Well they know of the power she has I assume, so they try and shoot her thinking she will die. From the outside looking in we know it does nothing, but to them it makes perfect sense, so it doesn't really "accomplish nothing" in my opinion.

As I listen, I don't feel like the whooshing sound is the same as a soul going into the pyramid, it sounds like the pyramid closing. Although, it is INCREDIBLY similar, the second sounds just seems a bit more... rough? If that is the right word, but I will go along with it, I suppose I will agree that Maxis is killed.
-
It's not? How do you know that, it seems foolish to have Ascension (Baikonur) based off Launch (not Baikonur?) which is based of Executive Order (Baikonur).
-
I agree and disagree. I currently have two different theories of how it went down, they can even be melded into one. I have been under the impression that Dr. Maxis was not the one shot, but Sam was shot at. In the radio, Dr. Maxis specifically says "open the machine." We know that Sam then opens the pyramid and she shares a few intimate lines with Dr. Maxis. Then he says to kill them all and then we hear a gunshot, followed by Dr. Maxis yelling "no!!" and the pyramid closing back up. With that, I do not believe it can be completely ruled out that maybe they tried to shoot at Samantha and Maxis screamed. One the flip side, you all could be right in saying that Maxis was the one shot at and killed, but I do not see why Samantha would have started her demonic laughter if she had just watched her father die, so maybe she laughed because they missed. My theory means we'd have to find a new reason of death for Maxis, unless he isn't dead... Regardless, I agree that Maxis is an A.I. when Richtofen encounters him by the Casimir Mechanism, but I just have trouble believing that Maxis was the one shot.

Yeah some do believe and understand, some don't, which is completely ok. I just wanted to show my reasons why I believe that it is.

Haha I'm still debating whether it's in an alternate timeline tbh, the dates match up pretty well. But I'm pretty sure the Earth is nuked in modern day not 60's :)
-
I am in complete agreement with Baikonur, I will quote something from my other thread about why I think it's Baikonur.
-
Well, I didn't mean it literally. There's like the huge blast of light like when you get EMPd in multiplayer on MW3. Hmm, weird, I didn't notice anything when I did it. Regardless, not a big deal. I agree that it is a graphical error, the only other thing I'd consider is HammerFace's Counter Earth Theory.
-
You don't get blinded by the rockets, nothing happens at all on Earth. But you are right when you say that it doesn't change the sky until you go back to Moon and then back to Earth.
-
There has been much discussion about this and the general consensus is that it is a graphics error on the part of Treyarch, since they have had errors in the past.
-
To me, the guns have absolutely no relevance at all to the time period we play in. There is no way to draw a line between what is story and what is not, it all depends on the person. Treyarch has made mistakes in the past and we overlooked those, so it can be done again. However, I do not look at this as a "mistake" because guns are essential to the game and how it is played. If we stuck to the time periods, half the stuff would be changed. While that is an exaggeration, you get my point.

Voting is a nay nay. It'll become a popularity contest and how many people can PM each other sway the vote. This is their site, let them choose. I think the community should have input, maybe they will say something worth while, who knows. But a vote is just bad waiting to happen to me.
-
HAHA you are oh so close Alpha, yet off in soo many ways The name is Brad
-
As "fair" as voting is, Carbon loves this site too much to leave it up to anyone but himself. I think that whatever decision is made, it will be made by him and no one else. I believe that two people could easily work together if they are the right people, dedicated and mature. If one person is chosen, Lissa should be the ONLY person considered in my opinion. At least out of everyone who has came forward thus far.
-
I agree. If it is one single person, Lissa is the only person I'd vote for. If it's multiple people, I would totally want in that.
-
I understand that you all probably hear this ALL the time, and whether everyone means it or not is another story, but I feel I have proven myself rather mature. Again, this counts for nothing, but I am 17 years of age. I am not looking for pure ownership, I mean even an Admin spot is fine for me. I just want to let you all know that I can financially support the site, even if I do not run the site by myself. To wunderpancake: What do you mean?
-
I talked to a friend of mine who has a server with unlimited EVERYTHING (bandwidth, storage, etc) because he has multiple sites. He said I could have access to the server and run this site on it, if I am chosen of course. So that would cost no one ANY money at all. I bring it up because as Carbon said, ads are just wrong, and I have the means to run the site financially without ads and no one pays anything. I am glad that you are still viewing in Carbon, and I appreciate your response, I hope you see this :)

I know! They have done such good things to CoDz, I see great things with them while Covert stays. It'll be a bummer when Covert leaves
-
That makes a ton of sense, I can provide what ever funds along with Chopper and the back end people you talked about run the technical side. It distributes power pretty well. To wunder: Admin's are almost impossible to be, that isn't very likely for anyone really. Mods are hard, and so are Dwellers, it all depends really.
-
I like that idea a lot. I think you two would be incredible until you leave Covert, and you two could choose the proper person to take over with Lissa. To wunder: Haha so has everyone. When CoDz gets busier I'm sure some people will get promoted and some demoted based on who is still here.
-
Oh of course. That is what I meant by do great things, anyone who wants to make ANY drastic changes to the site is insane. The site isn't broken, don't fix it. If anyone tries to fix it, they are not fit to run it.
-
I know you don't know me, but I am sure I can do great things with all your help if/when I get confirmation I can pay for it. I know right now I can pay for about a year and a half's worth guaranteed, but that's for later if I am actually considered. I agree that he may have put this up early, but I think he did it to weed out everyone. He wants to put it up while it's slow so that he knows who is still here and so that new members later on don't offer up to do it when they are too new and don't know what CoDz is about. I agree with Chopper to an extent, have more like a board of members, a board of choosers or whatever. None of them have more power than another. However, majority gets very frustrating. But I suppose 1 person gets worse. Idk I think 1 person works fine, just have checks and balances to keep everyone's power in order.
-
Thought so. So who is the person you have in mind?
-
I derped up, and am confused lol. Are you saying "there is someone (Tac) who..." or "Tac, there is someone (unknown) who..." expecting me to ask "Who?" And I agree, I mean PayPal accounts are easy to use, and even though this economy is rough, it only takes a few dollars to make a large difference.
-
I agree with all that, that's why I call upon the older members who make their own income to support the site they love so everyone can have access to it.
