I think the water tower will have a BIG part in the Easter Egg. Something as major and big as that hardly goes unused.

I'm actually hoping we start out with only a shank.

Mob of the Dead Trailer Analysis! NOW WITH "MAKING OF" VIDEO
JMDogg replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Mob of the Dead
I've been thinking maybe we feed the "demon" zombies, and doing so will give us some sort of reward? Edit: Possibly think of this demon as "Fluffy" from Harry Potter. It blocked the characters from getting into a special room. Maybe this demon does the same. -
This. It would keep you on your toes as maybe they'd randomly come down every few rounds.
-
There's also hanging "men" shown in the trailer, when it shows the characters. I really do enjoy the eerie feel of the map. It reminds me very much of the World at War maps with their grittiness and the feeling of always being watched.
-
I can't see Purgatory being buyable.. I think it'll literally be a period where we die, yet can see special things, waiting until we can be reincarnated.
-
Something interesting I've noticed, the only other time we've seen Zombies with RED eyes, was Dead Ops Arcade in the original Black Ops.
-
You've never played Grand Theft Auto: Vice City? Ray Liotta is the voice of Tommy Vercetti.
-
If they were actors filming a movie, Treyarch would have said that in the description like they did with Call of the Dead. Treyarch flat out said this is set during the prohibition era.
-
A7x posted a picture of them in the studio the other day. Could be for their new album but it's definitely interesting.
-
No shit? I knew there was something familiar about that cell.
-
I'm hoping it's not a "mini game." It's gotta be related to the Easter Egg, or when you're in that mode, maybe you can see things that people that aren't in Purgatory can't see.
-
In the trailer, is the bridge destroyed or under construction?
-
I was actually a bit offended by that comment actually. I feel like people wouldn't be on this website if they didn't care about the story. And there's a thread that mentions that the date of the map is PAST 1941, so Maxis is possible.
-
This is phenomenal! This opens up the opportunity for someone like Maxis to be controlling the Zombies!
-
Based off of this, would the hounds from the Survival maps of TranZit not be hellhounds?
-
Understandable, having OCD while on forums sucks. But it's a good post, and I'm interested to see more from you.

Could have easily posted this in my thread. Clutter is frustrating.

I have a feeling Who's Who was a one time perk.

I'm hoping it's something real scary, something that'll make players' hairs stand up on their arms and the back of their necks. But thanks! I'm glad someone here appreciates this haha

The same thing was said about the characters in Call of the Dead, and look how that turned out. Storyline was amazing, map layout was amazing, and it was perfectly balanced. the story of the map was ok, but its significance directly to the zombies storyline was minimal. obviously there were several radios which def helped the backstory, but as far as advancing the story all it really did was teleport the O4 from one place to another.... it was really just bridging the gap so to speak "Bridging the gap" isn't necessarily a bad thing though. Plus, change is never a bad thing, and if this map is anything like Call of the Dead, then the Easter Egg will be good, and hopefully we'll be in contact with the O4.
-
Nobody cares about the storyline anymore lol That's not even remotely true.

In a "new twist" on the zombie mode, "if a player becomes an unfortunate victim, 'Mob of the Dead's' new feature known as 'Purgatory' sends players into the afterlife." No further details, beyond new challenges and a "unique experience," were revealed about the zombie mode's 'Purgatory' feature." http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/04/black-ops-2-uprising-dlc-adds-new-maps-zombie-adventure-on/
