  1. Or it just turns into fucking LOST, since we've long since been heading down that route.
  2. Zombies? Everyone does zombies. The round survival formula isn't new either. Gears of War had horde mode, and that wasn't anything new. They just put two things together and got something good. But good =/= original. Customization of guns and emblems? Hasn't Halo been doing this kind of stuff for a while? (Protip: YES) 15 Prestiges? So you're saying that five more prestiges is creative? That's ridiculous. Map varieties? That's not creative at all. That's an expectation nowadays. The maps should be varied. New and better killstreaks? So take the dogs from World at War and add the ones Modern Warfare 2 had, and you'll have people defending that as creative. New perks? Rename them and move their "pro" effects around a bit, and it's brand new. Just like if I have a giant bowl of spaghetti, and I push it around a bunch, it looks like it has been eaten a little bit, but, upon closer inspection, it hasn't at all. More camos? That's not really creative. Take real-life, already-made camos and apply them to textures. Apparently, I'm now qualified to work for Treyarch and be loved by their fanboys. Facepaint? More character customization. Probably the most original part of this was the fact that the customization was confined to only your face. On top of that, you couldn't design your own. Just pick from a bunch of pre-determined paints. Change the way you look by your first perk? No one noticed that different gun classes are what affected your appearance in the other CoDs apparently, so Treyarch tried to make a big deal out of it like it was revolutionary. Ridiculous. All that being said, I actually enjoy playing BlOps. But I'm intelligent enough to realize that there is a big difference between having fun with the game and considering it original or creative or revolutionary. In the grand scheme of things, Call of Duty has not been a "revolutionary" franchise. They just rehash old ideas, but do it well. But rehashing only goes so far. A big name franchise with a big budget in this case should be making games that live in the current generation: the HD generation. Enough of this sub-600p shit. Use the extra 480p available and maybe your game won't be written off for graphics.
  3. This techno-metal is a bit awful until the chorus. It's definitely not 115 or Beauty of Annihilation. From Sherwood's channel: Bevws2UDtpw
  4. Well he's had his hat on in every other map. Maybe he really is bald?
  5. The background is very reminiscent of Inglorious Basterds.
  6. No. Definitely in the USSR. If the CCCR on the side of the rocket wasn't enough, there are lunar landers in Ascension. We were in the space race with the USSR, not Cuba.

Call it the Murder Train because that's exactly what it is.
  8. Ludwig Maxis.
  9. Well it's not wrong. You can't use Xbox Live party chat on PS3 EVER. If you are able to, you probably shouldn't be allowed to play.
  10. Isn't the new GTTV tomorrow? They are having a hands-on preview of the DLC. That might be it. Lower your hopes, that way it isn't as disappointing.
  11. All hail the power of the Murder Train! Chugga chugga chugga!
  12. So basically this confirms that there are maps that came ON DISC that they are charging us for. Damnit! I hated that when BFBC2 did that to me, and now Activision is following suit. You bastards.
  13. I'm pretty sure "camping" has a pretty universally accepted definition. But whatever. Read that as you see fit.
  14. MW2 = 1.05 Black Ops = 1.05 Problem?
  15. What we consider "camping" in an online FPS is actually a pretty common thing in the military. No one just runs around the battlefield at a million miles per hour without taking cover while eating bullets. It's how you don't die, which is kind of the point in the real military.
  16. Drawing you in through a viral campaign? Done before. Epic single player campaign? Just as laughably bad as Infinity Ward's. Revolutionizing story telling and multiplayer? You wish. Every CoD from here on out is just taking the formula from one of the best multiplayer experiences ever (CoD4) and stealing a feature from another game. Then they call it "brand new" like it really changed anything.
  17. Shouldn't be any different. Take the same engine, a laughable campaign, and steal some multiplayer features from another FPS and call it "revolutionary," and you have yourself a Call of Duty game. Boom.
  18. Looks like a L4D2-mod map with the zombie character overlaid. Kind of like how someone posted a picture of a map from Garry's Mod on PC and said it was a real map. Calling BS.
  19. This ENTIRE board has made quite a bit of noise about how Treyarch listens to the community and knows what the community looks for. They KNOW there are people like those on this board who take notice of details like Richtofen's picture from Kino. It is highly unlikely they would just copy the texture knowing that we would be all over noticing how it was the same picture. While it is easy to just copy over the texture, it isn't like Treyarch is short on money and needs to cut those corners. Saying that Five has NO connection to the story is nothing short of ignorant. It would be the same as saying (when it was released) that Verruckt had no story. It's there, you just need to give it some time for all the clues to be found. While Five may not be the MAIN story, there are some clues to help build the background and give you a heads up that the zombie outbreak has spread to the rest of the world.
  20. DoD is definitely the Department of Defense. The CIA is a branch of the Department of Defense.
  21. There is no response to this level of ridiculousness. That is all. You are complaining because they built the story off of recorded history rather than focusing on the violence. You, sir, are an idiot. Especially when you don't know how to spell the insults you dish out (it's spelled "facists" not "fashists").
  22. 1.04 was SUPPOSED to fix that stuff. What it actually fixed was making sure that the game is basically unplayable on PS3. Way to make things worse, Treyarch. It's no wonder you were never a top developer.
  23. I thought it was a clever way of making sure the retarded friendly AI could be explained and for making sure that there was an excuse for why enemy AI only shot at you.
  24. *Morgan Freeman You don't joke about that. 8-)
