  1. In black ops 2, playing with at LEAST 10 is almost required to be able to use any screen shakes. For those that don't know, screen shaking is an excellent way to squeeze yourself through a really narrow gap of 2 or more zombies. Watch some of Choppernator's NML videos to get an idea of what I'm talking about
  2. Lol by round 121 the Raygun should barely even be tickling the zombies. And no, the current record on Der Riese is held by KingJaqOffSuit at 198 (g-spawn error kept him from getting to 200)
  3. This topic will be discussing the Flamethrower from World at War in all of its awesomeness. These are the things we know about it: it doesn't use ammo, rather it needs to cool down after a short use, and it continues doing damage to any zombies who are on fire. On Nacht, you could hurt yourself and your teammates with it, but not on any later maps. Upgraded, it's range is increased, heat up time is slower, and cool down time is faster. But most importantly, it can kill zombies very quickly into very late rounds. I always just assumed that the flamethrower took a percentage of the zombies' health, and had a minimum damage, which would explain why it was even more effective on early rounds, but recently I've been wondering if this is actually the case. Does anyone else have any insight on to why this weapon is so ridiculously powerful?
  4. This, but in memory, the rounds actually start at 1,000,000, so the highest achievable round in theory is 2147. The only maps this is actually achievable in though is Verruckt and Shi No Numa for World at War, when there were only 24 zombies per round, and the flamethrower (which pretty much had infinite damage...)
  5. Lol so I was playing just the other day with a random and this happened to us at round 32. We did the same as you, running around for about 15 minutes searching, and finally decided to suicide our way out (We'd beaten his record). So there we are stading on the bringe, and i pull out a grenade and die, then watch him while he sprays the ground with his raygun. The INSTANT he went down, I watched the zombie come running out of the Type 100 room. Yea that pretty much sucked balls lolz
  6. Why even separate the two?.... No offense, but isn't that pretty obvious? For example, I won't use stamin-up in solo because there's no good reason. But if I'm playing a public match with a bunch of randoms who go half-way across the map 3 times per round, it's almost a necessity. Or perhaps the only reason I buy mule kick is so that I can get either the crossbow or the ballistics knife to revive teammates. Not to mention the differences that QR has between the 2... My personal preference is Solo: Jug, Speed, double tap, PhD Co-op: Jug, speed, mule-kick (for Krauss refibrillator), phd
  7. Exactly, skip black ops and add them for black ops 2... naaah bo1 beats bo2 Agreed. By a long shot.
  8. Can't tell if you're for the mod tools or against... :| I'm personally all for this. I'm a ps3 player at heart, but I will gladly break out my pc copy of blacks ops or bo2 to play some custom maps with those tools. Or even to create my own maps... awesome...
  9. Verruckt and shi no numa are COMPLETELY different. In the black ops updated maps, they work similarly to der riese on waw, but in waw, verruckt and shi no numa have the same zombie cap limit as nacht. Instead of having only 24 zombies (+6 per extra player) on the map at the same time, it's 24 zombies per round TOTAL. that's why the high ring on shi no numa is at 2147 - each round only takes about 7 seconds if you're using the wunderwaffe, and you get a refill on wunderwaffe ammo every 5 rounds due to hellhounds. Definitely worth getting shi no numa at least
  10. Awesome thanks! I'm gonna have to try this out as soon as possible :D
  11. Hey so I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos recently with custom built zombies maps. I didn't use to care too much, but it looks like newer maps are actually implementing things like self-reviving quick revive on solo, wonder weapons, and the newer perks, like flopper. However I don't know how to get access to these maps. I own a copy of WaW for pc. Could someone please give me a detailed description of how to do this? Or at least link me to a good tutorial? Really wanting to try some of these maps
  12. You're forgetting Nacht. I can't remember what campaign mission it was in but it was a part of Airfield
  13. I hope you realize that nacht der untoten, verruckt, shi no numa, and der riese were almost complete replicas of multiplayer maps right?
  14. The only problem with this is that there's no real ranking of powerful guns. If you have the rpd, the hk, and an upgraded galil, which is the most powerful? You might have your opinions, but that doesn't mean you're right
  15. I concur with 83457. I was playing last night and had stupidly taken the sliquifier as my third gun. At round 38 it was the only weapon I was using, and when I went down, I lost it, as I should have. You always lose the third gun, regardless of which gun is currently in your hands. Or at least this is how it was in BO1, and how it appears to be in BO2. If we're losing random guns now then that is crap...
  16. I hate to be "that guy," but you do realize that even though the fog was a major complaint, the real issue that lies between areas is the head humpers right? I agree that the game would be totally unfair if you could just run big loops between areas, but the point is that running from area to area is a major pain in the arse due to those annoying crawler things. The complaints dont target the inability to run trains in these areas, but rather the difficulty involved in running between them. The combination of the fog and the head humpers is what really stretches out rounds in TranZit. Not to mention that they are ANNOYING with both having to knife like crazy all the time and their screaming. I often mute my TV for the first couple of rounds on tranzit to avoid having to listen to them. So my point isn't that these mechanics shouldn't have been implemented, but rather, should have been implemented differently. TranZit could be MUCH more enjoyable if it weren't so difficult to move around. You said that you didn't play much zombies back in the WaW/BO1 era. In those days, you could very easily traverse any map any way you wanted. Now with BO2 we are forced to WAIT all the time! We have to wait for the bus, we have to wait for the teleporter to bring us to the right location, we have to wait for the elevator, and we have to wait for the trample steam to reset. People complain about round length all the time, and this running in circles with 1 zombie while you wait for the elevator to come pick you up is a major part of the problem Lol sorry about the rant. If you can't tell, I'm a little upset about the crap Treyarch has been giving us with this new game...
  17. See that in the bottom right corner? Looks a bit like a super 8 reel to me, more specifically, this; Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm quite certain that the bottom image is in fact Earth. It has the shattered image to display a "Broken World" kind of idea.
  18. I hate to say it, but Treyarch's version of 'customization' in zombies so far has been pretty bad. While multiple ways to play Turned is welcomed, don't expect much.
  19. Very good, I support this theory. I agree. If kicking miniaturized zombies was enough to kill them in Shangri-La, then so should having them slide into a wall from a sheet of ice. And since you brought up the Nitrogen thing, I think it is important to mention the qualities that we've seen in element 115. So far we've seen plasma, electricity, energy blasts, and, most importantly for this point, FREEZING (Winter's Howl).
  20. See this is exactly what I'm talking about. By this logic,I can safely say that Die Rise (and Green Run for that matter) should not have a PaP machine because that is strictly survival mode. Same with the power switch honestly. As for the helicopter, I'm glad that people are suggesting methods of 'walking' between areas, however, it still makes the helicopter a completely safe haven where no zombies can attack you. What would keep people from just riding the helicopter indefinitely? As long as that door is shut, you're pretty much invincible.
  21. So it seems pretty obvious that Treyarch wouldn't just drop their most recent and biggest addition to zombies, tranZit. And so a lot of people are suggesting that our new mode of transportation will be a helicopter. Let's think about that. In green run we had a bus. A ground unit with boarded windows so that the zombies couldn't get in. How could this be pulled off with a helicopter? Furthermore, say you missed the bus. Oh well, looks like your walking right? How can you possibly walk from one rooftop to another? And finally, doesn't that mean that the majority of our locations will be rooftops? How boring is that... I've tried explaining this, but I can't come up with anything that makes sense. They could add some sort of flying enemy to replace the denizens, but we still couldn't go from one building to another. They could use an elevator as transportation, but then it could only take place in a single building, which we already know is incorrect. The only logical thing I can come up with is that Die Rise will not be a tranZit map, which I am TOTALLY fine with, but some people probably will not be. Any ideas on this?
  22. Der Riese-ey like notes and stuff that hint toward storyline. I miss that kind of stuff... And also, some explanation toward any new "zombie" type they throw at us. I mean seriously, we were able to get a bit of info about the nova 6, hellhounds, monkeys, etc. So why do we suddenly have these denizens that look kinda like zombified babies? seriously...
  23. I agree. It's either first person to hit a certain round, or else it might be timed? Person with the most time as the human wins? Only problem with that is that the human player could just endlessly run away from the zombies and win every time...
  24. Most of my friends don't have any DLC maps but are still fairly good. I am trying to get them to get the DLCs but they don't want to... So now I have an opportunity to let them do that for free... But isn't that, like, illegal? Or at least hifhly unethical? I don't know, man. I'll see. But i think I'll stay over here on the light side of the Schwartz. Ok as someone said earlier, you can only share DLC with ONE other PSN account. Keep that in mind when you go to share your content
  25. Lol sounds legit
