  1. True. When I wrote that, I was thinking that there was interfering noise from the Characters when trying to hear it. Realized now that they hardly talk anyway. Nope. Don't have to have finished the EE. (As pointed out above). Plus, you guys HAVE to go and listen to this by the door for yourselfs, before you claim it's an elephant. It sounds quite brassy when you hear it poperly. LOL I'm not. I posted this because the mysterious 'elephant noise' was being discussed around this forum, being misinterpreted as significant. It's not a part of the story at all, which is what I am saying. :)
  2. I've been in a laggy game, and had a zombie come at me, UPSIDE DOWN. It's like it were hand standing toward me, excepting it wasn't supported by it's hands, just kind of floating. It was pretty creepy at the time and I laughed for ages. Shooting it once fixed it.
  3. LOOOLLL Redownloading isn't an option for me though It took 17 hours to download originally :|
  4. BEST ENDING: Activision, Treyarch, Sony AND Monash do a deal, PS3 users get a 3D, Motion Detection (through Sonar) compatible BO2.
  5. LOL My next objective.
  6. Well i think it must have been a mod because you can give negative brains anymore, and the only person that could re-enable the -1 feature would probably be carbon Nah, there's a guy who, when trying to give positive brains from his phone, gives negative brains :| He's posted it in the 'Are you having issues' thread, but it's yet to be addressed (Though, that's not to suggest this was done by him at all). Fixed the brainz fo yo!
  7. LOL And I thought the Name of this thread was a joke...
  8. I understand why! Killing him once can be a real pain, but to have it achieve nothing at all (which lasts more than a few round)... Bit crappy :| (I still like him though)
  9. Personally, I think there's no backward message at all. Frankly, it didn't sound remotely like [ well, you know ] And I'm actually quite interested in Backward messages. (Delved deep into Tupacs songs, Crowleys 555, etc)
  10. Haha yeah, Figured that out eventually (ROUND 33, FTW)
  11. LOL I realized this when I wrote it up too :P
  12. Here are some of the Quirkier attributes of COTD, most of which are underappreciated. Some of them are random inconsistancies, some are just small attributes that aren't widely unrealised. - All Characters claim to know some kind of martial art - Sarah quotes "How'd you like a stilhetto to the skull?" But she's not wearing stilhettos! DUN DUN DUN - Zombies appear white through the scope of the Hyena - InfraDead. This makes no sense at all. - The arrows of the Hyena - InfraDead appear black through it's scope, and can be easily seen on the body of the victim zombie. (I made a 3 dot Triangle on George using this attribute) - The Characters remark at every 10 rounds passed. (Elaboration: They say a quote at the start of every 10 rounds that can not be activated any other way) - George Romero can spawn in the Starting area, AND the water outside the Marathon Perk machine. - The PHD Flopper animation shows the player Drinking out of a bottle. The actual machine is supposed to give liquid into a paper cup (Texture wise) - Whilst trapped, Richtofen says "I think I found a lever" Dempsey: "That's not a lever!" This inclines one to think that Richtofen had grabbed Dempseys 'Johnson', but actual mechanical sounds can be heard before Dempseys quote (Suggesting Richtofen was actually touching some mechanical) - Takeo's only line is "BLUUUURRGH" (vomiting) - It's possible to activate the Meteors on a different floor to the meteors. (They can be activated through a floor / roof) - After round 30 (approx), Nukes become the rarest PowerUp. - Richtofen implies that the Generators (which must be destroyed), resemble Male Genetalia :| - The sound of Hammers and Jackhammers can be heard from the room which the Characters are trapped in, even when the barriers supposedly seperate them. ... What could they be using them for?! (The sound persists when they teleport away. Fail) - When aiming at a zombie, the AutoLock causes the reticle to follow the zombie. When wielding the WunderWaffe, the same thing happens when aiming NEAR the zombie (You can aim a good 2 meters away, and your gun will still slide in a vector equal to the zombies movement) - No matter how many times you kill George in one game, Sarah will still exclaim "I hope he's not coming back". - If a Zombie is weakened to a certain percentage of its original health and enters water, it will freeze and die (Not sure on the percentage. I think it's under 40%) Inheritantly, it takes onto 2 stabs to kill a Round 3 Zombie in water) - Everytime George shrieks (and everything shakes), the Players reticle moves around in a circle. - The Sticky grenade Chalk outline is of a bag of Steelheads from W@W? - Shooting a Crawlie excessively will trigger a character quote, remarking on the crawlies exceptionally long life (Eg: Sarah: "You're supposed to die, you know!") Feel free to post some more.
  13. We've all heard it. That bizarre, elephant - like noise that can be heard across the map in Call of the Dead. It seems like the sound plays randomly, with no consistant trigger. I have just discovered this is not the case. EXPLAINATION After completing the Easter Egg, standing next to the door (where the characters were trapped) allows you to hear some mechanical sounds from the inside. You hear the sound of... -Hammers, - Jack Hammers, - Metal scraping, etc. This is all looped together. The 'elephant noise' is actually PART OF THIS LOOP. When listening to the audio, the Elephant noise will play in the same position, relatively to the other sounds. It also has the same muffled, brass like sound that all the mechanical sounds possess. I've listened to the loop over and over. Elephant noise is always in each loop, consistant every time. THUS: It's part of the EasterEgg Background Sound Loop. It can only be heard around the lighthouse, which is still quite a HUGE area!! The reason it seems so loud, is because of the attribute of the sound. It's no louder then the rest of the mechanical background noise, It's just A LOT easier to distinguish over said background noise (Particularly because of the large pitch difference) It might actually be the sound of a table scraping across metal, etc. It does sound an awful lot like an elephant, but I can actually understand it being an industrial noise. CONFIRMATION: Check this for yourself after finishing the egg, and making a crawlie far away (so there's no obtrusive noise). If anybody could get their hands on the audio loop in question, I'd be grateful! :)
  14. Okay, I've killed Romero again (Got the Wunderwaffe for the THIRD time) My character (Buffy) just said: "Are we getting somebodies wedding list by mistake?" No idea what that means :| (Just wanted to let you know that I survived! Round 26, Oorah!)
  15. GOT DAMN IT Tried to make a crawly to kill Romero. Only 1 zombie left, George makes it fast and electrified. Spent like 14 Sticky Grenades trying to blow it's legs off, instead, it's head goes off and now I have to attempt round 25 with 1 clip of the R115 resonator and 12 hyena - infradead shots :| Screwed.
  16. I'm currently playing Solo, COTD, round 24. I've been having audio and Romero glitches the WHOLE GAME. (not sure if relevant, but I did the EasterEgg and got the Wunderwaffe) It started around round 15. I used the zipline, and the zipline sound continued long till I was off it (About 13 minutes of constant noise). Eventually it changed to another noise that was repeated, didn't sound like a zipline but was just as smooth (It was like a constant sound, rather than a repetitive sound.) later... (After doing the Easter Egg and getting the Wunderwaffe) I got the Vr1ll and shot George when he was in water. He left straight away, but came back later that round?! I shot him again, and he left for a few entire rounds. Eventually when he was back again, I actually killed him. He dropped the Wunderwaffe (thus, 2nd time I have it during game). now... George has just come back AGAIN! I thought when you killed him, he stays away for Good? I still have the Wunderwaffe from the previous kill! :| Also... I am rape training at the bottom of the Light house. Get this, I just heard the QUICK RELOAD song playing there, 2x as fast! (at least). The song was literally play more than double the normal speed! (I thought it was dead shot dariqui (or however u spell it) at first, glitching.). I have just paused the game after that, to write this. (I've also heard that elephant noise like 80 times :| George keeps talking when he's left. A few times I've shot and my gun hasn't made a noise.) COTD needs a patch, URGENT!
  17. It's real.Tested last night with my Zombies-only BO clan. WOAH. I made a thread about things that needed inves'. I proposed the PaP machine shaking. (I had video proof of it). > People tried to say it was from Sam's laugh (They're wrong, it's well after that. There's no color drain or audio) > People said it was a Lander going over (Which I accepted. But your post makes me doubtful!)
  18. It all depends on your team. If you're on SOLO: - Forget all other Perks on high rounds, except Juggernog and QUick Revive. Losing other perks doesn't matter. If monkeys take these, you're officially dead and won't be able to save the other perks anyway If you're in a GOOD team: - 1 person at each of the best perks. (If somebody has a PaPed M1911s, they can take both Quick Revive and Juggernog) - The player guarding Marathon MUST use the fire trap (it kills monkeys instantly, and gets you the Achievement) If you're in a BAD team: - Protect Juggernog. You're screwed if you lose it. DON'T EVER: - Throw an uncooked grenade at a Monkey (it will throw it back) - Try to run past a line of Monkeys more than 2 monkeys long (one will slow you, the rest kill you) - Throw a Gersch device at a Monkey (they'll jump in harmlessly) - Shoot a monkey with the Thundergun (it hardly does anything)
  19. This has been covered on this forum already, but, You're correct. It's not a glitch. It's actually an ANTI glitch. It's easy to create invincibility glitches by having two players occupying the same spot (which they achieve by jumping onto eachother). So, Treyarch now prevent you from jumping onto eachother (and give you a rap on the hand for it aswell: An instant Down). It is completely intentional, and is to prevent glitchers. It does not give you any more points. The people who believe so are stupid :|
  20. I agree (although I love Five) There's too little space with too many windows. There's no room to evade zombies, and they're exceptionally hard to keep barricaded out. It's a terrible combo.
  21. Honestly... I've HATED Black OPs. It is easily the worst COD title since COD3!! The graphics are horrible! They're W@W graphics, but with better lighting (and fixed the Character edge / light problems)! (Seriously, I have compared them extensively!) Multiplayer just feels sucky! It feels that it's less about shooting, and more about some exterior factor that constantly fluctuates. (Hard for me to explain). For instance: If you see and enemy and start shooting first, and are deadly accurate... you can still verily easily be killed despite. (It's like an inconsistant firepower imbalance. Sometimes it's fine) I think a lot of people want to ignore it's negative qualities, to avoid feeling unpatriotic, and out of fear of other patriots response! :| EXCEPT: Nazi Zombies is EPIC It is the only feature of BO I play anymore!
  22. There's a lot of glitches around COTD at the moment! Treyarch aren't patching them! Instead, they've been extra activate at removing all the videos for infringement. (It's quite hard to find tutorials on the glitches, but they're still god damn there!) By the Way... Love it! :D
  23. You are one of the dumbest people on the internet. :|
