This Lol I don't know if you realize this or not, but I just said this above likke two posts above this one.

It goes to show that we made a theory that had nothing to do with the story at that time but they were able to incorporate it later on. Hear that guys, focus on it, don't stop posting theories and ideas!

Ascension after the events of Blops II zombies?
Tac replied to Poppymelt's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Well everything that was done in one timeline effects everything in the current and future timelines. So creating Zombies in timeline A effects every timeline afterwards. If Zombies were created in timeline B, then it effects B, C, D, etc and not A. Does that make sense? Ahh ok. Now if this is the case then, and the theory of Moon being first is credible, the real question we need to answer would be "Where did they travel after moon, to the future or to the past?" Correct me if I'm wrong. That is correct. It is possible for Moon to be situated before Shangri-La in terms of what year we are in. Technically, and this goes to Kill_All_Monkes too, it is impossible to time-travel to the past, meaning we couldn't go and prevent the nukes, but I won't get into that since it appears we may have gone into the past from Kino to Ascension. I personally don't believe the theory that Moon is before other maps time-wise, but it is indeed possible. And alternate realities are indeed very much in the game. When using a Q.E.D. and nothing happens, Richtofen says, "Nothing happened... at least in this reality." Now I'm not 100% familiar with Quantum Physics and perhaps those can switch timelines, I'd have to look into it, but you see my point on how they are indeed in the game. -
Here, you mention the singing in Shangri-La, however I can say that they are not the Vril-ya. I am listening to the CoD XP Zombies Panel and it was asked about the nursery rhyme that can be heard in Shangri-La, and they say that it is Samantha's Lullaby and they drop into a few maps every once in a while with the intention of being eerie. They say it has no major significance, other than that.

Ascension after the events of Blops II zombies?
Tac replied to Poppymelt's topic in General Zombies Discussion
You are correct. Given that they make numerous references to Ascension while in Call of the Dead and Shangri-La, it shows that they have been to the map already. -
I had heard they had said we did, but when did they apparently say it?

That sounds really cool actually, I think that that should for sure be implemented. I think that if they worked like prestige medals then there really should be no limit on how many, just based on how high you get, like the Four Guardians. I really really like this idea, and I don't even like Dead Ops haha.

The transition between Kino and Ascension
Tac replied to Kill_All_Monkeys's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Haha yeah. I mean Kino and Ascension is so open ended at this point that anyone can make any theory they want and it can't technically be disproved, know what I mean? I have no way to disprove what you believe because we don't know enough, all I can do is say my reasons for not believing it. -
I like the idea of killstreaks, except I think the kills would be by the hundreds for drops. I'd say something like 50 kills gets a Carpenter, 100 kills gets a nuke, 200 gets a Max Ammo, and so on. But the issue that one runs into is the fact that almost every player would be able to reach that end power drop, but then what happens? I mean generally the killstreak system works that it only resets when you die, and it can take a while for a player to die which would mean not very many drops, but if they reset before death, that would mean a lot of drops, see what I'm saying? Like where do you think the balance would be?

The transition between Kino and Ascension
Tac replied to Kill_All_Monkeys's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Sadly, there are many contradictions in the story. In the Kino Loading Screen, Richtofen asks where Samantha disappeared to, but we all know that he should know because Groph and Schuster called him and told him she was on the Moon. He even responded saying watch out for Fluffy, and that isn't something you forget. I agree completely, and don't worry about arguing. Many things don't get done unless there is debate which is what we're doing now and it's rather nice haha, one of the few truly civil debates I've had in a while. I think that the missile just had normal nukes since Maxis even said that they wanted to minimize the damage done. Some say that there was 115 in it, but that would refute the very quote above. The Earth in the game is kinda messed up, the continents don't look like they are where they should be, so it is difficult to tell which one's were hit. -
That first one about the mall and planks of would and stuff kind of reminds me of a Dead Rising style mode, just like the respawn and food since in Dead Rising you get health for eating stuff. It talks about battling each other and the Zombies, so it's kinda like a free-for-all yet also team deathmatch... Interesting. The van idea is also cool, having to race to a safe zone. These ideas are really rather interesting. I'll spare you guys my talking about every single idea, but they are intruiging to read, that's for sure.

The transition between Kino and Ascension
Tac replied to Kill_All_Monkeys's topic in General Zombies Discussion
What scientists? Are you referring to the one's in the Ascension Group or the one's at Griffin Station? I agree that he had intentions of time-traveling to Call of the Dead. Tell me if I am wrong but isn't the Casimir Mechanism the two plates on Moon that we enter the Generator and Stone into? What confuses me is that the Casimir Mechanism is on Moon yet Gersh actually built the first Casimir Mechanism prototype. That begs the question; what was the original Mechanism? I mean if you really think he went to Moon after Kino I can't say that he didn't, I have no proof just a strong belief. And he went to Shangri-La after Moon in 1940. Well the VRIL Generator is an important thing to the Vril-ya so in my eyes, he knew about both of them from his visit to Shangri-La in 1940. Then over the next 5 years they built up bases at both so he could get them later on when he needed them. Well the V-R11 runs on the energy source known as VRIL Energy and it has healing power beyond anyone's belief, hence why the zombie is cured and turned back into a human. We aren't sure if he made the V-R11 there since we know there were VRIL tests in Der Riese, but George Romero explains a bit about how there was stuff going on at CoTD by Group 935. "Years ago I did research for a World War II movie. I came across some old Nazi documents. I couldn't believe what I was reading. Element 115, necromancers, raising from the dead, real creepy stuff. The coolest thing? Some of that crazy shit happened right here." With that, my theory of how his adventures go is like this: 1.) Der Riese (1940) 2.) Moon (1940) 3.) Shangri-La (1940) 4.) Call of the Dead (1940) I think he was at those all throughout the beginning of the 1940's. Then his adventures are in order of the maps, based on my own personal theory. -
Yeah, this thread has all that. If you read through it, it talks about the diving sound and near the end someone brings up PhD viewtopic.php?f=59&t=4108

I have to agree that there are obvious buildings and structures drawn. At first, I had believed it may be Shangri-La due to the skull in the bottom right. The very bottome left is a grave to me, that is what I see. I don't think they necessarily had any of this image formed or planned out around future maps when they made this, but perhaps they did form a bit of some maps around this image.

What faction would control the 31-79_JGb215?????
Tac replied to MyLittleHellhound's topic in Shangri-La
Well the Naga is a very sacred snake to many ancient cultures, such as the Vril-ya. Many say that the Vril-ya themselves were shape-shifters and were able to take the shape of a Naga or serpent. In India, there was supposedly a race of beings known as the Naga's and they were extremely intelligent serpent-like beings that lived in "vast caverns illuminated by precious stones." That sounds like Shangri-La to me, lots of illuminated caverns. -
Actually Richtofen's Grand Scheme is to get into the pyramid and control the Zombies, Maxis is the one who sets off the rockets as a way to help stop Richtofen. "Greetings. If you are receiving this message, it means that Richtofen has entered the device. If you free me, I will help you minimize the damage that he will inevitably cause." That is what Maxis says right after Richtofen and Sam switch bodies. So the characters go through the steps and make it so that Maxis launches the nukes at the Earth.

Ascension after the events of Blops II zombies?
Tac replied to Poppymelt's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Well then lets think about this logically. If Ascension happened after the events of Moon, as your theory points out, and the events of "Five" and Ascension were unfolding at the same time (which is post Moon events), you seem to forget that the earth was Nuked. And if this is the case, how can the events of "Five" even happen at this point. "Five" takes place in the Pentagon, not a nuclear bomb shelter so if this was the case there wouldn't have even been a "Five" in the first place. Second hole in your theory is that the events of Call of the dead happen Post-Ascension (which in your theory is Post-Moon). Now simple question, if the world was nuked why would there have been a crew of actors and a director in Siberia making a movie for a post-apocalyptic world? Wouldn't they have died as well? The third hole is that this would now make Shangri-la the actual last map they were on in Black ops. And of course the problem with that is, Richtofen needed the focusing stone to power the vril-generator. Now if this was the reality, how could he have done the events on Moon, IF he didn't even have the necessary materials? See what I'm saying mate? Well the thing with time-travel is that every time you time-travel, you enter a new reality and everything that is in the past is no longer effected. Because of this, time-traveling to Moon and nuking the Earth did not effect Ascension or Call of the Dead, even if they happened after Moon. The events in history still happened, they are in a seperate timeline that can't be touched at this point. I hope that made sense, but what I am saying is that nuking the Earth during Moon effected nothing that happened in previous maps, no matter when they happened, even if after Moon in a time-frame basis. Now, I agree with you that Ascension was before Moon, but because of normal time-travel rules, your argument is invalid. I hope I didn't offend you or anything, I just thought I'd point that out. -
The transition between Kino and Ascension
Tac replied to Kill_All_Monkeys's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Here are the quotes for Richtofen in Ascension that relate to Gersh: "There is so much power here already, and you need more?! I like the way you think." "Fascinating, a dimensional rift. Goodbye Gersh, it would've been good to know you!" "An instant handheld teleporter, Gersh the genius!" In the radios he mentions a place known as Eagles Nest. Some say that that is Call of the Dead, and that is where Richtofen was when he was testing on Tank, Nikolai, and Takeo as well as making contact with Griffin Station. That was between 1942 and 1945. According to the radios, we already know he went to Moon multiple times between 1940 and 1945. I would disagree with this based on the quotes I listed in red to deathb4di2h0nor. He seems genuinely surprised at Gersh's existance as well as the idea of the Gersh Device. As for the Casimir Mechanism, he seems like he has heard of the man who created it but is not very familiar with how it actually works. "Casimir? Could this be related to Hendrik's work?" "Fascinating, this Casimir Mechanism is so intruiging." I agree that he had to study the pyramid for a while, which was done by Groph and Schuster the second that Sam walked into the MPD and they relayed all the information to him. I agree with that quote. By the way, it is MPD not MDT. I personally think he did know about needing the Focusing Stone and Golden Rod because after his first encounter with Moon he was teleported to Shangri-La for 19 days and comes back with a sudden amount of wisdom and knowledge about vril. How would that have happpened? I believe because he met the Vril-ya there and they informed him of the artifacts needed to make him a god. -

The "Wunder-ful" Wunder-Weapon Discussion!
Tac replied to killerussian's topic in Research & Development
My dream wonder weapon would be something that combines the ray gun, wave gun, and thundergun. I want it to have similar aesthetics as the Ray Gun, have the ability to split into two weapons like the Wave Gun, and shoot air like the Thundergun. I think that that would be so cool to shoot little blasts of air from dual weilding handgun-like weapons.
