First off, I wasn't sure which section to post this under - if it is wrong, please move.
Ok, here's my question: What is the actual difference between the CoDZ (first) game that came out on the App Store and the new one there now, CoDZ II?
From my personal experiences, it seems to be pretty much just the same game as the first, only with a different icon, showing a II on it. All else seems to be the same:
- the intro video is the same
- the menus are the same
- the maplist shows the same maps
Furthermore, in the first game, it states that CoDZ II is out and it can be purchased through the app itself. There are no visible buttons or links that actually takes me to a purchase page in the app nor one that will take me to the app store. Since I thought it was only a glitch that the real purchase link for the II-version wasn't present, I went on the app store and bought the new one (at full price, sadly).
I did purchase all 3 maps in the original game (got it just when the "II-version" was out already). However, trying to redownload the maps in the new game expects me to pay again (tried with map #3, Shi No Numa).
So ultimately, is Shi No Numa all that's new (aside from the game's icon)? I am really thinking this is a very bad marketing gimmick to lure players into buying the new version that doesn't actually have anything new (gameplay wise), by placing a notice on the game's menus that the "sequel" is out and saying it can be bought ingame for a discount, when in fact there aren't any, leading players to manually go to the app store and purchase it there (those who think a patch will eventually arise but don't want to wait). Worse still, it also doesn't properly register the map purchases from the first game, even though the information that pops up clearly states that one will not be charged again if it was bought previously.
Therefore, I am desperately seeking a clear answer here. What are the differences, if any (aside from the aforementioned icon)?
