  1. I think the Shrine always said Richtofen, after Richtofen visited in the mid 1900s he was viewed as a very powerful person and they made the shrine for him. Same way that in an unused quote (I know you think they hold less canon-ity) there was a full statue of him. "Uh, that looks a little like Richtofen doesn't it. Odd." - quest_step8_9 "That statue looks a little familiar, no?" - quest_step8_9 "Why does that statue resemble Richtofen?" - vox_plr_2_quest8_9 You missed the point entirely. "Richtofen" was inscribed into the stone as a glyph only after 935 made contact (through Richtofen). It's not hard to imagine this was done more so. So much so that zombies were mentioned in one. Well I'm suggesting that they didn't tamper with the stone to make it say Richtofen, I'm suggesting that it has always said that since he got there.

  3. Actually, the thing about the zombies is more because of the glyphs. Brock was saying something along the lines oh, "Oh, look at this... hm..." Then the zombies came, and he wasn't surprised. Apparently the carvings mentioned zombies. Interesting idea, haven't heard it before. It would make a lot more sense than him somehow knowing about the Zombies already.
  4. We've got a thread on the good and evil aspects of these characters, try to consolidate them if possible viewtopic.php?f=152&t=33338
  5. That's a theory I played around with many many times, but I can't bring myself to accept it. If Maxis had truly died and the idea of reincarnation was proposed, that'd one thing, but they're mentioned as two different people while they are both alive, so as of now I can't really accept it. It's well thought out though Brock and Gary are using walkie talkies, and the type they're using weren't made until about the 1900s or 2000s.
  6. I was under the impression that that scene signified that they walked from one place to the other, not that that's where they stopped walking and took refuge
  7. The world map also shows Green Run in Southern California, so I don't know exactly how accurate these world maps are. There may be something more, but as of now I think it's safe to go with the assumption that it is until new information comes to light.
  8. I take the world maps with a grain of salt, because they showed Green Run in Southern California when it's actually in Washington. I don't know how Treyarch messes up these world maps.
  9. I don't update the thread based on the likelihood right now, I insert minimum times as we go along until we find more information and then I make the call on whether the map is supposed to take place in the future, past, etc., but I'm still looking for more. We're only a few days into this map haha
  10. Maxis was giving him the orders, that is correct. He was passing them down from Reichstag, but still seemed pretty passionate about the orders. I just think that his intentions of killing the inhabitants of Earth isn't exactly evil, he's sparing them from Richtofen's torment.
  11. GRILL made a great thread on Angola and its connection: viewtopic.php?f=152&t=33242
  12. I think that we will have one more map this game, coming out around September, and that all of this is the beginning of the end of the storyline. Or at least, the storyline as we know it.
  13. The word AI is misleading to me, that's not the right word to describe Maxis's state. But Maxis is not evil, like I said before, he is saving the human race by killing them.
  14. No. Maxis isn't evil. Just your perception of him. Precisely. Maxis is not the evil one here, Richtofen is.
  15. Agartha is not a new planet, it's a mythical city inside of the Earth, to which Shangri-La is an entrance. It follows the Hollow Earth theory, and below is a quote from my thread that was believed by the Nazi's:
  16. I've just read it around, was told about it once. I don't know where the original source is, but I'm hearing it a lot and just haven't seen any backing for it. *cough*PTG*cough* Aha. Well they've been right very much recently, with this egg and the last one, considering they have an inside source. However, I do want to see the evidence for the Horn of Africa, otherwise I'm sticking with Angola for now.
  17. If he becomes the demonic announcer, then at that point they ARE saved from Richtofen (at least presumably). Anything further is Maxis' own doing... such as destroying them and the planet. He becomes an announcer, but Richtofen keeps announcer voice as well so I don't think he has absolute control and can protect everyone from Richtofen. I may be wrong, but we will find out as we go along.
  18. I've just read it around, was told about it once. I don't know where the original source is, but I'm hearing it a lot and just haven't seen any backing for it.
  19. I don't have the map, or an online connection so I can't see the location in the world map. However, the world map can be off sometimes, like with Green Run being shown in Southern California. But cool, thank you.
  20. I don't know how you believe that if you've seen the end of the easter egg. Destroying the remaining life on earth isn't evil? Lying about repairing the earth to get people to do your dirty work isn't evil? Face it man, he is evil. Even if he was just trying to get back at Richtofen, he is evil. He wants to destroy the human race and the planet, this is true. However, I base whether he is evil or not on the intentions, not the action. He is saving them by killing them, basically. Saving them from Richtofen, from everything he can and will do to the human race. I haven't seen the entire EE, but that is how I am perceiving all this.
  21. I personally don't believe that Maxis is evil
  22. I was told it was in the Horn of Africa. I can't confirm, but Angola was my original idea but I've heard otherwise many times
  23. I'll see what I can do :)
  24. In my opinion, the watch was stopped as the EMP went off. I made a thread here: viewtopic.php?f=100&t=25336
  25. Yup, I missed that, thank you a ton. Also, like in my other thread, looking for critique on how to make it better, whether it be aesthetically or on the content :)
