I doubt it has something to do with Black Ops, just because of the fact they are going to be telling the story from two different story lines. Cold War and 2025. They will more than likely be revealing what happened to this Villain during the Cold War to change him into the "terrorist" he is in 2025.

ha ha it is not zombies, I can tell the character is from the campaign. They would not include a zombies shot in the middle of the "Campaign" Trailer. The light you see is a spotlight, not the light for the box.
-
This first picture is not from a new zombie map! Watch the E3 wall trailer. They show more angles of this shot and you can tell it is not zombies related at all. I will look for the link and show you! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSNPtFOPWcc its at time 12:01!

It was pretty sweet, the demo is online I believe.

Agreed, I just think for the random player the names might become a little bit too confusing. Maybe using a numbering system for those elements would work better but other than that it's always good basing science fiction off from science fact :)
-
PopTart Yes that would work, I would just make a few edits to some of the elements just to make them unique. If not even getting rid of some and combining them together for an extra added effect. Great start though!! :D
-
Oh definitely, in reality it would help weapons an extra kick in the higher rounds where you are going to have the cash to use these elements. Having a vending machine that sells them or like I said picking them up from the undead
-
I'm not pretty sure if they implemented this idea they would find a way to balance it. To me it would add an extra layer to power ups/objectives without changing the horde mode main objective, survive. There are numerous ways this could be balance but it all depends on exactly what they have in place at the moment and how this would change that. I am sure they have made changes to the game but who knows if they are anything like this. I will dream 8-)

That's really cool, I had never seen that before. But that is pretty much the bulk of it, using different elements for different outcomes. It could be an interesting concept if executed correctly.
-
It would really open up gameplay mechanics that could allow for multiple uses for one gun. Like a sniper rifle that would shoot a round that blows up and freezes enemies or blows up and starts enemies on fire. Just imagine every gun being able to be different, you literally wouldn't need wonder weapons because you could make all your weapons, wonderful They could also have a vending machine that sells these elements and you can use them on any weapon. They would obviously be expensive since China doesn't sell things cheap :)

Pack-a-Punch Idea "Double PaP"
jc18378 replied to Rickety Cricket's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I understand the if it aint broke don't fix it but zombies have changed a lot since the first alliteration. Perks, bosses, gun upgrading, zombie types. If you start adding perks that make gameplay easier they need to balance that by adding different types of zombies to ramp up difficulty. Same with the upgrading of weapons, if you are making a gun more powerful you obviously need more fire power to take them down. It makes sense to add different gun upgrading systems if they ever plan on expanding the world they have neatly created. You can stay with the old stuff that works and basically do the same thing over and over again until it runs dry or you could make it better ;) -
multiple upgrades to weapons would be cool is if they used an upgrading system that required "rare earth elements" to upgrade. You could collect the elements either from dead zombies, or dead bosses and used those with the PaP machine to create different weapons with very different attributes. Like using different elements, 115 or anything else. It could make the weapon more powerful or extend ammo capacity but reduce power or add firepower but reduce ammo capacity. Those sorts of things. I'd imagine it would make the scavenge for elements to constantly be upgrading your arsenal fun and change up the gameplay. A shotgun that can shoot fire rounds or freezing rounds depending on the earth metal you use. I think this could be a really good next step to the PaP machine. Scandium- Allows for faster movement speed Yttrium- Weapons do radioactive damage, so after a zombie is shot, it starts to become infected with radiation, and slowly dies, with vomiting, and turning yellow, before their heads blow up. As rounds go on, zombies become immune to radiation, and it takes more for them to die. Lanthanum- makes player harder to be noticed by zombies while wielding the weapon Cerium- Weapons do fire damage when shot, so zombies take more damage after being shot for a short period of time. Praseodymium- Gives the player x-ray vision when aiming down sight, with increased penetration. Neodymium- Gives off ultra-violent rays, which damage zombies close to the player. Promethium- Gives the weapon electrical damage, which damages and slows down zombies. Samarium- Weapon has laser targeting, with reduced recoil, so aiming down the sights is unnecesary Europium- Any zombies shot with this will take longer to attack you in close range, and will never double swipe. Gadolinium- Zombies shot will stay close together, and will never group away. Holmium- All shots from the weapon do 'laser' damage, which makes it a lot more powerful, and can create crawlers. Lutetium- Weapon beeps very loudly when zombies are close and behind the player. Erbium- Gives the player increased health(By one hit) Thulium- All damage goes straight through zombies, and doesn't lose damage as it travels through zombies or objects. Ytterbium- Special zombies shot will lose their ability, and become normal zombies

Pack-a-Punch Idea "Double PaP"

I had made a similar post about doing multiple upgrades to weapons. But what would be cool is if they used an upgrading system that required "rare earth elements" to upgrade. Like using different elements, 115 or anything else. It could make the weapon more powerful or extend ammo capacity but reduce power or add firepower but reduce ammo capacity. Those sort of things. I'd imagine it would make the scavenge for elements to constantly be upgrading your arsenal fun and change up the wait to get ready for the next wave of zombies. -
I said F it a long time ago about a timeline ha ha

No, all that footage is old compared to what they showed last night. The footage is up on their website. They showed the start screen of the game, it's pretty badass! http://www.g4tv.com/videos/59394/call-o ... ideo-59393

Zombie reveal? What are you expecting?
jc18378 replied to jc18378's topic in General Zombies Discussion
However, you are giving false ideas of what people should expect in the thread. You are leading them to something that is not there, as a staff member, I recommend you change it. Meh, I'm providing with a reading opportunity, which in america is well needed. -
Zombie reveal? What are you expecting?
jc18378 replied to jc18378's topic in General Zombies Discussion
See I wouldnt care to hear about gameplay mechanics or anything like that. I either want to see gameplay with no explanation, that way speculation sets in and adds more excitement. Or a CGI trailer would pretty much do the same thing. I'm not changing the name of the thread, thanks for asking though. It's not false advertising since I am not selling a product. -
I have been thinking for quite sometime. I am of course thinking about the zombies reveal and how it will be unveiled. A trailer, CGI trailer, gameplay, or just the devs talking about the game with short clips of gameplay. What are you expecting to see on this reveal and how are you expecting on seeing this come out. I think I short movie would be amazing, like they did with zombie labs videos.

I am watching Feedback on G4tv.com and the panel said BOII has the best multiplayer in the whole series and they were blown away on how fun it was. They said they could not talk about it but they got to play and was amazingly refreshing I cannot wait!

I cannot to see how the campaign turns out! I love the story in campaign just as much as I love zombie's stories.
