Just to add that the woman reading the numbers has an American accent, further providing evidence to this.

Seems I'm not the only one, apparent figures of the reception of MW3 have dropped massively, so have ratings, reviewer are rating it 3/10 now, claiming after you play it it is just MW2. And from Wiki: Shame. But IWdon't care, they've made more than MW2 did already.

Basically I'ts down to Treyarch, like all story writers, time tavel always seems to work out the way they want it to, one minute time can't change, next it solves itself.... The wonderful plot device Deus ex Machina.
-
Maybe not the Kecksburg, I don't know, there's so many different conspiracies Treyarch could reference next, but that idea of time travelling back seems the most plausible I have read in a long time based on all the evidence.

Same! I treat CoD like some Saving Private Ryan esque movie, everytime someone dies I run over and try to get them out, normally losing us the game :D
-
Good work, CoD wiki don't focus on this and I have noticed not many people know how to login, [brains] for you.

Good that someone actually put them all in one place! [brains] But you guys mind not quoting the whole thread? Its quite long is all Just the bits you need to comment on :)

Try cutting it down enough so you can say + other things, and you had a good post, I wouldn't have thought it up if I hadn't read your post [brains] for you.

Just now I captured base B on that French map (good naming the maps ) and I was killed, along with others, by a guy camping in the building opposite, so we spawn behind him... and knife him and three other campers.

@XxJason LivesxX Totally agree, except for one thing: Nope, United offensive expansion of CoD1 had a system where the highest level player (you all start at lv1 each game, then gain promotions through kills, which reset to zero at the end of a game/round) Each rank gave you extra equipment, "perks" (aka scavenger, bandolier, juggernaught, stopping power style enhancements) and killstreaks, but they helped the whole team and didnt count towards anything for you, no xp or kills show up, and you dont gain any kills or xp on your profile. But they helped you win, that was the reason to get them, if the enemy get gunned down, its good right?

Yeah I made a post about this same thing when the game first came out, Simmilar to John Trent, we believe either one of them or both is Reznov, as they both know a lot about the characters, but the evidence suggets John Trent is Reznov, not X, with his simmilar quotes; (in a message to JFK) (to Hudson) "Step eight Reznov, Freedom" "For you Mason, not for me" FOR BOTH OF US (this is titled, "A single step", a reference to the steps to escape Vorkuta which Mason continously references.) But who is X? I think I know. For X I have a suspicion it could be this woman: Her name is Evelyn Cross. She is mentioned by Trent in a message to Hudson: She also sent a letter to John F. Kennedy on June 26, 1963 telling about his 'last chance'. Trent also sent a letter to JFK about this. In her letter she says that 'their people are everywhere'. Just like Trent does to Hudson: I.e. she is a Makarov style character, a lieutenant out for revenge and power. The file berlin.pic gives a photo of woman under hypnotises (found in C.I.A. computer under jfkennedy account). The photo I showed above is sent to Hudson attached to the message about her. However I believe she is Russian, seeing as how she knew like Reznov that Mason would kill JFK, and while she warns JFK to stop or else, Trent tells JFK to keep going (victory cannot be achieved.. etc). Trent also tells Hudson about her, so that enforces the idea she is a Russian. This means that she can't be X, unless she is an undercover agent, as X uses the CIA database and has a login,it could of course be hacked but I don't think so. The next part of the idea enforces this. She subtly puts the idea in Hudson's, Mason's and Weaver's mind to go on the run, She tells Weaver (1977) that his sister Olga survived the Stalin's Great Purge, but died during childbirth in 10/11/1955. Her daughter, Kristina, now lived in Moscow. (She is an undercover CIA agent who is working as a GRU, this is witheld as if she is Russian she would not know of her American ties and would expect her to aid her), Mason is told about Frank Woods being alive and as the solo occupant in the "Hanoi Hilton", that Clarke had the intent to hide out at his brother's place in Johannesburg after he escaped from Dragovich's Ural mountain compound. This was mentioned in Clarke's journal and that was material marked "Top Secret" by the CIA. This is why Mason, Hudson and Weaver took a trip to South Africa, possibly to this hide out. And Hudson was warned that he was watched by the CIA, explaining how Hudson knows about Operation Charbodys as he would make sure he knew what they were going to do to him. And who is the woman reading the messages at the beginning of the campaign? Same black hair... please edit your title to include; "Woman reading numbers revealed" it will save me from making annother post on it. Finally the last part of the Maverick Code "He is not who he says he is" could mean that John Trent is simply an alias, implying that he is in fact Reznov. This means that X must be someone else. Some may say; what about the second message where Trent says one of the two escaping Vorkuta died? Well, either Mason is refered to be the one who 'died', his mind destroyed and replaced by a subliminal messages. Or Reznov wanted to make Hudson think that Mason's jail mate during Vorkuta escape died as if he knew that he was still alive he'd hunt him down.

Happens to me all the time on ps3, have you thought of opening your NAT type? Other then that I cannot think of how I can fix it either!

An idea I've always liked is that support can have the same assault abilities, but they require TWICE (or possibly more ) as much to gain. Also @Zaptn, I love your idea, and "In other COD titles, if you weren't a good player you'd hardly ever get a killstreak, maybe a UAV and a carepackage." That's why its a good idea! Its stopped camping in a way Treyarch couldn't with their idea of nerfing everything when people complain. My earlier paragraph is a way to stop the steal bomber and emp spamming! And I've played all CoD titles (someone was asking, not sure if it was at me ) and by all CoD titles I don't mean just CoD 4 onwards!

We're turning into the actual illuminati conspiracists, we see them everywhere! But lol I like your post, and it's good too look into things, people keep only reading my first paragreaph, remember I also said: "But if you want my view its a reference to their work, men working at the base control, a rocket and the moon, with them identifying it as their destination, simple. Remember the people here were trying to win the space race with the 115." And that Kino symbol, its just a circle and someone put a triangle on the screen, look I can do it too! P.s. I didn't make that image, someone actually was using it to prove Rhianna is in the Illuminati!

Most theories and pop culture come from history! And its good to find someone using history for once! You get so many people claiming things by searching the find on wikipedia, but by studying the history of the time you can find so much more, that's what I did for GKnova and I got thanked for it, so I must of done something right. Good posts!

Finally, someone who uses the same tactic as me instead of camping upstairs! [brains] for you!

Like Tac said, I don't think we could include weapons as to determine the time period. I mean, if we are going by present time, this is around the time CoD 4 takes place. I'm assuming Infinity Ward and Treyarch's storylines don't occur in the same timeline. But that's not the point. I think if they included modern guns (from CoD 4), fans would take it as a cheap move from Treyarch to try and copy Infinty Ward. They would also be demanding these modern weapons in multiplayer. Long story short, guns don't really help us determine the storyline. However Treyarch changed the weapons when in a flashback in the campaign, but granted they did bring Cold War weapons into the classic maps, however that can be interpreted as a remake of the maps and therefore non-canoicle. Secondly my first point still stands, why wouldn't they reference it.
-
Nice post mix master! As I said, Treyarch like to take ideas from popular culture and memorable conspiracy theories, as well as the fact there's allready references to the illuminati, the vrill-ya and the pyramid, we can assume that this is the idea they are getting at.
-
The one thing I don't understand is why some people claim the maps are in the present/future. The original 4 were in WW2, we had proof, they then referenced that Kino was in the 60s (only done so they could include all the Black Ops weapons/claymores and keep continuety with the story) and that was referrenced. So why would they change the time without referencing it, and why would they use Cold War weapons in the present/future?

Yeah I madea post about the importance of Five and Ascension, search instead of saying, 'I don't know if anyone has posted this'

Where the majority of players are. Also this may be the reason, the fact there are so many players online! [brains]

The generally accepted theory is that it's an asteroid which was pulled in by the gravitational pull of the Earth. All I can say is that I've never heard either or your two theories. And that video has been on this site for a while actually the accepted theory is that a planet collided with earth before the crust even completely cooled, and the result was a larger earth, and a huge orbiting belt of rocks which due to gravity eventually stuck together to form the moon. Don''t forget the fact that this is backed up by the tilt of the Earth's axis and the concentration of the asteroid belt and the simmilar element concentrations found in the Moon as well. And as you said, the more recent and accepted theory is that the object which the moon originates from was annother planet which had an orbit too close to the Earth, and collided, which due to the angle caused Earth to be 'reeled backwards' to 66 oC axis and the planet was obliterated which is a more likely story than an asteroid, but remember the results are the same either way! Good post. [brains]

well that's inflation due to demand for you :P

Treyarch is hardly as bad as this, even CoD5 never lagged as much as MW2 or 3.

@panda whatever you did people would just exploit it, like in previous games, so even if you design the mostbalanced games, two things happen: 1. People will still blame the game if they die, what else can they do? Accept their own fault in their losses? 2. People will complain about people who find ways to unbalance the game as I said Whatever you do, people will still not be satisfied.
