Jeez, you guys are fast :shock: I take one night off and lose 6 whole pages Anyway, heres my take. We still have no idea who the mystery voice is. However, we do know most of the people involved in Call of Duty games as voice actors. Where is the best place to go to find out about voice actors? You got it, IMDB. Let's get to work people, this guy will be found. Secondly, everyone is talking about timeframes being in the near future. However, people seem to be ignoring the fact that this is Black Ops. Black Ops soldiers have always been known to use 'experimental' equipment up to 30 years before actual production. This gives us a timeframe going back as far as the 80s. The Hex Colours are a good find, but I don't see how they can relate at all to anything... Any ideas on how they link together? I'm gonna be up all night trying to work this out -Jolteon

Anyone know if this is the same model used in MW3? If not we may have a timeframe for BOps2! Offtopic: With all the sudden hype, and all the information needing to be processed, is there any chance of opening an external chat site so we can all discuss together? I know there are plenty of places to do it, and we could put a link to it in the announcements section so people could see it. I was thinking something more like a 'public' chatroom, where anyone can join or leave anytime without needing other users information to talk to them. This will probably update when the site updates with the next image. FPSRussia confirmed we had figured it out, tacitus.com confirmed it, I don't believe there is any more to find. As for the fluctuation, it is a possibility. There is a chance that Treyarch would hide something in thay manor... Good thinking, keep an eye on it -Jolteon

Wow, so many posts in so little time, I'm falling WAY behind :? Okay, so Tacitus is a weapons manufacturer. We've worked out that part of the puzzle. So I guess we need to wait for the next part before we can find anything conclusive? Anyone know when it will be unlocked? Personally, I think we are yet to get any conclusive clues towards Black Ops Two, and I don't really know where to go from here :? If possible could I get one of you lovely people to PM me or make a thread summarising what we know so far? Okay, I'm WAAAAAYYYY behind on all of this, and I have only had time to read through the most recent posts, so apologies if I sound stupid, or repeat stuff that has already been disproven etc... PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG! Right, my take; So far we have the Quadrotor, and the word Tacitus. It has already been denied that Tacitus has no link to historical figures, or any website, so I think we can rule that out. The general consensus from what I can see is that they are some sort of weapons manufacturing company, that possibly made the Quadrotor. As of yet there is no confirmation of any of this however. So, we are still looking? Right, then this is where I think we should go. The word TACITUS, is clearly going to be a key part of the viral. Similar to GKNova6, TACITUS will most likely have some sort of link to the campaign, and possibly to zombies. Nova6, as we all know, was one of the focuses of the campaign, and was alo heavily involved in zombies. My first suggestion. As of yet, we still do not know of the origins of many of the Wonder Weapons. TACITUS is said to be a 'future weapons company', so perhaps they in fact made the Wonder Weapons themselves? Is it not possible that this company is actually trying to HELP the heroes? Perhaps they have been back in time, and in fact saw what Richtofen did and tried to combat against him to try and stop the destruction of the Earth? Or perhaps the opposite! Maybe they made the weapons to AID Richtofen in his quest for world domination? Suggestion two. It is still possible that we have not confirmed the meaning of the word TACITUS. I propose this. perhaps the meaning isn't TACITUS, perhaps it is T.A.C.I.T.U.S. Maybe we need to be looking for an anagram rather than a meaning... That's all for now. Dude, if you're really as good as you say, then prove it. Don't make excuses for why you didn't perform like the "best in the world"... Go to higher than the world record. Go to 200 and take a picture from a camera phone or something. You don't need a lot to prove yourself, just take a picture of the gameover screen and we will believe you. We will know if it is photoshopped, we will know if the game was hacked, we will know of any foul play, so just go to 200+ or even 100+ and prove yourself. Until then, you should expect the apprehension, and just let it slide rather than being cocky and making up excuses. On another, on topic, note... Way, if you'll let me, I'm happy to take part! I know I'm in no way the best player on the site, but perhaps I can a little bit of luck, or perhaps devise a new stratergy to give myself a chance. Let me know! -Jolteon

These look awesome So... What can I get from the off? Introduction, Done! Veteran, Done! 30-39 co-op, Done! Only prestige 2 though I was skeptical about the medal system replacing the usergroups, but actually seeing them has changed my mind a little. As much as I will hate not being my beautiful green colour, I am darkjolteon, not just a usergroup, and being darkjolteon is what matters. I like the idea of a=creating your own maps, but unfortunately doubt it will happen. It would require A LOT of time and effort to do that for consoles, and I'm not sure it would even be successful. It's just too risky for Treyarch to implement without dedicating all of their time to doing it. We can dream though right? -Jolteon

Getting in touch with Carbon isn't actually a bad idea. Maybe we could make a thread with sort of like a petition and then get Covert to contact him about it? Treyarch has always paid attention to this site, and I think it is our best hope of having Zombies unnaffected by the horror that is COD Elite! Anyone else with me on this? -Jolteon

I'm not sure if I will be working on Sunday or not... Shame it isn't on Saturday I am free then If I am free I will definately join! Also, I'd be more than happy playing with Eye and Phxntxm! I've played with Phxntxm before and really enjoyed that game and have been meaning to try and get a game with Eye for a while That is, if it is okay with you guys of course! If Zombies becomes part of Elite then I will rage so badly. It may work for Multiplayer maps and such, but Zombies too? Unfortunately I can see how it is going to be done. Every month will be a couple of Multiplayer maps, and then every few months you will get a Zombie map too. I'm gonna have to say it now, it will ruin Zombies, and we may never see it again after Black Ops Two. So many people don't like CoD Elite, and most wish they never bought it, so if they bring it back then it WON'T do well at all! Hence, less money being made, and of course Activision will blame Treyarch and say it is because Zombies has 'gone stale' and needs to be replaced. Perhaps we need to make Treyarch aware that barely anyone wants Elite back? It worked with Zombies. The community told them we wanted more, and more we got! Perhaps there is a way for us to do something similar to let Treyarch know that we don't want to see the return of Elite? It's a long shot, and of course it is based from hypothetical scenarios, but surely we should still try? For Zombies? Let me know if you agree. -Jolteon

CoD elite is the biggest hunk of crap to ever come out of the Call of Duty series. And luckily for us, MOST people actually agree. Treyarch are famous for being one of the best, if not THE best, at listening to their fanbase. If more than 80% of the fan base are screaming for them to scrap CoD elite and go back to the classic map pack system, then that is what they will do. Either that or they will make something new that will probably be much improved on CoD Elite. Obviously we will still have Xbox getting priority over PS3 in terms of when they get the map packs, but that is because of Activisions douchebaggery and there is unfortunately nothing Treyarch can do about it. Honestly I don't even know why Microsoft bothered to do it. 90% of Xbox users would actually prefer PS3 users to get the maps at the same time so that they can actually have discussions, and speculate TOGETHER, rather than having to hold back so that they don't ruin the surprise for PS3 users. Okay, I've rambled a bit. To conclude, CoD Elite will probably not make a return in Black Ops 2, and will will most likely either see the return of the map pack system, or something new entirely! Also, Microsoft and Activision are selfish Douchebags that only care about money and nothing about the people that use their products, or anyone else for that matter. Never fear my friend, have faith in Treyarch's game making abilities! I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that whatever Treyarch do, it will be EPIC! Happy slaying my friend -Jolteon
