Was Peter a Playable Character in W@W Verruckt?
Daveyjone replied to play2often's topic in General Zombies Discussion
They hadn't designed the characters yet, although the plot outline had been concieved before the game was released they only started it in the first dlc; verruckt, then they still only added the characters at SNN, hence why the first mention of the 4, and also of peter, is at SNN. -
sure. The idea is that the least popular will be removed, then replaced, by the end we'll have a list of the sites most popular. Don't wory I'll tell people to vote on the new one.

feel free to post your views as well! It is an opinion poll

TREYARCH Bring Back Exploding Body Parts like from WaW!!!
Daveyjone replied to LILNIG's topic in Single Player
Shoreyo has signed the petition Bring on the limbs... And everywhere, multiplayer and campaign ftw! -
Setting, just setting. The scariest, tensest and best looking map without perks (i.e., NDU) would be better than a Moon style map... although I would prefere it to include the perks and weapons as well of course :D

IW claimed it was counter productive to make a new engine, critics argued that there would have to be one eventually (and other claimed as their game would sell anyway they didn't want to waste money making it better, which to be fair they heavily implied themselves...) But. Remember that with the introduction of both Raven and Sledgehammer the three companies will be making games; ergo 3 years to make each while we still get one a year, perfect time to make new game engines. Secondly, remeber treyarch build upon the last game, not as IW do, their last game (i.e. MW3 not Black Ops), meaning there will be an increase in the rate of improvement in CoD. Or, and this is my most hopeful, they don't churn them out every year and go back to the cod 1, 2 and 3 method of taking a few years with each one!
-
Cod 1 was in my view the best and it contained more than just tanks; it had jeeps, bikes with side cars.. but never any planes, leave them for the killstreaks Also [brains] for your title, you've got style to be that forward my friend :D

I have coined all the most discussed ideas from the other topics and condensed them into this opinion poll so that we can see what you all think of them. None of these are taken from my ideas (although I have suggested some things that they also have ) Please choose as many options as you want, after all this is to see what you like! All choices are anonymous (as all polls on this site are ) and by ticking a box you are saying that you like this idea. *Zombie co-op/solo campaign - many, myself included have suggested a seperate campaign mode in which each mission has a start and finish, not continuing eindefinitely. A lot of support for this one in other topics. *Objective and survival gameplay options - The choice of two game modes, possibly alongside the zombie campaign, the closest analogy I can find is the difference between spec ops missions and survival, except imagine choosing a survival map, then it is with objectives based around a preferenece, rather than seperate scenarios (i.e. survive for x rounds, extract a player from the map, obtain the golden rod, Defend certain windows/areas for certain time, escape the map! or a mixture of these and more). *Custom mode / custom settings - i.e. private mode or as options to choose from (i.e. just like multiplayer variations). For example: Classic (i.e. like Dawn of the dead zombies, always slow and weak, like round 1 strength zombies), Original (obvious ), Extreme (one hit downs), custom modes (D.I.Y. only in private modes) *Gun fusions - You combine two guns and get one with both's traits and attachments (i.e. MG + flamethrower -> MG with flamer / with incendary ammo / fires only flame (but more concentrated and further)), obviously you lose a gun but you get one better one! *Secondary objectives - "(not "easter eggs"): A number of objectives or challenges could be implemented; these are optional and show themselves throughout the course of the game. The reward provides incentive to complete them; however there is no penalty if they are not attempted." -Aussienitro

[brains] for spreading these ideas here! Also is that you in the videos or are they someone elses you've linked to get your points across? I'm just curious.. Anyway I think that fusion is a great idea, it allows for a new dynamic to the game which won't be adding seperate new features, while this is adding onto pre existing ideas. That will keep the games pre existing feel, the only down side to Black Ops was that it didn't feel like WaW, less horror tones more sci-fi, obviously being set in the cold war this is understandable, but either way the tone must not detract from either of these anymore! To do that we have to keep the same style, adding onto pre existing ideas, but not introducing ideas that detract from this. This is one example of the former [brains]

oops, missed that out Hopefully with the new game they'll be able to do both, and more!

Lag solution: Dedicated servers. Also, other games have more than 4 players + ai and it seems to work, look at CoD 5 co-op campaign!
-
To answer this we must look at the styles of the game designers: IW build upon their last game (i.e. cod 4 -> MW2) Treyarch prefer to build upon the previous game (not always theirs i.e. Cod 4 -> W@W) Simply treyarch took cod 4 and instead of focusing on a huge jump in all the basic things like graphics (i.e. the jump in detail from Mw -> MW2) they focused on enhancing the minor details, i.e. realism through gore, enhanced gameplay through co-op campaign and zombies. Unfortunately IW prefer to build from their last game, you can see why: It keeps continuity by giving games the same feel as the previous one, i.e. imagine Mw2 with the gothic tone and gore of WaW - It wouldn't feel like the same series. But at the same time this causes a cycle: IW make game Treyarch enhance it IW do a new game without any of the good ideas Treyarch included Treyarch enhance this game (but not always with the same enhancements as last time {i.e. no gibbing on BO Mp})... so to conclude: IW didn't build MW2 from CoD 5, so when Treyarch made their next game it didn't include gore.

Ahem: Richtoffen/Sam: Scythe Takeo: Katana Nick: Axe (Fifth Wife related jokes to be formulated of course...) Dempsey: Sledgehammer. And I think we have it. Unless Dempsey would rather have a chainsaw...

also for those playing random having to endure hell just to get a game going. True, what we need is a casual mode for people to drop into, obviously that means no leaderboard scores, but as the name suggests, its for fun, not for rounds! Slip in larger numbers of players, an automatic countdown for game starts, and we've got a solution!

Back to CoD 5!

People leaving game when you're host questions
Daveyjone replied to bbc5791's topic in General Zombies Discussion
To point out, on the first point it will count the score as you surviving up to that round with the original number of players, so in your case 4 players, which will affect your leaderboard rank. -
Nein, think bigger, not 8 but 20!

What is your most favorite on wall guns?
Daveyjone replied to Nathan169's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I don't care if it's rubbish (which it is ) but its one of those guns I will always try to use, whether on multiplayer or zombies, it just reminds me of CoD 1 so much :P -
The one problem with playdates is that they're lost between posts If we can get covert to make it a constant thing on the homepage then maybe where onto something.
-
I can sum up the most posted things on this topic : PPsh 41 - nearly every post treyarch non leaderboard mode (i.e.people could join in)/private mode settings customisable modes (I for one could see above idea being mixed with this...) map editor... come on you didn't make the last one (especially liked the forge mode / map editors for consoles posted by oBearz) More of a WaW feel dedicated servers/host migration save games on solo ranks/titles and emblems/ black ops style emblems pro perks - brilliant but keep it in single games, i.e. reward players who survive without getting downed.
-
too obvious? The main problem with the theories of late is that most ar etoo complicated! The ascension EE was signalled by noise, the kino one by an obvious link between film reels and the large screen, shangrila was focusing on radios as was moon, the campaign was explained through simple passwords in the terminal and gk itself was pretty simple, i mean ebola wasn't the answer was it :P
-
I was host, so it cannot be the ping that caused all of that. @lemonade: Thanks for the vid. That's an extremely epic cut. Lag can happen on solo or when host If you play SNN and look right of the main hut, the screen slows as the amount of detail slows the game down, just one example But lag is only a tiny factor in most cases.
-
Lag - its a real meanie Unfortunately it will always be there. Just accept it and move on Can't argue with the game!

Add someone who will definately be there: i.e. Ehjook or dark jolteon or me . The person can then invite you.
