Howdy, I Don't know when this happened, but Jimmy is now linking to a different wikipedia page (did a search on the forums here and saw no mention of it). Anyways, the link listed on Jimmy's twitter page now goes to the Boulton and Watt steam engine: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watt_steam_engine I'm on PS3 and haven't looked into the new map, so this may or may not be relevant.

What do you think about the characters?
Snuggles replied to bbobs2's topic in General Zombies Discussion
What kind of messed up kool-aid are you people drinking that you like Marlton? He's the most annoying character I can recall playing in any game. As for the entire group, they all are their own special brand of boring. The original 4 were very good. These 4 are terrible. There is no comparison. And seriously, what the hell is up with anyone not hating Marlton. He's so awful in every way. -
Thanks for the response, and good on you for trying all those theories out. I wish it were like the old days where I could give you brains = )

Bump for hope of a relevant reply.

Ok, I haven't been following this very closely, but I have some ideas that I'm not sure have been tried. If so, let me know, if not, these have potential I feel. I'd try them myself but I haven't done the EE on tranzit yet. 1) EMP the bus and then try the navcard reader. maybe the bus has to be shut down to accept the new route? 2) after doing the easter egg, there are lasers shooting from the light poles that become powered. There is a Dr. Maxis quote where he says "excellent, you have activated the 2 obtuse vertices of the scalene. Quickly! Complete the tertiary node." Scalene triangles can only have 1 obtuse vertex (interior angle greater than 90 degrees) Maxis does refer to the "scalene" without saying triangle, however his last words of "complete the tertiary node" means complete the third node, indicating it is a triangle. It is not possible to have a triangle with 2 obtuse vertices. So that makes no sense to me whatsoever, if anyone can further clarify that would be helpful. However, this brings me to my suggestion. perhaps there are 3 (maybe 4?) light poles that have to be activated at the same time for the navcard reader to work. there is no hint as to which light poles need to be activated, meaning it would have to be trial and error. To further support this, Dr. Maxis has a quote where he says "it seems there is some new cargo aboard which needs to be delivered", so it seems that Maxis has a hand in getting the navcard machine to work, and will comment on there perhaps being something in the bus when you change routes (or bring a 2nd bus, whichever happens)

aaaaaaand my bubble has been successfully burst. Oh well, good to know. I haven't really been staying up on the zombies stuff like I intended. Thanks for the info.

I haven't heard anyone else mention this, but while I was goofing off in the first room, suddenly the little gap in the floor filled up with lava. I was walking from the outside facing window near the rifle towards the building table, when suddenly the entire screen shakes like an earthquake and then there's lava filling the gap in the middle of the room. I died and didn't get a chance to explore and see if anything else changed. Has anyone else experienced this?

I played with no internet connection, and I froze. Lack of internet didn't solve it. This isn't a problem you have to go look for, either. I understand games and software have bugs that can't always be found before launch. however, this is so systemic, widespread, common, and easily found that they had to either not beta test their own game on PS3, or they beta tested it for 15 minutes and said "yep, we're good" and moved on. It's just another complaint in their long history of completely screwing over PS3 players. I'm sick of their shit. They have no excuse.

I am right there with you. I have been in more than 1 game where I'm doing quite well, and start getting higher up in the rounds, and the damn thing freezes and all those stats are lost. Did they not beta test the freaking game? I could have told them within 2 hours of beta testing that this was a problem. It's bad enough they only ship us half a damn game (if they never did DLC, then extra crap we pay for would just be in the next game, and each game would just start with way more content), but then they don't bother testing it to see if the half a game they did send us works? Bullshit.

Official CallOFDuty.com BO2 Viral thread - UPDATE 7
Snuggles replied to Strwrsbob's topic in General Discussion
The photo from the release and the screen shot you took don't match up. The triangle flag is not underneath the medals in your screenshot like it is in the photo, and also the flag from your screenshot to the left is not in the photo. They are similar, and it may indeed be in the pentagon, however there is no evidence that it's the window you claim it is. in fact, the images are different. It probably is not related to zombies. -
Sorry, I didn't see that this thread existed, but here's what I posted in the other thread that I think belongs here instead: So, leapfrogging off of Duckcall00's work we could try to figure some things out. Sadly I don't have time to really go through this very thoroughly, but I'll try to move the ball forward a little bit. What's unique about this transmission is the letters that don't match up when they first appear. The whole message when corrected is: "THE ENEMY COULD BE ANYWHERE AND IT COULD BE ANYONE" The message with the initial errors put back into it reads: "THw ENEMY COUzD Bq ANYWHoRE AND IT COULh BE ANYONE" obviously that's nonsensical, but it could have some meaning either using the letters: w, z, q, o, h or the spot they are in within the sequence: 3w, 14z, 18q, 25o, 40h alternatively, the numbers if we did not count the spaces would be: 3w, 12z, 15q, 21o, 33h or one more possibility is to take the letters and assign them a number in the alphabet (A = 1, B = 2, etc.) and we get: 23, 27, 17, 15, 8 --(some methods start with A = 0, so to convert juts subtract 1 from each number) These are a few directions this may go in, however I only have time to suggest them and don't have time to investigate and see if any of these are coordinates or anything like that.

Here's a pic of the zombie in question playing poker: -
True, it is the set up of Texas Hold 'Em (each player has 2 cards unique to them, and all players share the 5 cards in the middle) however, we have no idea who won. Simply having the Ace of Spades means nothing unless it is part of the winning hand, like say a flush or 3 of a kind, or whatever was the best combo any player had. All the cards in the middle are face down, as well as the other players cards. Therefore, we have no idea who had the best hand.

What i want most from DOA2 is for it to NEVER EVER EXIST EVER. DOA was the worst waste of time a programmer could possibly dream of when making black ops. if i could remove it from my copy of the game, i would.

Hey, on the 2nd photo i noticed there is text that is somewhat readable in the background. I tried to figure out as much as I could. The letters I'm sure of are in white, and the ones I am guessing are in blue. Here's what it says: " Massive park -no health or energy bar -(undecipherable, first word kind of looks like berlin) -Cinematic, realistic damage -fast paced, but strategic (undecipherable) pnitsinoty him ssitint yot -P-We go(\)ot and no eel fish -Interesting, deep stem yunk where the industrial revolution divided the world into -Story the addis with guns themes and plot " Some parts were easy, and some parts still don't make sense. However, there is the text in the background as best as I can make it out. Hope it helps!

How far have you gotten on No Man's Land solo? Solo: 192 kills
-
Someone has to have done both call of the dead AND shangri la easter eggs in order to do the moon easter egg. Also, call of the dead has to be done in co-op mode, not just solo. so you need at least 2 for call of the dead easter egg, then 4 for shangri-la, THEN you can do the moon. (or get someone in your group who has already done both). You'll know you can do it if Richtofen has the golden rod with a little red thing in the middle when you are playing Moon
-
Finally finished both last night

Thanks for the quick response, [brains]

I have 2 questions if anyone knows: 1) can you lose the perks from the easter egg by running into the red astronaut? 2) can this be done split screen? I know two player is sufficient, but I have done call of the dead and shangri la, and when I play online I have the golden rod / stone, but i don't seem to have it when i do split screen Thanks in advance

I need them too, you can add me if you're using playstation: Snuggles-2

Sorry about the double post, but I completely missed this. There's actually three books. There's another open manual hidden in the furnace across the bridge, next to double tap that also makes that same sound when you activate it. And I haven't tried doing anything around any other illuminati writing. I'm also just stuck at college all week with WaW in my dorm. I've been searching for new stuff like crazy, but if there's things you guys would like me to verify between the Blops and WaW version, post it and I'll give it look next time I play the WaW Der Riese. .... Why aren't we still pursuing this? I would but I'm ps3. Seems like good evidence that clicking this stuff in order may start something. lets start focusing more on that and see where we get.

Can you please post a link to where Treyarch said this?
