I figured it out! They went from Der Riese to Kino, forward in time to CoTD, back in time to S-L, and then to Ascension in the past Again, the gersch quote. Ascension before cotd AHH! Well, we know they went from DR to Kino. In S-L, they don't have the injuries they do have in Ascension. So CoTD is after Ascension, but Shangri-La is before Ascension, but after Kino. Right?

See, where did a spy come into this? What does he have to do with anything? The magazine is dynamite, the date shows March 15th, 1961 I think. Based off appearances, it makes sense that it would be before Ascension, it's not like they changed clothes, grew a stache, and healed wounds. They wouldn't use old skins if they had the new ones, that just wouldn't make sense IMHO. I think it has to be before Ascension after Kino.

I believe it will just be a new wonder weapon, that's all he means. And I doubt the AK47 will appear.

So! In the Call of the Dead Easter Egg, we hear them say they went to far into the future, so that would mean they would go back in time correct? If they are just coming from Ascension, then it would be likely to assume it is between Ascension and CoTD. According to the trailer, they have their clean uniforms, Richtofen no longer has his cut on his cheek from Ascension, and Takeo has a mustache he didn't have in Ascension. The uniforms are from Kino der Toten, implying it is between Kino and Ascension. If Shangri-La IS between Kino and Ascension, that would mean CoTD is also since they came to Shangri-La from CoTD. Given the characters we play as (Tejo, etc.) it doesn't make sense to be in the 70's-ish. It seems to me that there are many opportunities here for it to be many different time periods. Given that many think it's between Ascension and CoTD, I can't see that they changed clothes, grew a stache, and healed a wound. That doesn't sound likely. Please post where you feel this ranks. We know they had to go to Kino from Der Riese. So the went from DR to Kino, to CoTD, then to S-L, and up to Ascension. That fits with quotes made, and them changing clothes!

Can you find a picture pl0x? And I heard Tak had no mustache during Ascension, true? Pic? So (time period wise) they went from SNN, to DR, to Kino, to CoTD, to S-L, then Ascension Cuz they didn't go to S-L w/o getting to CoTD, so that would put it between Kino and Ascension also right?

In my honest opinion, the dates just represent that we are time travelling. Also, I think the phones are recordings, otherwise they went back in time to Ascension w/o a teleporter (unless S-L is between here, which I think it is.) Also Cuban Missile Crisis ended October 29, '62. So FIVE is no later than that.

I have edited the Ascension section, thanks to BlindBusDrivr for helping sort out the rocket thing, this might be edited a few more times tonight, but they will only be small changes, I doubt anything regarding dates unless I learn new SNN info.

Shangri-La is called modern paradise. This IS the paradise. But what baffles me is that they say that they went TOO FAR INTO THE FUTURE, coming from the map before CoTD, Ascension. So does that mean that they were trying to go somewhere not as far as CoTD and re-tracked to Shangri-La, between Ascension and Call of the Dead? I can't tell. And Map Pack 4 will be Area 51 since they have the model for the map already, it's incredibly simple to make the Zombies map now.
