@GRILL, I've been a big proponent of the Moon, Nuketown, and No Man's Land being in the 1960s as opposed to the future. He could be bulletproof because of all the top secret places they're going? I'm not sure, but that's my best guess as of now. To that, I have to make a slight disagreement in your wording. Marlton never states that he doesn't recognize the bus, and he never states that he does. The only thing he says in regards to the bus is:"Why would anyone ever automate an artificial driver?" As for how Marlton got from Nuketown to Green Run, there are four options. He could either walk or use some sort of craft. Keep note that when I say forced, I don't mean someone forced him, I mean there were no other options so he had to. He could of used a craft - because he voluntarily took a craft, like the bus - because he was "forced" to take a craft there, but that doesn't make much sense to me If he walked to Green Run: - because he voluntarily walked, knowing Green Run was there - because he was "forced" to walk by not being able to get out of the shelter and had to take the connecting tunnel Now, I personally don't see him taking the bus there, it just sounds kind of odd to take the bus 1000 miles over a massively deteriorated crust. On top of that, it would require either the bus to be automatically set to go to Green Run, which I doubt, or he programmed it to go there. I don't believe he knew of Green Run's existence, and if he did, why go there? He never mentions anything special or of interest about the map, so I don't see him just walking back for no apparent reason. As stated, I don't see any reason to be forced to take a craft, so that option's out for me. That leaves voluntarily walking or walking by "force", and as stated I don't foresee him knowing about Green Run to willingly walk there. To me, that just leaves the option that he walked through a connecting tunnel, seeing as how there're shelters in Green Run. Granted, if he were to walk through a connecting tunnel, then the idea that the bus could be programmed to go there is plausible because that means there's a connection. But I still hold that a bus driving 1000 miles on this crust is less likely.

Because Richtofen is able to set a time and date, I don't believe that he is able to tap into a wormhole because then you'd have to hope there's one out there that's sending you to where you want to go. Even then, you have to get to a wormhole to go through it. The teleporter could create a temporary wormhole that collapses after you go through it, or it just acts as an artificial one. I personally think it's the latter, but I'd have to put more thought into it.

I have yet to find anything on the Internet where someone states what the knife writing is, unfortunately. I too would love to know.

The way I have always seen the transference of matter is that the 115 breaks down the original object to the molecular level and sends it to the end point. The process looks somewhat like an hourglass, where you've got the full object at the beginning and as the energy breaks you down to a molecular level, it becomes more and more compact before you pass through the point at the center of the glass, the absolute zero point, and begin to reconstruct on the other side. Now, I disagree that we are travelling through the air near the speed of light and that's what's allowing us to time travel. Using the hourglass example above, I believe that the absolute zero point mentioned is us actually traveling through another dimension, which we all call Aether. The time travel is occurring because we are actually traveling through a wormhole. As far as evidence to back this up, one in particular is on Der Riese, where the words "Return Through Aether" in the image below is written on the wall. I believe this is referencing the teleporters and that we are going through Aether.

I saw that the Asylum and Research Facility was back, so I want to thank everyone for that. I am obsessed with organization and now that I'm back in college, I have more time than when I was working during summer. Origins left many with questions as to how Maxis was around for the rest of our story after dying. Was he a Quadrotor that whole time? Did Richtofen put his brain in a new body? Though people believe these theories I believe the answers already exist. This is the first time we see Ludvig Maxis (chronologically speaking). He is already quite old, possible late 50's to mid 60's it is hard to tell, which shows he would not have been fit to have a young daughter and work with 935 all the way up to 1941 and beyond. This plays a vital role in the theory. In spite of this Maxis is infected and dies. Richtofen takes out his brain and preserves it to only later put it in a Quadrotor. This was used instead of a new body for the time being. Then throughout the map Maxis helps us with many things, giving us an upgraded gun, reviving players and killing the zombies. All so we will save his daughter Samantha who hasn't been born yet but he still cares for and loves as he is her father. After the Easter Eggs completion Maxis ascends into Agartha and saves Samantha. Now for this post I want the end cut scene ignored, this takes place within the map not outside of it like in the ending. Note Samantha had been controlling the zombies as they had yellow eyes and for other in game reasons. This meant she could control the undead from Agartha. When Maxis saved her he had to enter Agartha. Since he had a greater grasp of this realm and could possibly use it to his advantage he did a number of things. First he wiped the characters memories of the event and sent them back to where they should be. Next he banished the undead from the excavation site as he could control them. Finally he created himself a body again, not just any body mind you but a younger one. This is where him being old came into play. I do not know if this particular image is real but it does like like Maxis and fits in with the theory. He did this for 2 reasons. The first to pursue improve the human condition as he was meant to, the second was to be a good father to Samantha. It is unknown whether he got married and used his new wife as a fake mother to Sam or not (Her existence probably has been explained and/or will be explained in due time.) As he aged more and more again he realized he needed a younger body again. This is where he aimed to venture to Agartha again which brings us to Buried. That is my theory if there is anything that I have missed or need to add please reply in the comments and also tell me your opinions. Also yes people believe Origins is in a different universe but I really feel like it is part of our story. After all it is named Origins.

I love the final ranks being high up there like that, thank you guys for taking that in and making it happen. So now, I want to know, how do we let people understand that there's a difference between the Original Characters medals and the Original Characters userbars? What do we think the level of confusion, or rather, implied misinformation, could be at?

With the current setup of 5000 posts being max, I think 100 brains is okay. I keep failing to remember that getting brains doesn't come in packets of 10 anymore, a brain is just a single brain. Note: I'm a huge advocate for making these requirements stricter. I feel like each should be doubled (10,000 and 200). However, that's neither here nor there as that's beating a dead horse, seeing as I posted that earlier, so please don't respond to this portion, just wanted it to be heard, not necessarily replied to.

Understandable. My only concern is that as the final tier, I felt it should be something that's difficult to obtain and that only a few will get, even if the site is online for years to come. Some members have it, some are coming up on it, and obviously, the more that people have it, the less prestigious it is. I think that it's not unreasonable to think that before we know it, more people will be Zombie God and it's just another title. That's why I suggested 10,000, because it would be truly special and equally as rare. While it may not be happening anytime soon, I believe now would be a better time than any to implement it, as we're already going through this process of implementation.

That's a very tough question, and it depends entirely how you view Origins. I'm inclined, right now, to say yes, sort of, but we'll have to wait I think.

This is a great thread, well thought out. I've been wondering for some time now if Broken Arrow was actually the CDC Headquarters. He mentions how the headquarters was destroyed, which would be on par with Saber 10 dropped a bomb on Broken Arrow. Saber 10 mentions that there were no survivors and not a viable FOB, and Barkley mentions that before the destruction, there was contamination on site, which seems like a good reason for there not to be a viable FOB. We know that Russman worked at Broken Arrow and in the opening cinematic for one of the maps, I don't remember which right now, he is walking out of a tall building, which I could see as the CDCHQ as opposed to Nuketown. Plus, Saber 10 mentioned that Broken Arrow was burning files to cover up their part in the outbreak, which seems plausible, perhaps they were working with a disease and it accidentally gets released, which happens in labs all the time. I really like your theory though, this is a great thread!

I really did appreciate all the debate, I think it's a necessary part As for your question regarding the SOS, we never really came to a conclusion. The Treyarch post states "the war" was "demanding every ounce of strength we can muster," but when we worked out the timelines, I think we said that this SOS couldn't have originated until after the war ended, if I remember correctly.

*We're coming up on the four year anniversary of this thread (had to repost on new forum) so I've revamped it with new Der Eisendrache information, please read until end as much of the beginning is slightly incorrect now* Shi No Numa and Takeo: The Entwined History In World War II, there was a biological weapons research and human experimentation team known as Unit 731, and they had many compounds. One of the compounds was in the very southern parts of Pingfang, Manchuria, where their excuse for the facility's existence was that it was a lumber mill, so they had logs and wood everywhere. Rumor from around the compound is that they referred to their human specimens as "logs." In the Rebirth intel for the campaign, it states that there was "Japanese biological research in Manchuria on the part of the Imperial Army's covert R&D group Unit 731." The Imperial Army was taking part in it, you say? Seems appropriate, seeing as Takeo Masaki is a Captain in the Imperial Army, judging by the stars on his uniform. Also note that Shi No Numa has wood all throughout the complex, not to mention The Flogger, made from wood. Some of you might say that there was no human experimentation going on inside Shi No Numa and that Takeo Masaki likely had no involvement in it, if it was there. However, I will kill two birds with one stone here and quote something from Takeo's biography, given by Treyarch: That sounds pretty disturbing to me, doesn't seem like a stretch for him to be involved in human experimentation. As noted in the Rebirth intel, it states there was Japanese research in Manchuria. However, some will point out that in Kino der Toten and on the Call of Duty website, quotes reference Shi No Numa as being in Japan, as opposed to where Manchuria was, which was China: "I found another rock. Maybe they stole this from Japan..." - vox_plr_2_egg_pedastool_1 "... we've pinned what sounds like an SOS signal to a remote jungle location in Japan." On the original thread, though, I feel as though AlphaSnake put it very clearly: Then, in a Origins Letter from the Field, Takeo mentions that he fought in the "battle of Muken" and his "leadership & victory" had been brought to the Emperor's attention. Now, there's no such "battle of Muken" in World War I, so what it appears he's talking about is the "Battle of Mukden" that took place between the Japanese and Russians in 1905, which the Japanese coincidentally did get a victory. If you're curious what Mukden is, it was the capital of Manchuria, which puts Takeo in Manchuria. Two counterarguments that I can't reconcile are the sound files of the Kookaburra and Hyena, both of which aren't found in Manchuria, but can be found in New Guinea, as Matuzz points out in his thread (I can't locate the CoDz version). DER EISENDRACHE EDIT New information has recently come to light with Der Eisendrache. In a radio, we heard one Dr. Groph discussing a Division #9's more ambitious weapons designs (prior to discovering Element 115), so it was immediately assumed by me and many others that Division #9 meant Germany's own 9th SS Panzer Division. I mean after all, the SS has heavy Group 935 ties and the division is a Panzer division. Then, we got a cipher (partially) saying that "After the success at the Rising Sun Facility, Division #9 is moving with Phase #2" and that the "island facility" was also operational. Immediately, the frame switched from not a German 9th Division, but a Japanese one. If that wasn't enough, it was found shortly thereafter that scraps of paper were littered through Der Eisendrache, each with Japanese writing on it. The translation is rough (reason in link above), but Takeo is writing to the Emperor and the very end mentions that he is now on the island. Additionally, he makes clear that Division #9 is present. @Matuzz, being the skilled theorist that he is, then went and found the Imperial Army's 9th Division (and wow). Their 9th Division went to both the Battle of Mukden in 1905 and were permanently re-located to Manchuria in 1940. I may have been off about the initial Unit 731 information four years ago, but I seemed to be on the right track with Manchuria! Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed,
