That's what I was saying! but your example was simpler and easier to understand nb. i never said that they were trying to save brock and gary, just how it was possible And remember I didn't invent those 3 theories, they're the 3 main theories on time travel in the idea that it is a loop This one is like prince of persia, its like rewinding a video as i said, but the fact that the events are sticking closely doesnt mean time is sentient like in Prince of Persia, its more like the 4 examples in wikipedia: None of these claim time to be sentient or having control over this It's more of a plot idea that time won't drastically change rather that everything changing, if it were the latter for Shangri-la everything would change due to the one act, i.e. takeo would be black, dempsey would cease to exist and richtoffen would be replaced by George Romero :D

I got MW3 yesterday, lets say I wasn't as exited as with Black Ops, but I wanted to get down and play. Thing is, today i don't want to play it, I'm allready bored, and I think I know why. 3 hours in from starting it up, finished campaign on veteran, too easy. I imagine they wanted more people to have a chance. It was good, but it felt a bit... MW2 ish 5 hours, tried out Spec Ops and survival, they too seem a bit MW2 ish, recruit: get this and return it here, on hardened difficulty, get 2 things, veteran; do this while a juggernaught attacks you. 6 hours, multiplayer... All guns are exactly the same damage, take a clip to kill one person, and everything still feels... MW2 ish. Is that why I'm allready bored? The only thing different was the campaign, which was short, or is it something else? I still am exited when playing black ops online, and even CoD4 gives a thrill every game and singleplayer mission...

Well: I didn't contradict myself, read my quote, I said TREYARCH HADN'T THOUGHT OF THE MOON YET :] not that in the story it hadnt been built! If you don't believe me, moon is only referenced in moon radios! (before you mention area 51 references, that is on earth :] its not the Nazi moon base) and secondly in the xbox behind the scenes when talking about moon the dev says: "After we made ShangriLa we thought, how an we do better? So we went to the moon"

..If only :] But if I am wielding a walrus in red faction armageddon style [that unicorn was the best weapon ever!] I'll know who to thank [brains]

Don't sweat about looking too deep, thats how we find things, getting hooked on an idea with no firm proof or little and disregarding all good arguments is bad, too many people do that. But remember also that ideas can be later proven as evidence is discovered. So keep that Beryllium idea in the back of your head somewhere.. who knows? It couls be right! But I'm happy you were so accepting of my argument! This site needs more WWk reserchers with your ideas and attitude to theories [brains]

What's your worst habit in zombies?
Daveyjone replied to Superhands's topic in General Zombies Discussion
True Dougie, true.. I just remembered annother, but don't read it unless you really want to, it may cause major raging! Getting bored. In solo this means I turn off mid way through round 5 :] In coop I get to about 30, any higher and I just leave. FORGIVE ME! I've caused so many people to fail reaching level 40+ including myself! I don't leave my friends but boredom make me lose intrest and due to my lack of effort we all die early. -
I put this in annother post but I'll put the bit about time travel here where it belongs. Some of you might be asking how those two guys could be trapped, but in a loop, which shouldn't work due to the laws of ontological paradoxes [That if something ages by any amount it can't be in a paradox as it would age by an amount untill it died/decomposed. The solution is to be a. Immortal, or b. Use a past/new version of the object eg a book is discovered in the future, the reciever copies the book and sends it back in time so it can be recieved and copied and sent back...etc.], but honestly if that upsets you, I could probably give some reason as to how it could work i.e. that as they are going back in time physics is working in reverse so to speak therefore the cells in their body would reverse their slow decomposition through life [ageing ] to the point they reached Shangri La. That would also mean any injuries, spent ammo, energy and equipment would be healed/returned to them as they are at a point where they wouldn't have injured themselves/used it. Think of it as NOT a circular loop through time but alternating, like rewinding a video :] Or something deus ex machina, like the 115 de-ages them, heals them etc. The other bit is how they could have their past change, well in layman's terms there are 3 possible effects of time travel: 1. You can't change the past, it has already happened when your in the present ergo it can't be changed. Also this means you cannot change the future but thats not relevent here and would just confuse things. 2. Time can be changed, every action changes the timeline, just travelling to the past will cause it to change! 3. Time can be changed, but will balance itself by changing as little as possible. i.e it will stick as closely to the original events as possible. Simply 3 is the answer. The presence of the characters in the past is not enough, they must do drastic things eg, close a pit of lava. But the results are still close to the original.

.. So you're saying Oswald was a zombie? Ha, I joke, but seriously, good post, remember the story is an of shoot of real events, an alternate reality so too speak, so the past isnt the same as here, JFK can die in the pentagon and the Earth can get nuked from the moon in the 60s :D

Most probable with the rivalry of consoles would be that PS3 get two ps3 characters, i.e. as someone said earlier, Raiden from Metal Gear Solid, and possibly someone like Cole McGrath, Quark from Ratchet and Clank , Hale from Resistance, Drake, a Helgast Soldier, someone in a biker uniform from Motorstorm etc, Xbox and games for windows would have people like Dom from Gears, Master Cheif from Halo, a Fable character etc, and Steam would have (maily Valve characters ), Characters from L4D/2, Gordon Freeman from HL, Chell from Portal or one of the robots! Someone from Total war or Civ like a famous ancient king (wouldnt that be cool? Caesar, Hannibal, Alexander and Cleopatra ) Dawn of War/StarCraft characters (A space marine Vs Zombies ) someone from one of the recent Star Wars games or LOTR games that are on Stam (It's a shame that because they're not FPS only steam gets them Damn console styling that restricts the game styles available [brains] )

What's your worst habit in zombies?
Daveyjone replied to Superhands's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I have a habit which most people should copy, being in the Cadet Force (wow, so extreme i know ), playing the old CoD 1 and having a father who had been in the army at a time I always act millitarily in games, you know, always reloading after shooting, even when I've used about 3 bullets in a MG , always aiming, always when sniping going prone, and staying still, getting use to the breathing motion (don't hold the breath, you don't with a real gun) and after firing, moving on. Firing in single shots, even with an MG Sticking with teammates, even if downed in annother room, i'm the last guy and there are 100 zombies between us, and I have no ammo, perks or powerups and always trying to get teammates to act like me, so many times they've said to me: "For the last time, we don't need to do millitary Staggered file marching while going to teleporter C in Der Riese!! "We don't need to have one guy firing and when he reloads the other one fires!" "We don't need a MG, 2 Rifle gunners and a medic in each group." "And we definately do not need an IC and 2-IC (officer in charge and second in command)" People on multiplayer do get confused when I yell 'contact front, Y and I will move up to enemy position in fire and move order, x gives covering fire, prepare to move' Then I am confused when they run off and i'm left sprinting into a firefight on my own I wish it were like that, then CoD would be so much better. -
From my memory beryllium is fount abundantly in the galaxy, one of the most abundant elements actually, that would explain why they went to the moon. Also maybe your looking too far into this? There are too many elements that are that dangerous to the human body, even oxygen causes simmilar effects to nova 6 when in an 100% oxygen atmosphere. And for the effect, 115 is famous for having a half life of about 220ms (miliseconds), while beryllium has an atomic number of 4 as I recall, not at all unstable or radioactve in any way. But your theorey that America/the Nazis are reverse enginnering the alien artifacts (like the pyramid ) is a good one, I just think that Beryllium has no part to play in it. Die Glock was the real life attempts at discovering the uses of radioactivity, ranging from the occult, radioative weaponry (gun form, not bomb form , to anti gravity and time travel, not weaponising chemical warfare (are you thinkign of nova6? Because that would make more sense ) And the last point about time travel within time travel, nice idea possible sequal plot device?

lag? even on solo my screen jumps sometimes when something happens that takes up ram like a message from someone or sound effects.
-
Zombies can push you, just like a guy sprinting into you on multiplayer, but the creen jumps giving the impression of teleporting a few yards. Mosltly this is noticed when your down, when your lying in a doorway and they push you out the way so they get through, normally though people don't notice when their alive as they are downed normally before they can react.

What's your worst habit in zombies?
Daveyjone replied to Superhands's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I never react in multiplayer to gls quickscoping or any perk use, its in the game, so why can't they use it against me? Same in zombies, if someone wants to leave and camp on his own, not revive us and all that stuff, well we'll lose faster, so it's ironic justice. But when someone takes kills from your window when there's 4 or more around... RAAAGH. I know I shouldn't, but I just don't understand why people want to hoard points, why? I mean in mp getting kills and xp help you level up, and you get guys who camp to get as many as possible (their choice to not enjoy the game), but I am at a loss to understand why you would do that in zombies early on, yes some guys want to get to the random box, but if they have 5000 points and no one has enough for a door why do they sit there and refuse? :P -
Unfortunately there is one problem with this list, the rule of life is he who shouts loudest is heard. The whiners who complain when any weapon kills them (even the one their using) they angrily complain, how many people have called someone a nube tuber? thats why they were nerfed. Only pointless perks left? (like gas mask ) thanks to people who complain. Once in a blue moon a new actualy idea gets through, i.e. commando, zombies itself, but most get nerfed straight away! Solo leaderboards... Sniping... always due to a mix of people exploiting the game (which will always happen) and people who dont realise that this will never go away complaining :D

Since when did solo Verruckt become so easy?
Daveyjone replied to Superhands's topic in Classic Maps
all the maps were reduced to the black ops gameplay stats, but in waw they were making zombies for the first time, for example in NDU no barrier attacks, but in bo version they do as it is based on the der riese/kino stats and gamplay, in verruckt, due to perks, they made the zombies stronger and faster (sprinters). You notice by der riese in WaW the zombies are so much weaker round per round than NDU and Verruckt. -
But why would he of chosen to go to take them to Shi No Numa of all places is what we're trying to figure out ShoreYO. We know he took them there, but what we're trying to figure out is why. I'm sure there we're other more suitable 935 locations for him to take the gang to. Why would he choose some location in Japan? Unless he had been there before and had a reason to back, like to get the DG2. Shipments of 115. The only other areas utilising the necessary 115 and equipment by 1945 (remember this is before they went to the 'future') are Area 51, Der Riese, Verruckt and the Moon Obviously Der Riese is out, Verruckt has been overrun, so Shi is the only one left. What about the moon? I hear you say? Well do you think they planned that far? You think they designed the moon idea by that point? If so then they wanted to hold it back from us, having a map on the moon would have been too far a leap. More importantly Richtoffen did not know by this stage Sam and Maxis had been in the predicament they had, if he intended to send them to the moon rather than kill them, he would have expected the guys there to deal with them (as we know he wasnt there and Sam ran into the machine, Maxis died and she killed everyone )
-
Guys, the very first theory when Riese came out was that Richtoffen fled there after he killed Maxis (we now know he sent him to the moon but hey, we were half right ) Hence the Doctors quarters, obviously he took his subjects there and that is how the story of the 4 starts as Verruckt and NDU don't have them and the Black Ops editon included them for the fact people didn't want faceless characters again. The end.
-
Louis from L4D, and pillz have to be introduced.
-
Trust me they are more presice than half the stupid theories people believed/still believe on this site, at least CoD actually limit certain features, like claiming certain things to be true.

I just want an overview of when you want the first real get together, obviously some of you will want to play the Campaign, some try out survival and spec ops as well before moving to multiplayer, some will want to get a grasp of Multiplayer before we play as a group and some will want to get geared up straight away! Obviously I'm not saying this playdate will be completely centred on multiplayer, I for one will want to play survival with soem people on this site. And there will be limitations, obviously some will not get MW3 straight away or will have delayed postal services (a collegue of mine waited 17 days extra for Gears 3 due to a postal error  ) So we want your views on when this should be. Keep up the CoD'ing!
