We already have a defector from the site due in part to this whole team thing, so I do not want to see this happen to anyone else. Please understand that teams aren't leaving, just being revised so that this EXACT thing does not happen on a larger scale. The thing is that there were really only two teams to go to for the most part, so you couldn't really join a lower team and work your way up like that. But on the flipside, too many teams causes even more rifts. CoDz has seen its share of fights, civil wars, and rifts, that is something we as a whole are trying to prevent before it gets too unmanageable.

I feel like I may have missed all of that, so this may sound dumb, but I just don't think the massacre is the outbreak, I think it is the standoff. Regardless, I doesn't really effect the time/place of the map all that much. I think we should talk FIVE and that revelation of it being that 3 day span.

I agree, I mean to me the atmosphere just seems real gloomy so I believe they died. However, without proof one way or the other, I am going to stay relatively neutral on that one. From my understanding, the Massacre IS the standoff between the Russians and the Americans. Therefore, I do not believe that saying that the Massacre is the Zombies is a correct statement. Also, I believe that the intel says that the massacre was for 1 week in the month of October in 1945, but I will check again.

How can you stand by your point when it's been decided that they will stay? As said by everyone else, we will be working out the specific this weekend, just be patient.

Personally I am believing that the breakout did not occur right during the Massacre at Der Riese, but I cannot prove that in any fashion. I believe that Verruckt was first. Just let me take you through my thoughts, rip them apart as you wish. In the 4th Call of the Dead radios, they say the following: I believe that the static is taking the place of "killed by," so I believe that they died in Verruckt. We know that Smokey died, that is confirmed in the poems and haiku's. As for John, it is unconfirmed what happened to him or when. Dempsey was captured, that is confirmed. So with that, I believe that Verruckt was the end of that squad. That means that Nacht der Untoten is either before Verruckt and it can be the same squad, or it is after Verruckt and they are definitively different squads. We have absolutely no idea when or where Nacht der Untoten is, besides Germany. To me, it is unlikely that they would have escaped Nacht der Untoten and made it to Verruckt, but that is just me. So to me, that means two separate squads. Then comes the issue of when. Either the squad was sent in with the first and they just crashed, or they were later on at some point. In the terminal, they state that 115 has inherent electrical damage, and this is the only instance I can see that applying. I do not believe that they would be going to NDU with 115, so they were leaving somewhere with 115 in my eyes. As we stated, they died in Verruckt presumably, and the only other time near Verruckt when they were in Germany would be Der Riese, so I naturally connected the two.

I will be very excited to see that, I have such conflicted thoughts for the first two maps I'd love to see other people's thoughts.

Haha that is fine, no worries. I just can't find a better theory to how they got to NDU. It seems to me that they die there, I don't know it's in the middle of nowhere. We know the people in Verruckt die, that is confirmed via CoTD radios, so I am just stumped. I mean if anyone has a better theory, I'd be open to changing mine.

This in no way something I was aware had began to cause a problem, as in I don't fully understand the "this had to be addressed!" posts, but I do agree that this is something that could very easily cause a problem. Apparently, it already has too. Let the mods and admin do their job, they have been here the longest and they know what's best. If you want to make complaints, go ahead and do so, but don't do it without reading the above message first. Also, let's stay calm here and be civilized, make your suggestions reasonable and nonviolent. :)

It says the "second outbreak at Nacht der Untoten." They mention Russian allies. To me, that screams that the crew was in NDU, as there is a Russian and it would be the second outbreak at that map.

I agree that Der Riese happens after Verruckt, but I believe that NDU happened after the Massacre at Der Riese, which occurred mid-October for one week long.

I guess you have a point, but I am firm believer that the taking of the 115 after the Massacre at Der Riese is the source of the NDU outbreak. I guess I will have to move NDU to the 3rd outbreak, even though I know you all will disagree. Dempsey didn't have to be a fighter at Verruckt to get the MoH, he got that with this work at Peleliu

Dempsey was not a Marine, I honestly don't believe he was. I think he was captured before they fought the Zombies. Notice how only 3 Marines are in the trailer, I believe he was taken. As for the Massacre at Der Riese, it wasn't before Verruckt so my timeline is still valid :D

About the voices, I can't tell what to think. The early maps are hard to take seriously on some parts because it is so early in the development, Zombieofthedead and I know that better than anyone. We have gotten into so many debates because of that exact thing.

As far as we know, we can't be sure how many they sent. Because it was a covert operation, the less people the better. The less noticeable and less people they would of had to of been accountable for, the better. In my eyes, they were on there way back after the Massacre at Der Riese and they loaded 115 in boxes to be taken back to the US. The 115 caused inherent electrical damage and caused the plane to crash. I agree that signs point to the marines at NDU dying, and the radio regarding Verruckt says that they were killed by the first batch of test subjects or something along those lines. That is why I am under the impression that they are two different squads.

I cannot tell for certain which was which. We don't know that the characters are the same, or that the two maps and the plane is even connected. The only thing we can go off of the Treyarch intel about the "2nd outbreak at Nacht der Untoten" and the idea that NDU is first, so they kind of contradict each other.

We have no reason to believe they worked with Nova 6 gas at Ascension, nothing I have found yet

It is possible, but I just don't believe that they were producing it on there own. They have meteors that they were using and while they did need a more regular supply, something about them making it doesn't sit right with me. However, I can easily be wrong and this could be helpful, so I am going to give you brains. EDIT: Apparently I must spread, so I owe you!

They really confuse me because the purpose of the Gersch Device was for it to be a portable teleporter (my thoughts at least), so how it differs from the FIVE Teleporters, you would think, would be minimal. Yet the effects it has on Zombies are troubling to me, why they are destroyed and sucked in with the Gersch and why nothing happens with the FIVE teleporters. For me, I can't tell if 115 does damage to them, I can't be sure on my thoughts about that, but 115 is know to be purple, so the fact that the GD and Teleporters are red, look so different, and have number coming out makes me believe there isn't 115.

Well we can't be certain that he was even working with 115, he says he has learned things about it, not that he was using it. I mean the the Gersch Device and FIVE teleporters use very similar technology, but explain this to me. How can zombies go through the FIVE teleporters if it has 115 in it? I have always been under the assumption that due to the excess 115, they cannot go through it, so that would mean they would need an alternate energy. And if the Gersch Device has 115 in it and the Zombies die, how do they go through the FIVE teleporters just fine? As for the Thundergun in Kino, I have spent many long nights thinking this over and my only two theories are that Gersch worked in 935 at Kino and made it with Maxis, and Project Thunder is actually not the Thundergun. The other idea is that it is just added last second, but I always hate that reason.

Well It kinda makes sense for it to at least be powered by 115 right ? I mean no way the thing is solar powered... I haven't found any evidence supporting that the Thunder gun is powered by 115 I have a feeling K1llsteelr could give us a good idea of how the Thunder gun works There are other ways to be powered than just solar or 115. To me, whatever new technology is powering the teleporters and Gersch Device is powering the Thundergun.
