If I'm not mistaken in the panel at COD xp Collin Ayers said that they named the Samantha character basically because the community after hearing that sound effect of the zombie scream decided it sounded like "sam" thus they named a character and started building around it Mhmm, they said that we at CoDz basically created the character because someone here posted asking who Sam was and that one of the Zombies was saying it, when that actually isn't true because the character was never thought of before that! CoDz ftw!

I'd have to hear all the dialogue from each side to be able to tell for sure because hell, Maxis may have a quote like that too and it could settle it. When you say it like that, it's very possible, but we can't tell for sure until we hear it in context with the other quotes.

I think he means that in the German version of the game, somewhere it says 'navigationskarte' which is German for Navigation Card.

"Mend the rift?" - Stu As in the time rift. As you can see, they get transported back to the begining of the map, when they first arrived. Hence: "Haven't we been here before" Richtofen, or whatever that grabled voice was, needed Stu to power up the tower, he failed, and Richtofen....reset time? When did Richtofen learn to reset time? If that was the case, Richtofen could've reset time a million times in Green Run until Stu did what he said. Right when you think you have all the answers, Treyarch changes the question. Maybe there's a higher power at play. I've got a feeling he isn't referring to the time rift, though. I mean it's possible but he standing on the edge of the skyscraper, looking at the other one. The High Maintenance achievement says that you are the architect and shows the top of the building connecting to another one. I was under the impression the "rift" was the space between one skyscraper to the next.

That is pretty rock solid. To theorize on it a bit, "Since 1996" the nomenclature "Since XXXX" is usually used to show people the durability of a brand, if you established your company or brand today you wouldn't use "Since 2013" on any advertisements. Heck you wouldn't use "Since 2013" usually for a good while, at least 5 years.....more like 10 or 20 years. just a thought. My thoughts precisely. Like my manager at work has a "Helping customers since XXXX and he's been there for years and I just joined a few months ago and don't have that on mine. It looks weird to have it. Well what do we have here, the only result when searching for "the sun plaza china" into Google: Sun Plaza International Hotel in Jining, Shandong, China. It's basically the only thing you find when you search Google, and I'm almost positive that I've read the name Jining somewhere on this forum. I really dislike the idea of the voice being Richtofen but you're right, he actually says that. There is all the proof I need, muffled voice is Richtofen.

Why is that a bad thing?

I personally haven't seen the loading screen for nuketown, but from what I hear, that's generally agreed upon and the post card from green run was slipped in the side by it, stating that the great leap forward comes after green run and of course after nuketown. And now that I think about it, the green run looks like it was just slid into there, so these levels may even be out of order, or just slid into there because they were on the bus, it fits, and is just there to show they made a stop on the way to provinince 22.

The radiation scientists are the zombies in hazmat suits on the map, and CIA and CDC are obviously who we play as. Marlton was not one of those two, I don't believe.

It's an interesting idea, but do you have any in-game evidence to support this? I obviously can't say it's wrong, even if I think it is, but is there anything you have to make it truer than just a theory?

Anyone else notice the yellow and blue streak in the top left of the loading screen, same ones on the Nuketown loading screen?

You are referring to this radio, yes? I have not played the game so I can't tell definitively, but is the moaning in-game the same as what we hear on the loading screen for the map, the deep and inaudible voice? If so, I have been under the impression that it was the voices that Dr. Edward Richtofen can hear as well. When he touched the pyramid on January 4th, 1940, he started to hear the voices, so I think that eating the flesh is another way to hear them perhaps? I'm not sure. You are definitely correct, killing Zombies does NOT make Richtofen weaker.

Careful with the CoD Wiki. It's pretty inaccurate and not a good source. Seems pretty out there IMO. I was under the impression that after we released Gersch from Aether, his soul (the white orb) can be seen ascending into the heavens. Likewise, I don't know where his body is so that may very well be out and about but I think that his soul is in a higher place. I think his body is in Aether, personally, but I can't prove that obviously.
