It could be either a Ranking system or a Difficulty system, Or something else!

I feel like the it is a Zombie ranking system though, Recruit, Hardened, and Veteran. Or could be like Infected = Recruit, Turning to zombie = Hardened, Then Full Zombie (Veteran). Because the zombie in the first emblem looks like he just got infected. So this new hand could be The rank of Zombie since all you see is a hand

In my theory, I believe all these "Emblems" Coming out are some sort of a zombie difficulty, As in choosing your own difficulty, First one was Recruit this one has to be hardened, Just a thought
