  1. With FIVE, we can't tell. I assume it is around the same time though, but because they are two different teams working on each map (FIVE and Executive Order), we can't tell which was put in first. As for 2012, I believe that, like the real life theories, it was the Mayans. They didn't have to know Maxis would be bad, they just had to know the world would end on that day. I have heard some people say that there are Mayan marking in Shangri-La, and if that is true, it makes sense to me.
  2. In my own opinion, I believe that the Devil is in Aether and is influencing Sam, that the Illuminati is in Richtofen's head, and that the Mayan's predicted the end of the world and that Moon is on 12/21/12 ang that is the end of the world, but that is just me :)
  3. I can't tell yet, I don't want them to be drinkable as that could be a hazard or something, and I don't want the bottles coming open during shipping so I want to seal them, so at that point, it is worthless to make them taste. On the other hand, I want them to have the taste or smell because it would be SO COOL!! :D
  4. Yeah I completely agree, I am actually gaining hesitancy on that idea, it's just the only thing I can go off of for now. I feel like we haven't found about 75% of the secrets on the map.
  5. I just want to let people know that I am actually in the process of creating an online zombies store where people can buy high quality bottles, labels, even have everything premade and mixed and shipped to you. Thought I would just mention this here, carry on. :D
  6. Lol sorry, I thought it was another member who said it was colloquial as a defense, so I was commenting about that. As for the JFK thing, I mean I can't imagine how long it would take to Castro to actually come in person. That had to of been a hard thing to do. However, the entire situation had dies down about 6 months after the initial 13 days the event lasted. They had agreed to take their nukes out of Cuba as long as we took our nukes out of Turkey, which we agreed to do 6 months later as not to cause suspicion. Haha I love being a history nerd, that's why I am going to teach it! :geek: But that is just in the public world, I am sure it may have lasted longer than six months in the board room and war room. I do find it slightly unlikely though that they would bring him in over a year later and still reference it, but I could easily be wrong.
  7. Updated FIVE with two possible times.
  8. To be honest BlindBusDrivr, I have thought about that and I agree completely on the 2012 thing. As for the FIVE thing, I mean you have a point, so to me that would mean it's in November of 1962 because they speak of the event like it has passed just a bit, and the event was the last week of Oct.
  9. You think so? I agree with that to an extent, I just don't see any hints in the game as to them time-travelling. Like there were no quotes or any of the usual stuff that makes us say, "Oh yeah, that makes it clear they time-travelled."
  10. I don't think you can bank on the technology of the Station because the technology will only be what it was when it was made, which was in the 40's. So technically, it can be anytime after that.
  11. Very true, is there anything I have presented that you would like a link for?
  12. The main reason that most think the Thundergun is elsewhere is because it also appears in Kino
  13. He knows that the MDT's are capable of Time Travel, he learned that after Kino, so it's not just a colloquial term. @BlindBusDrivr Ascension and FIVE are at the same time I agree, but FIVE is only 3 days before JFK dies. viewtopic.php?f=57&t=18174
  14. Is there anything that anyone would like changed or updated?
  15. I don't believe that the campaign is all that connected to Zombies, in the sense of the numbers at least. I believe it shows the technology and the consistency of it in that era. And I believe that the only, if not only then one of the most common, number coming out of the Gersch Device/Teleporters/Thief is '6'
  16. We know that from Ascension to Call of the Dead, they used a rift in space, hence the quote: "Fascinating, a Dimensional Rift! Goodbye Gersch, it would have been good to know you." To me, that is a clear cut sign that they teleported. Then the "too far into the future" quote means that they did indeed time travel, so that is my reasoning for that. After that, we see no sign of time travel, so I believe that we are just moving in normal time. I do have other theories that by "too far into the future" he means 2012 possibly and the whole Mayan thing, but alas that cannot be proven and is only a theory.
  17. A large reason I believe that is based off the quote from the radio: "Thank God they did not take the diary: the things I have learned about the Element 115." While it can be debated, to me that sounds like they aren't working with 115, or that they have very little knowledge with it. If you think about it, nothing in Ascension really calls out 115, to me at least. Some say that the Thundergun originates from the Ascension Group and is called "Project Thunder," yet that weapon doesn't have 115 in it (that we can confirm at least). We also have never seen a reference from the Ascension Group to 115, they worked largely with Nova 6 gas, that was what they did. I mean I have searched around Ascension, nothing sticks out that that they were working with 115.
  18. I was going to post this in Ascension but because it also includes FIVE, I figured it should go here. It was recently brought to my attention in this thread that the Gersch Device has numbers coming from it. Now, I have made it 59 solo on Ascension and have seen the damn device so many times, I am truly surprised I forgot about it. Many have known this for a while, and I had thought about it for a while, but I am going to offer new information and a new perspective. I'll cover how neither have 115, as well as the connection between them, Ascension, and related things. I am going to repeat my reply to that thread, just go more in-depth with it. As we know, the FIVE teleporters and the Gersch Device each have numbers protruding out of it, meaning that the technology must the same. After Operation Paperclip and Operation Osoaviakhim in 1945 after the war ended, the United States and Russia took the technology and the genius' that were harbored in Germany and made their own technology with it. We have proof that some of the scientists in the Ascension Group were ex-935 members, and I am sure that most would agree that the Ascension Group, or part of it, worked in Ascension. That means that there were ex-935 members working in Ascension, so they could have created some of the technology that is apparent there. With the advancements in technology over 15 years, 1945 being the ending of the war and the early 60's when Ascension takes place, the scientists came to the realization that they did not need to use 115 in the teleporters. In case you were wondering, the FIVE teleporters and Gersch Device contain absolutely no 115 in them. EDIT: A large reason I believe that there is no 115 in them is based off the quote from the radio: "Thank God they did not take the diary: the things I have learned about the Element 115." While it can be debated, to me that sounds like they aren't working with 115, or that they have very little knowledge with it. Feel free to comment if you wish to discuss!

  20. I appreciate all you have done for the site, it was the first place I felt accepted to discuss my theories on the story. I also appreciate you sending me a PM telling me you like my enthusiasm :)
  21. That is a good theory. To me, it means that the technology is the same. After Operation Paperclip and Operation Osoaviakhim in the 40's after the war ended, the United States and Russia took the technology and the genius' of the Nazi's and made their own technology, creating things like the Winter's Howl and the teleporters. We know that some of the scientists in the Ascension Group were ex-935 members, so naturally I am sure we all believe that those who worked in Ascension were under the influence of the Ascension Group. With that, I am saying that there were ex-935 members working in Ascension. With the advancements in technology that came in the 15 years after the war ended, they realized that they did not need to use 115 in the teleporters. (In case you didn't know, the Gersch Device and FIVE teleporters contain absolutely no 115). With that, I do believe that they are deeply connected, I am just not completely sure how yet.
  22. Well I think it matters to figure exact locations, I mean people still believe that it could be at Rebirth Island, so until we find definitive proof, or at least close to it, people will still have different thoughts sadly.
  23. I think that because the possibility for time travel was made very clear in the Ascension easter egg, CoTD takes place in present time. As said above, Richtofen clearly states that they time traveled with the "to far into the future". Another thing to support that being the cast. I think that by "to far into the future," he meant to be a few years back, but that is just me. Next up is Shangri-La, which says ANDO the radios, and that is a company that works with radiowaves and things like that, and they were made in 2004. Personally, I doubt that they would have made all new weapons just so they can be modern, and correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the weapons are the same through all the maps besides the WunderWeapons. Those are just my thoughts though :D
  24. That makes sense, I guess I will go along with it for sure then. Thank you for clearing it up for me :D
  25. Fair enough, I'll give in :D
