NEW HD Ascension Videos, Easter Eggs and more! *UPDATED 2/2*
Gross1985 replied to carbonfibah's topic in Ascension
I heard PhD Floppers taste like prunes. Those must be some crazy prunes if they can cause big explosions when someone does an epic movie dive. -
Well the COD Wikia states that the voice is reminiscent of Dmitri Petrenko. If that's true, then I guess someone decided to drag poor Dima into this whole Zombies thing, as if dying like an animal wasn't bad enough.

http://www.mediafire.com/?ms85nr8b6dwi44j I was watching a 10-minute gameplay clip of Ascension, and someone was playing as Nikolai. Last night I was eating my pasta dinner while watching & listening to the video, then at 6:53-ish of the video Nikolai let out the funniest "F*ck!" I've heard in a long time. I decided to rip the video and procure the part where he goes "Fawk!" You can use this sound file for whatever you wish for, like using it for an error sound on your computer, or anything else.

What if "X" is Evelyn Cross? Then again that's something someone said on the COD Wikia, though that person's speculation sort of makes sense because an X is sometimes compared to a cross.

Are hit detection problems still happening for you guys?
Gross1985 replied to Commander034's topic in Black Ops
There are hit-detection issues for burst-rifles (M16 & G11), LMG's (mostly the HK21 & RPK), and semi-auto rifles (M14 & FN FAL). As for sniper-rifles, I've not had too much experience with them, but I'm sure they're difficult to wield, especially considering the lack of suitable sniping maps in MP. -
Recently I've been trying at the CIA-DS but I've had no real luck at all.....often times I feel as though if I already discovered anything, someone else already did prior, but that's beside the point. We still don't know the passwords to hkissinger, jehoover, or sagnew, do we? I've been fixated with trying to get into Hoover's account but, as I said already, I've had no luck. I tried the password "freemason" because he was apparently a freemason in real-life, but that didn't work. How much do you want to bet that we won't know anything until the first DLC is released? Of course, Xbox 360 players will get to try their luck first, whereas we PS3'ers and PC'ers have to wait another month....but the PC'ers have an advantage, because they can access game files and stuff like what was shown in the OP. The bolded, italicized words in the quote denote my decoding of the letter-string; it was originally "EE", but when I decoded it I got "E T" and subsequently edited that part of the article. Also, on a sidenote, who exactly is "D. King"? We don't know his first name. But I think I know what "MFK" means; I Googled it today and found one "Made For Kings", which is rather peculiar...

Oh my God. I just had to make an edit of that image; it's so fitting.

I've been searching online recently for any information concerning GK and I didn't find jack-$h!t......but I do recall that some people here on CODZ have posted images of the GK logo being somewhere in the game, either on a Campaign map or on a Zombies map, though I've never seen the GK logo anywhere in the game with my own eyes. As for what "GK" means, I have a feeling it's "Gorki-Korolev", short for "Gorki-Korolev Medical", some Czechoslovakian corporation (oxymoron?) that has aided in smuggling in Nova-6 into the American border. GKM, as it's called, is detailed in various Intel pieces you collect from Campaign; deeper information concerning GKM can be found after you collect all the Intel from WMD. I do have to admit, though, that I was sort of let down in some ways; part of my hype for COD:BO involved figuring out this "GK corporation" or something. It would've felt interesting to have a COD game antagonist be a corporation.....or if it weren't a corporation, maybe they could've been a group, especially considering that the "GK group" are involved in some chain of command documented in the late-July GKNOVA6 Live Drop. But I try to hold on to hope; I hope they expand upon GK, GKM, whatever you want to call it....even if they expand upon it in Zombies and nowhere else (still hopefully about Campaign DLC...).

Why didn't I get a COD newsletter? Oh well.....very good find. I'd give you brains but I brained someone recently so I have to wait...

I did a transcription of KristinaBio.txt from Ryan Jackson's account on the CIA-DS; this is just in case anyone's curious about the origins of this Kristina girl. Or, if you don't wish to get the .PDF document, I'll put it here. Kristina is Weaver's niece, and the one who is supposedly going to seduce Alex Mason during Operation Charybdis (of course you knew that already). She sounds like a real hottie at first, but I'm sure she's one tough bitch, especially after going through what she's gone through. Hopefully Treyarch will shed light into all this in the near future; as I've said already here and there, DLC for Campaign would be sweet.
-
I think GruB is "Gross" or something? I forget. The B is actually a ß, isn't it? ß would be "ss" when pronouncing it. Pardon me for sounding dumb here; I just got finished typing up a transcript of KristinaBio.txt and am in the process of sharing it in case anyone's curious... UPDATE Oh wait; I think I found it. Click here if you want to know what "Gruß" means.

Perk-a-Colas that offer lightweightedness & a larger ammunition capacity sound like great ideas too, but I've not had time to dabble in those concepts.....mostly because I can't think of a good brand name for Lightweight or Scavenger. Can you imagine the M60 when it's PAP'ed? What should the PAP'ed name be? I was thinking "M600", with the number denoting the amount of rounds in the magazine.....but that would make it "overpowered". :(

A lot of people are saying that COD:BO is getting boring. I don't know about boring, but MP is certainly repetitive. I'm already Level 26 in 8th Prestige; I just unlocked the AUG and I plan on having my way with it later today, but sometimes I wish there were more in MP........for example, lately I've been missing Ballistic Shields. :?
-
Well.... Takeo not so much. Takeo's getting a little better. He's just too serious for the most part; it's part of his nature. He doesn't have much of a sense of humor compared to the others, but there are some parts that will make you laugh.....or at least they make me laugh. My two favorite lines of his from Kino are "This is a picture of a great warrior!" and "That should keep them out for a thousand years!.....er, well, a few seconds." Sometimes I chuckle when he says "Give him a hand! Hahahaha!" because sometimes a most basic joke like that can be funny sometimes.

Hmm. Curious.....there have been people on the CODHQ Forums who have said that they played Ascension. The first thread I opened, however, ended with saying "I hope you enjoyed my fake story. ".... OP, these are serious claims you have. We look forward to photographic evidence of your experience with Ascension. ;)

[quote name="SOURCE on CODHQ Forums, link http://www.callofduty.com/board/viewtop ... 1&t=389132 "]The M60 & the PPSh-41, and an Amm-O-Matic. If these things could be implemented into Ascension, that would be quite sweet, and a lot of people besides myself would appreciate it. There has been a petition in the CODHQ Forums for the M60 to be put into Zombies..... http://www.callofduty.com/board/viewtop ... h4511eo6d7 ....but there has also been a thread or two about how much people miss the PPSh-41. The PPSh-41 has always been a beastly gun, even in Zombies, and of course when PAP'ed it becomes a real thrill to use. In light of everything, it's a shame that the PPSh-41 isn't returning to this installment of the Zombies series, The Amm -O-Matic was a discarded concept in COD:WAW, but I think it's something the developers should look into implementing. The reason for this is because there are a lot of cool weapons you can obtain from the Mystery Box, such as the FAMAS, AUG, and various other "modern" weapons.....but there is no ammo to acquire for it, and you'd be lucky to find a Max Ammo item, especially in the later rounds when you will get surrounded by zombies and you'd be silly to take the risk of trying to pick up an item fallen from a zombie. The Amm-O-Matic supposedly appears similar to a Perk-a-Cola machine, but I don't know how it works. My idea would be that you obviously pay the required number of points, and then your ammunition is restocked. It could come in handy for when things get tight and you need ammo and can't run to the Mystery Box or the shelf where you bought your weapon. If they were to put in a catch to how the Amm-O-Matic works, like say if you purchased ammo from it and cannot use it for a certain amount of time after, I'm willing to accept that. Anyway, for now, these are my three requests for any and all future Zombies DLC.....the M60, the PPSh-41, and an Amm-O-Matic. The choice is obviously all up to Treyarch (and Raven Software, who'll be handling the DLC).....but I'm just pitching this idea out there and hoping CODHQ takes notice of this and at least takes it into consideration. Until then, good luck to everyone, and happy gaming. So, what do you guys think of these ideas?

Lawl. If that happens, my dear Bryan is going to cry, because Richtofen's his favorite character. But then again, someone may have to be sacrificed to make room for that mysterious individual in that portrait in Kino. Obviously, whoever gets sacrificed, we lose, because we've all gotten attached to Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Edward.

FOREWORD If this has already been figured out, then do the right thing and delete this thread. Otherwise, I discovered something on YouTube. I think the number "6" in the riddle in Kino Der Toten doesn't have to do with Round 6 or Nova-6. It has to do with the number of radio transmissions. lIUfD-T4t3U As I said, you all are probably way ahead of me; I've been so wrapped up in MP that I've not had time to meddle around in Zombies. Of course, if you have a computer and COD:BO, you can explore a lot of these maps much more easily and yield optimal results. Me, I thought there were only 3 film-reels... Plus, I totally forgot about Subject 26 in my teaser video. :(

Thank you, everyone, for the positive commentary on my video. 8-) Thank you. I threw in those two images ("Wendee" and the blank portrait) just for a tease, but also in hopes that they will be clarified in the upcoming DLC. The name "Wendee" is what I could make out at the corner of those portraits in Kino Der Toten. For some reason I keep thinking "Wendee Lee"; it would make sense if Wendee Lee was a voice-actor, considering that Steve Blum is a voice-actor in Zombies, and those two have worked together in various animes, one in particular being Cowboy Bebop. However, "Wendee" could be someone else and may not hint at future voice-actors for the Zombies storyline. Hell, "Wendee" could just be the photographer of those portraits or something. Unfortunately, the Grey Place you speak of doesn't come from anything from COD:BO, though now that you mentioned it perhaps I should've looked there just to make the video more interesting. You can always click on the title on the video and it should take you to the YouTube page.

I think I released this too soon; I should've waited until January 1st, but I'm going to be gone that day, and at the time I couldn't find anything more for this video (or maybe I could've now that I realize it). UpV6weJP3rU I took the liberty of throwing in hidden images in the video, but I want to hint to you that you won't find anything officially related to what we can expect on February 1st (or a month later for non-Xbox'ers), as this is all speculation.

Well, effective as of 12/27/2010; 5:41PM CST..........the Vitruvian Monkey is gone. When you go on GKNOVA6.com you will see the loading circle spin for a while, then fade to black, and then the September version of the TV screens will display. There doesn't appear to be anything else, let alone anything interactive. Man...looking at all those displays makes me wish Zombies had all that the TV's were showing. Shame most of the spiffier things, like NBC soldiers, a chopper crashing, and burnt corpses....they were all just for the Campaign. Right? I mean what else could it be? Maybe a sequel to Dead Ops Arcade?.....of course I think that would be sad, because as fun as Dead Ops Arcade is, it just doesn't feel the same as the Zombies mode we all recognize and love (first-person shooting, etc).

lRoJkrVStZ0 Looks like you guys beat me to it.

Currently my biggest complaints are the lag and occurrences of choppy framerates which literally slow down your game and screw up your ability to play and even land hits on enemies. But that's because I'm a PS3 player, and as far as I know, these technical troubles are exclusive to the PS3 format. But in spite of all that, I like COD:BO MP. People are just b!tching because they're overreacting and feeling like nothing went their way. They should've expected challenges and other details, like how the RC-XD requires 2-3 kills to use (depending on if you're wearing Hardline). People should be griping more about technical, mechanical flaws in COD:BO MP such as the aforementioned issues I stated above, instead of crying about weapons being "overpowered" or other things they themselves could put to use in-game instead of ranting and screaming over being on the receiving end of them.....such as the advantages of Hardline Pro. 8-)
