree mostly, but the riot shield is not underpowered. Believe it or not, this actually happened. Some randomguy on the opposing team camped for an AC130(big surprise). A few moments later, a guy on our team had a riot shield, LOOKED UP AT THE AC130, raising his shield, and BLOCKED/SURVIVED A 105mm Howitzer Shell from the AC130! Because the Riot shields are stupidly indestructable. Riot Shields are made of plexiglass(plastic) by the way. Then he proceeds to run around with commando, one-tapping people in the shoulder with his indestructable riot shield made of plastic. Completely retarded.

I really hope Treyarch doesn't let you put acog's (or whatever form of telescopic sight they have, because it won't be an acog) on Sniper Rifles. No offense, I just had to get that out of my system. Don't remember what I used because its been so long, but I do know that Not once did I ever equip or use Akimbo, marathon, commando or noob tubes.

Correct, I failed to answer your question, I also failed at Italics LOL. Anyway, I answer your question with another question. How did people boost before tactical insertion? How do people boost in every other game? People will find a way to boost, they always do; infinity ward just catered to those people with every aspect of modern warfare 2, espacially tactical insertion. And that depends on how Treyarch implements the Character customization. I have no doubt that they will implement it in a way that does NOT detract, or distract from the core multiplayer experience. A good example of character customization would be something similar to Rainbow Six Vegas 2's character customization. I agree, although I still hope they go away forever, And that only serves to strengthen the fact that inifnity ward used callsigns just to pump the unlocks full of crap that explodes in your face, 75% of them are the same, and everyone uses the same ones. And honestly, how mature is infinity ward for using lame drug references in half of the titles and emblems? Agreed, Although iron sights aren't hard to use by anymeans, this would probable dissuade many from using it. I also refuse to call that perk by its name, everytime I say the word "bling" I feel ignorant and stupid. So if its being used in some way, it better have a new name.

Callsigns were added into modern warfare 2 for one reason. To make the game feel like there was more too it, to make the player feel like they were doing more and unlocking more. All to help make it seem like the player was actually accomplishing something over the ridiculous amount of game time it takes to reach level 70. As I said before, Callsigns only serve to dillute, complicate, and convolute the process of Ranking up. By throwing all these titles and emblems in your face it detracts and distracts from the multiplayer experience, in much the same way that multiplayer achievements do. The One and ONLY thing that could be considered not a game ruiner in modern warfare 2 is the concept, the idea of multiple weapon attachments. Treyarch will have to tweak that idea a lot in order to avoid all the stupid things it was used for in modern warfare 2, but they can, and probably will. Thats the Only thing from modern warfare 2 that should even be considered in Black Ops.

Well then they should not include all that gayness simply because it made the whole multiplayer and ranking up experience convoluted, and complicated. Removing tactical insert won't stop anyone from boosting, although they should still not include them. 95% of modern warfare 2 players all have the same callsign anyway. So, like has been stated previously, just save time and headache's by not including anything from modern warfare 2.

"Good" is not be the word that should be used to define them. . . Maybe the Mp40 does stand out a little, but its not like all the other weapons are bad. Anyone who wants to be, can be just as deadly, if not more so, with any other weapon in World at War. Where do you get your statistics?

Thats all fine and Dandy, but like I said, I play Hardcore exclusively. There's no problem with the Mp40 in Hardcore, because In hardcore pretty much every weapon is/can be a one shot kill. Without stopping power. Which is why World at War is so Awesome. And you have to admit, Treyarch Did Balance the Weapons Very well in World at War. Every weapon(except for the Mp40, I guess) has pros and cons that balance each other out. In modern warfare 2 on the other hand, there isn't one weapon that has a noticible amount of recoil (hell, the pistols in World at War have more recoil than modern warfare 2 weapons) and they all kill very easily. Honestly, how many people do you see running around using the BAR or the M1 Garand like people use weapons in modern warfare 2? Zero, because World at War's weapons actually require skill. There is ONE weapon in World at War that may be a little noob-ish. One. Do your little comparing thing between the Mp40 and EVERY weapon in modern warfare 2. When Compared to 99% of the weapons in modern warfare 2, The Mp40 has: MORE recoil, MORE sway, LESS damage, LESS mobility, is LESS accurate, when hip firing and aiming, SLOWER aiming, SLOWER reload, and MUCH SLOWER Rate of Fire. So, one exploitable weapon in World at War compared to just about every single weapon in modern warfare 2. Oh, And No Offense, but thats funny!

Play World at War. The maps in World at War are bigger, better, and more Strategic than anything infinity ward could even imagine, let alone actually create. That would work, except you can talk to anyone in a Free For All match anyway. Banning party was a bad move by infinity ward. Who wants to play a game where they can't even talk to their Friends?

However I don't understand the Mp40 "Problem" I have a ridiculous amount of game time, and I have never had a problem with the Mp40 in any way at all. Is it common in normal mode? I almost exclusively play Harcore Search and Destroy because its awesome, and like I said, I haven't had any problems with the Mp40. The BAR is THE Prime example of a Perfectly Balanced weapon by the way, Powerful and accurate, but if you don't know how to control the recoil, then you won't get a lot of kills with it. And it isn't really that difficult, but that is part of the reason people say the guns are "too hard to use" when they should be saying "Im not good at this game". EDIT: Actually, pretty much every weapon is balanced very well in World at War.

Just to clarify, I never stated nor tried to claim that I knew everything about "real war", I too come from a family with Military History, but I'm not coming here being all arrogant saying that I know everything there is to know about "real war". I appreciate your on topic-ness, I also agree that Riot shields are completely ridiculous, getting tapped on the shoulder with a shield made of plexiglass and dying is dumb. Plexiglass is also nowhere near indestructable.
