a very odd glitch that happend to me on W@W der riese
Daveyjone replied to mohawklogan's topic in World At War
zombies get stuck outside the map, they never die, unless, as you did, you nuke 'em. In Black Ops zombies die after a certain time to combat this. -
Treyarch based their ideas on pop culture and conspiracies, so this is probably where they got their inspiration from.
-
Infinity ward don't take ideas from Treyarch, but Treyarch do, so IW removed it in MW2 and then Treyarch copied them and so it didn't return to Black Ops, simple as that. A shame but both their styles create good games, but also cause problems like this.
-
I did. They had sold out in my area, and I wasn't paying £100 pounsd for a shipped version. My mate had it and I read it, but he refused to let me borrow it to upload the images, that's why I made this thread, so someone could.
-
I want to test this, two tests are more valid than one! But I'm a bit confused of where you are describing, can you put an image, or at least ring the part of the der riese map you ar talking about in paint?
-
This happens to me as well, with a friend with an open NAT who lives in the same county in England as me! IW will need to fix this, but they won't. There making money, people are abusing it and getting kills so they don't care, and people will resort to camping which will make more people complain, but IW have their money, unfortunately they're not Treyarch, who have some dignity and compassion Shame as they make such good stories.
-
Yeah and I know that it would work well with MW3, especially with the use of killstreaks, IW would balance it well I hope, by putting some flags inside so that there is gritty close quarter fights, as well as open battles (most likely for greatest effect, in the neutral middle or the end ones to make it harder!) where it would be a struggle, the only problem is people abusing it, like the space in outpost people allready camp in, or the abuse of certain killstreaks and glitches that always trail popular games :(
-
This is basically the idea I was trying to get across :D
-
Possibly, just possibly, it may have nothing to do with zombies and we are leading too much into this! [brains] But if you want my view its a reference to their work, men working at the base control, a rocket and the moon, with them identifying it as their destination, simple. Remember the people here were trying to win the space race with the 115.

It's not just ps3, its Xbox and pc as well! Google mw3 lag issues
-
Edit: What about mixing in different modes, Kill confirmed with Domination and/or war? Confirming kills grants 1 point towards the victory, but the number you need to win is above 200, say 400 or 300?
-
Its the idea Prince of Persia use with the dagger, its rewinding time like rewinding a recorder, and due to Artistic licence and Deus Ex Machina it doesn't completely change time :D

Don't balme me tac, blame this darn Brainz limit :D

We need to inform Infinity Ward about the levels of Lag in their games. Now before you claim its just me complaining, I have done some background reserch: I am in England, I have a friend on my list in my village living a few houses down the road, one inthe town over, one in London, one in the north of England, One in the Netherlands, and a few in America. I organised a test to see how badly we lagged in games and in the servers, firstly I tried the friend in America. He could join my games fine and I his. My friend in the Netherlands could join my games but I couldn't join his sometimes, when a lot of people we're online (peak times on weekends and in the afternoons when Americans get home). My British friends had problems joining me, however, as we are all connected, we could always join through annother person, a bit strange that one person is unable to join through two people but the other one has no problems. And the friend in my street? We can never join, it always says 'game is unavalible', even when trying through a teammate. Secondly we all checked our routers and network connection, all different working companies, all full connection when we try to join, also made sure the provider had not cancelled or that we had run out of coverage for that month/year. However, sometimes someone using the BT company would be fine yet someone also using it in the same area would be lagging badly. We have also made sure we have a variety of settings, I reset my ps3 network, a friend of mine opened up his NAT, annother has a strict NAT. And the last one turned off theatre mode and had an open NAT, we did notice that turning theatre off reduced lag, so we all turned it off. Next, we tried online and private games, from one game to the next we recorded using the connection status and asking, who was the host of the game, we realised that even when the same man was host in two games, people may lag badly in the second who were fast in the first. Next, we recorded delay from killcams (i.e. knifing someone at the same time, then seeing that in the killcam one man didnt even move.), grenades (i.e. how long it takes them to appear after throwing them, highest was 5 seconds delay between throwing animation and the grenade appearing to be thrown) and the delay of audio, i.e. gunshots, voicovers for killstreaks (we noted sometimes when someone is capturing a flag, i.e. B, the audio may sound for one team but not the other, or not at all if someone calls in a killstreak or annother flag is being captured simultaniously, this means you can time your sneak capture of all enemy bases by timing it with a teammate and the enemy will not be informed, even harder to spot if you have a gillie suit and assassin pro) Finally we took the average speed of games, using different players as hosts and playing solo as well in case it was because of us that the game lagged. We found most times the host's team won, with the host getting the most kills, and on the killcam, the most kills due to lag (we said it was lag if the killcam was completely different to what you viewed, i.e. you knfied them, and in reality you were gunned down while running.) Many games jutted and froze continuously, something never experience by any of us in a Call of Duty before, unless a host left before they introduced hostmigration, but this was continuous. IW have allready commented on the lag problems in all their games, you know what they said? Here's two quotes on Multiplayer over various platforms: We are ps3, but I have looked this up and most of the complaints were on the Xbox forums, however Infinity Ward 'forgot' to put the option to open you settings on the PS3, so everyone is on private, so you can't join a friends game unless via invite, which makes my first paragraph even more problematic. Here's a ps3 forum which mentions the same thing, maybe someone can mention this there and the idea that we need to tell IW. And remeber this is 3 years old! Now you realise that we need to tell IW or they'll do nothing. http://community.us.playstation.com/thr ... 0&tstart=0 also a quote from the site points out the reason for IW's actions, and why Treyarch seem to have less lag averagely (we also proved this previously last year.) Simply, We need to do something to get IW's attention.

Come on, I know many of you would love that! For those who never played WaW or CoD3, War was a game mode simmilar to Domination, CoDWiki has the best explanation: -There are five (three on the two smallest maps, Courtyard and Dome) capture points on the map. -When the game begins, the central capture point is active, and whichever team captures it moves the active capture point towards the enemy side, where the process repeats. -The game ends when one team successfully captures the last point on the line. However, even though capturing the point moves the active back to the next flag, the defending team that had just lost the last battle must still capture it again to move the flag back to where it was previously. -If no team wins before time runs out, the game goes to a final fight, where just one flag is placed on the map and the team that captures it wins. -However, to reward the team that was leading at the end of regulation, the opposing team's will have a respawn penalty, giving them a disadvantage. If the team is leading, at the end of regulation, the team wins. -At the end of regulation, if the game was at a tie or both teams had an equal number of taken objectives, nothing is applied for the end of regulation. -The gametype employs a unique system in which the momentum bar on the bottom left increases when the team gets kills. If it reaches one threshold, they will capture the flag at 2x normal speed. -At a second and final threshold they will capture at 3x speed, this "Blitzkrieg" momentum would be lost over time and after it finishes momentum reverts back to 2x capture speed. -Capturing a flag also greatly increases momentum. However, if the enemy team captures a flag all momentum is lost. and Hardcore war -In this gamemode the same rules are in effect though Hardcore mode is in place; players will have limited HUD, respawn in waves (same as in Hardcore Team Deathmatch) and will be removed from the game upon the third teamkill not counting artillery and Bouncing Betties. -However, one difference is that the game is played with up to 18 players and typically on the larger maps. Although tanks were on the maps at first, they were removed along with the tanks in Hardcore Team Deathmatch. The best thing was that the flags were not always in a line, i.e. on breach one flag was downstairs, meaning that the trail of battle snaked around the whole map. This could be built on so much, and added onto Ground War (like how in MW3 Kill confirmed was in Ground War as well) it becomes a real 'War' hense the name. Imagine maps like Interchange with two additional flags, people fighting over the middle flag would be epic! It would be a better appeal to players like makin day in WaW or barebones in MW2. And in the end it's better than half the game modes included!

@OstonedshooterO Yep, same here, I laugh my head off at nearly everything that happens! And Zaptn is right, it does lag a LOT for me as well there was one yesterday, I knifed, missed, and so he shot me, but as I went into final stand I fell through the floor and teleported onto the roof! When I got up I took one step and died (showed the skull and crossbones suicide image at the bottom corner). But what I am saying is that I am bored of it so much quicker than Black Ops, maybe Activision should try to make multiplayer look diffrerent? I mean on Black Ops, the art, colour and styles were all new, not MW or WaW, so it felt new, I love that it is like MW and MW2, but I've been playing surrounded by those styles since 2004... and maybe the reduction of things from Black Ops like being able to choose a random map rather than just two set ones...

"A shipwrecked crew of fearless explorers is hopelessly stranded in an abandoned Siberian outpost." [brains] for you sir.

I kind of said that, and I was asking for images of the journal. Please read the topic before answering.

I believe that the meteor in Tunguska is still there because the Romero and his actors were on there way to Tunguska to find the meteorite until they shipwrecked in CoTD. As for the Tunguska coordinates, that does support your theory, but maybe it meant that there was one like in Tunguska? Like maybe this was a fragment and they fell at the same time? Who knows... To your Vril-ya post, I get what you mean now I think the Illuminati might be the Vril-ya tbh, but who knows They were going to tungsta? First I heard about it! Is it in a radio?
-
I agree with Zaptn, I've been at it for two days now online and I actually I'm winning every match by miles, as an example I get an emp every life . But still, I find it dull, it's the same style as MW2, look at the difference between cod5 and black ops! And the people I think are the real reason. The 5 year olds, extremist gamers and the ragers all seemed to leave black ops alone, but MW3's popularity has caused this to come back, as an example, I got a few hate messages through black ops, In one game on MW3 I got 7 on ground war , one from a teammate! Apparently I didn't let him get enough kills (came first with 40 kills, was lucky with a stealth bomber ), and his message read:

2 ZOMBIES EASTER EGGS IN MW3
Daveyjone replied to DtN m0n3ysh0t's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Zword is right, there are zombies in CoD 2,3,4,5,6,7 and now in 8 as well, the fact there in zombies is based on this, not visa versa. Also try to spell correctly and use punctuation, it helps make the thread look more... reliable. -
How to be a Good Zombies Player
Daveyjone replied to Ehjookayted's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Good work, especially with the good teammate section, actually too informative! Honestly I never thought about tactics like you did! [brains] -
I wont quote as it takes up too much room now With the info on sharing the model with tungsta, I meant the meteor found in SNN, people claimed it was the meteorite exported from tungsta as there were coordinates to tungsta in one of the files, but it may just be any meteor. and by Vrill-ya do you mean the people who created the rod and pyramid? If so, that is who I was referencing by the 'aliens who created the rod and pyramid' the illuminati could be the people who have discovered the Vril or are the Vril themselves.

Can someone please upload the pages of Soaps journal you get with the Hardened editon? It would help those who didn't have enough money (or like me weren't quick enough ) to buy it. Seeing as you can't buy it now, It wont affect their sales, and those who have bought the hardened edition can remain content in the knowlegde they actually have a journal rather than pics of it I would really appreciate it as (spoilers in black, highlight to read) when Soap dies Price takes his journal before leaving, so I am interested in it now. :D

I know zombieofthedead mentioned this, but I forgot to add it to my list when I first wrote it, and like him, I think it would be amasing, but people never will do it as firstly they don't want to offend those people who still have a hang up and secondly because as I said, people don't like inconvenient truths like war is not fun, you cant regenerate health, the enemy are humans just like you. Come on, if you shoot germans then play as one shooting americans, people will not enjoy it, and i bet you some America senator will condemn it as will a pm over here as it 'promotes the idea of harming our soldiers' (so shooting other countries is fine then? ), just like how Germany banned parts of Black Ops as it 'promotes nazi ideology' just because it had nazi symbols in it and wasn't art or historical sources (the only two things allowed their symbols in German now.)
